So through the magic of Twitter, I've found that there are surprisingly a good number of people in Japan playing Starcraft 2. As a matter of fact, I happen to be watching one of their competitive streams right now. The skill level is, admittedly, not as high as other foreign tournaments or Korean tournaments, but it's interesting to see the scene slowly grow in a country that usually doesn't focus much on PC gaming at all.

Due to the fact most people use their mobiles for everything, a lot of people don't even own a PC. Good find tho, been looking for more Japanese scene stuff. Wishing there was a few good casters I could sub to on Youtube so I could both study and enjoy starcraft at the same -time.

That's primarily a news site for BW/SC2 news. The Starcraft 2 JP Community is purely an SC2 community dedicated to hosting tournaments and stuff.

I was reading an article on Godsgarden...

Fighting games are mostly played in the arcades, and arcades are subject to gambling laws if they decide to have a tournament with an entry fee and prize. That's why they can get away with it on Godsgarden, because all their tournaments are on consoles and the organizers are not big corporations.
