Sry for the Headline. Would be great if any admin could change it on Become A Progamer (by BreakeR Hi TL, i know there are already a lots of this "Become a Pro" Threads but i really think this one will help me a lot to improve. I'm a 15 years old Terran Player from Austria and my aim is it to become a ProGamer. SC2 is my first RTS Game i played it since two months after the release and sty at the moment in the Platin League but play already a lot against Diamond Players. In this Blog i will my thinks, Replays, Problems and so on. Please help me for example with analyzing Replays. I will Update this Blog every few Days. I have 4 years time (than i end the school) to become a really good Player)
Goals: -In 4 years i wanted to be a really good player ready for playing (and wining!) some greater tournaments. -Atm my Maingoal is to get in this year in the Master league with solid Mechanics and good macro. (1st Question: Is this Goal realistic?) This are my two Maingoals atm.
Updates: 1st Update: + Show Spoiler +In this 1st blog entry i want to write my overall gameplans atm: TvT:In this MU im very confused i have no solid BO so i often open with a Reaper-Expand into Standard MechPlay. TvP:I think this is my best MU. Atm i open with some differents FE Bo's and do an timing Push when Stim is finished. After this push i add some Ghosts and a lots off Armour and attack upgrades. So i play every game MMM+Ghosts+Vikings(if its necessary) TvZ:Thats a pretty solid MU from me i start mostly with 2Rax or reactor hellions -> Expand. Than I transition into Marine, Tanks Medivacs and if necessary Ghosts. I drop a lot and try to hold the Zerg Basecount low. So thats it for today. Tomorrow i will Upload some Replays and it would be very nice if u would help me on my way to pro!

heyyyy. your English is adorable. Getting into masters in one year of solid training is a realistic goal. You will be at a disadvantage since this is your first RTS as there is a general feel that only comes with time that you will need to establish with more dedication. |

Getting masters this year is realistic given that you're in platinum. However, keep in mind that many people like myself hit masters without really trying so don't mix up "pro" and "masters league". I'm not even close to being a pro.
Also, "becoming a pro gamer" is something that kind of happens, and for others it's nothing more than a dream. Some people have natural talent, others don't. I think I could play 12 hours a day and I would still get destroyed by IdrA 51 times in a row in a best-of-101.
Don't screw up your life for a dream. If you think you have a real chance of going pro, then go for it, but be careful. |

Its a long way, thats for sure. Try not to let it take over your life. It doesnt really take more than 5-6 hours a day, until you get really really good. And find some practice partners. Since you're on EU you could look up "Yao gaming" chat channel and go from there.
And you never said, why do you want to become a progamer? |

I want to become a ProGamer because its the first game i really really really like i never played a game with that fun like sc2. And everytime i see a big tournament like IEM, MLG and so on i think: "One day i will be there." So thats it at the whole.
I play at my Holydas 6 hours per day and when i have school i play mostly not longer 2-4 hours, so that i have enough time to learn, meet friends and do sports. |

Hi, today i uploaded some TvP Replays.
1st Replay: http://replayfu.com/r/nv3ZCn + Show Spoiler +This first Replay i played against Carapace in a custom Game i tryed to be very agresive. I think this Game was pretty good from me. Sadly i had done some Missclicks because i have bought a new Keyboard. The key to the win was (i think) that i was able to delay his Expansion so long.
2nd Replay: http://replayfu.com/r/0MVpPk + Show Spoiler +Here i tried a kind of 1-1-1 Allin
3rd Replay: http://replayfu.com/r/v9kmzm + Show Spoiler +This game i lost and i dont know exactly why in the first fight i make big Microfaults. But on the whole i dont no my faults.
Pls give me some Tips waht are my faults. I think i have big deficits with my Unitcontrol in big fights. Have u Tipps for me? Would be nice
Thanks BreakeR |

Since no Terrans replied, I'll give you some tips even though I'm a Brotoss player.
I just watched your 3rd game, cause I dont really care for the games you won XD
You seem to have no timing whatsoever.
Look at it this way. Your stim finishes, you dont move out. Your shield finishes, you dont move out. Your medivacs arrive, you dont move out. You start +2w and +1 armor and then you move out? They werent even 1/3 done? Pick a timing and push then. Dont just attack when you feel like it. Also, when you scanned his nat, what made you think you can take that army on, lol? |
