For the past couple of weeks my router has slowly been killing itself. I expect this is because it's a Linksys and it was on the stock firmware - it had been reset unbeknownst to me, as I had previously flashed dd-wrt to it. It had been progressing from once every couple days to dropping the connection every 3 minutes. Resetting it each time was required. 30/30/30 didn't do anything to solve the problem, and it's definitely not Comcast's fault (how many times has that ever been said?)
It's already caused me quite some annoyance, particularly costing me quite a bit of esports monies in EVE (read the thread, you'll find me talking about it).
I spent the past 20 minutes flashing, reflashing, updating, and configuring a new dd-wrt. Spent the last 5 minutes sitting here watching my network status. It's stable so far but....here's hoping...

That's pretty bad, I had a ton of issues with my router a few weeks ago. I eventually determined that my brother dropping the router on the ground had somehow broken it and caused the internet to be functional but not usable, as when I got a new router, reset the winsock entries and the TCP/IP stack, got a new modem, tried a different computer and a laptop, then finally got the setup working in just around a week
