I'm currently giving classes to a high school dropout who messed up his life playing CS and WoW. Boy did he get rewarded by those games. But what about real life...?
Games should not only be defended. The gaming community should be the first one to point their fingers at the product and say what needs to be said. I do agree that the common image games have among the oldest generations is pretty bad. But the kids today are pretty familiar with the gaming industry. The fight is elsewhere. Games will be widely accepted, it's a matter of years. The problem is, we shouldn't accept them too much.
