DotA 2 would be a great game I'm sure. But I think that it is too much of a direct port of its predecessor. I guess the Valve team and Icefrog decided it would be safer to make a similar game and not change too much similar to how Starcraft 2 followed up on Starcraft. I started playing DotA since the Invoker patch and was unfortunate to not witness the full evolution of DotA from the very beginning but I have seen how the game have so drastically evolved since the first time I played. DotA was limited by its Warcraft 3 engine and I was wondering what do you think DotA 2 should introduce to the genre?
I mean no disrespect to other players if some of what I said offended others.

| Nice guide, I play LoL but that is the only moba I have ever played. It seems to me that Dota has a lot more depth once inside the game than LoL does, though there are masteries and runes outside for LoL. I really want to try out Dota 2 though, especially since the LoL client is the worst thing that has ever happened. |
