This is very sad. I feel like crying.
5 days ago Lim Sura tweeted that former MBC Special Force player, Yeo Ee Joo had suffered a brain hemorrhage and had been sent to hospital. Today, DES reports that he has passed away. The details are as follows...
After the MBC Special Force team disbanded following MBCplus' decision to pull out of the esports industry, Ee Joo continued to practice in the hope that the team would be picked up by another sponsor. At the SF draft, he was not picked to join the other 5 of his teammates in their new team (I'm sorry, I'm not clear about why this was so because DES did not explain this in their articles about the Woongjin SF team ) and so he decided to enlist in the military.

On 12th November, 4.25pm, recruit Ee Joo was transporting military supplies together with 6 others when he suddenly complained of a migraine and collapsed. He was sent to a university hospital in Uijeongbu, where he was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage due to a ruptured aneurysm. Ee Joo lay in hospital, relying on a respirator to breathe until he finally passed away on 17th November.
My condolences to Yeo Ee Joo's family and friends. May he rest in peace. 삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다.

People do not have slightest idea how much time these players devote themselves into gaming in order to earn money and make living for themselves. Quitting a progaming team is one thing, but when your future is uncertain, it's best for the players to enter military to get things done quick, and have a fresh start when they finish their term.
This is one unfortunate example who would have earned himself a spot in a team if he waited longer. Instead, he was unlucky. Entered military and his former team gets picked up by Woongjin. On top of that, this.
Are we really unlucky for small things that happen in life?
Rest in peace Ee Joo.
Ryo: Fix the OP, please. From what I've read on the dailyesports article Ee Joo retired because no team showed up to pick up the disbanded MBC team at the time, and when he heard that the players might get individually drafted, he retired because he thought that without his former teammates, it would be useless to continue his progamer life.
P.S. I was waiting for you to pick up the story firsthand, because if anyone, you're the most dedicated MBC fan I've known to date. I did not want to deliver this heartbreaking news. |

That's a really awful way to go... of course I don't mean any disrespect since there are undoubtedly more painful ways but god it just sucks he had to die like that and so young.
Man poor guy... |

| Never really followed SF but it's always sad to see any progamer die, especially like that. Comes to me as more of a shock than normal considering the major people in the community be they casters or players are usually around the age of 20-30. I never really contemplate the possibility of deaths of the people I like who are playing or working with esports and so this just feels really bad. So long. |
