So, I've been looking for a job for a couple of months now, and I've finally found one
I will be working at the support department of a swedish ISP. The fun thing about it is that as part of the recruitment process, the applicants had to complete different tests. The first phase was just reading comprehension and some pattern recognition, pretty easy stuff if you're a bit on the nerdy side. It was fun and I got through to the next phase. A huge smile started to spread across my face as I read the title of the test.
"Multitasking"
Giggling I started the practice examples and took a look at what I was supposed to do. There were three parts that had to be done at the same time:
1. Catch a ball in a cup by dragging the cup with the mouse. 2. Solve simple math problems. 3. Identify if a group of seven letters contained 2 of the same.
You had 5 minutes to do as many of theese as you could.
Being a master level zerg player I simply started rotating through them the same way as I rotate through injects, creep spread and looking at the minimap. Needless to say it went quite well
The next day I got a phonecall saying they wanted me to come in for an interview and later that day I signed the contract.

Of course I did send in information about previous jobs etc before getting to take the tests. Maybe I should mention that I had an almost identical job before, but had to quit due to studies.

We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery, we need humanity. More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost. -Charlie Chaplin
