So i'm not someone who often gets angry at a show because it portrays events that could never happen in real life. I understand that shows will stretch and distort reality in order to fit in with a story line and entertain the viewers. But the most recent episode of chuck went TOO FAR.
Note: this will contain spoilers so....stop reading if you haven't watched the episode from today.
There is lots of swearing and stuff, if this upsets you dont read this, i'm just mad
So the episode starts off with the usual bullshit, perfectly executed plan to get on a train, someone busting out of handcuffs whatever, dont give a shit, this stuff doesn't really bug me.
So the first thing that really pissed me off was this. The tim curry look alike villain is disarmed (with an umbrella) and knocked into a coffin which is then sealed shut.

WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THEY SEARCH HIM HERE? GET RID OF OTHER WEAPONS, PHONES, BOMBS?
so the obvious happens, tim curry lookalike phones up his generic baddies, somehow knowing the identity of Casey's daughter they kidnap her and hold her for random to get the dude let out of the coffin.

Meanwhile back at "castle" which aparantly basically every character on the show visits reguarly, super doctor ellie has somehow scanned morgans brain and realised that flashing was bad.
really? What the fuck is this shit about. she's taking a scan of his "brain activity" and somehow deducing information from them from months ago when his brain was affected by the intersect. If they could fucking do this, why didn't they fucking do it straight away. why did they wait 10 fucking episodes to do this seemingly useful procedure until sarahs life depended on it.

So anyways fake doctors kidnap someone from directly inside a fucking busy shop (with the gun visible from many angles) and nobody reacts EXCEPT for fucking lester and co. what the fuck. how could this even happen? pull a gun in a store and people will fucking panic not ignore it.

So the idiot bad guys who kidnapped casey's daughter also capture morgan and awesome who try to save them with no issues whatsoever. Then for some reason miss the dude who has no combat experience putting on full body armor and running up with a fucking gatling gun. YES A GATLING GUN.

Now the bad guy comes outside, sees the dude with this gatling gun (nobody in the store carpark seems to fucking notice btw) and instead of shooting with his sub machine gun (the bad guy has combat training) he fucking stands there while lester makes a speech, then gets flanked by a guy with a flame thrower (lol yes nobody notices) and instead of just shooting the dude who's gun has a spinup time and running away from the flamethrower he just gives up. what? This makes NO FUCKING SENSE. WHY WOULD HE NOT JUST SHOOT. HE"S A BAD GUY THATS HIS JOB FUCK./
So now back onto the train. The fucking internet "goes out". It's obvious that the tim curry lookalike badguy is behind this, but lets think back. TIM CURRY LOOKALIKE HAS NO IDEA THEY"RE USING THE FUCKING INTERNET. SO HIS MASTER PLAN IS, KNOCK OUT THE INTERNET AND HOPE THEY FUCKING NOTICE> HE HAS LITERALLY NO INKLING TO THE PLAN TO DOWNLOAD THE INTERSECT SUPPRESSION DEVICE ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

WAHT THE FUCK JUST SHOOT THE CUNT. predictably the bad guy grabs a human shield and runs away.

So now sarah, hearing SOMEONE run past, is suddenly like, WELL I BETTER CAPTURE THE BAD GUY WHO HAS NO LEVERAGE INSTEAD OF JUST SITTING WITH MY BLINDFOLD ON FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES TO SAVE MY BRAIN FROM EXPLODING.
Whatever, i'm ok with this. they're doing it to build tension or whatever.
So now the bad guy whips out his tranq gun he aparantly had all along but didn't use in the 30 different sitautions it would've actually been useful./

| Yeah i totally agree with Chuck, the past few seasons have been atrocious in this regard. I honestly don't know why i still watch it... Guess i have nothing better to do. I used to enjoy the character development but now they've kinda dropped the ball on that and now it is just ridiculous, stupid and predictable. |

| I was over Chuck after the first season. Too much shenanigans, not enough attention to continuity. Too "funny" for me. If they (the writers) took this show a little more seriously, it'd have potential. But there is too much focus on witty one liners and bad-assery. |

also did you notice that in the first and second or so season, chuck was special because like almost every person would just die when you implanted an intersect? Guess what, by now, everyone can apparently have one without any issues at all (minus programming errors). The physical incompatibility apparently vanished.
I've pretty muched stopped really watching this show.. i still watch it, but i mainly just have it running while eating something so my ears don't get bored kinda.. i'm not really following anymore because it's sadly just degraded so far |

I liked this post. While I don't watch the show I understand the sentiments here. I can suspend disbelief for anything that relates to a show or movie's premise. But when things happen that are just dumb or or couldn't happen that don't relate to the show's immediate concept, then I have a problem enjoying the show.
An example: Terra Nova going back to the land of dinosaurs to start a new colony? That's fine, the show is based upon that concept. But why can some random kids sneak in and out of the military-guarded gates undetected to come and go as they please while the enemy sixers can't come within 500 yards of the place before being spotted? |
