Decision Making

This is something huge I am learning recently and coming to grips with: decision making and risk. One of the greatest set backs to decision making is perfectionist attitudes and fear of "messing it up". This is especially apparent in my case where I am always trying to uphold a "perfect story" and get very angry when things do not go my way.

This is where I think the saying "Just do it" stems from.

For me, it has been dealing with letting go of the perfect story that I am trying to make. Every decision is a risk to it, because it could fuck up, but so far behind every decision has been joy, freedom, and a great benefit, plus release. In addition, much of the bad turnouts have been workable with or no big deals at all.

It is really just a process of gathering courage and going for it. For me, at least.

Edit:

This website really sums up what I am saying and does more. Wish I could apply all of it.

Fear and Indecision: Joy Killers

God, even looking at this image is frightening for me. I'm so afraid of decision making.

I've given up on perfection after sc2 showed me it doesn't exist.
Team Liquid needs more Terrans.

And do you believe if you had another life, and pushed yourself harder, you may be able to achieve that perfection you are talking about?

No because both Cell and Clue claimed to create a perfect form/world and they both died.

I believe though if I had another life I could be content about the effect my choices caused.

Choosing not to play the game of life is worse than playing it and failing. However not choosing to choose is even worse. Overcoming ladder anxiety taught me that.
