I casted a tournament

When I woke up today I had a goal in mind. I would try to do commentary on the Playhem Daily.
Then reason for this was that yesterday, I stumbled in to the world of casting as I on a whim
decided to ask inFSortOf to allow me to follow him through a tournament on my stream. This
tournament was in fact the Playhem Daily. After adding all the admins to my friendslist, I noticed
that the only one online at the moment was a handsome guy called dignitasNos.
I asked him if it would be possible for me to cast some games in the tournament and to my surprise, he not only said yes, but invited me to a game.
I ended up casting the same games as Playhem TV for a while during the downtime as inFSortOf was waiting for an opponent. I have to say that SortOf in an awesome guy

Anyway, after stumbling my way through a tournament I ended up having to quit at the semis because PlayhemTV wanted to be the only english casters in the game. This left me hungry for more though. After entertaining a few of my close friends, peaking at a measly 8 concurrent viewers, I was actually happy.
The following day I decided I had to do better.
I had to cast better and I had to make sure the stream was crisp and lag free. Two hours and 50 stream restarts later I had downloaded an overlay and had a nice looking stream with an adjustable delay to prevent cheating.

As the tournament was about to start i heard from an admin that there would be no playhemTV casting, and therefore no admins making games. I was on my own and my evening plans laid in the hands of the players. Both players in the game had to agree to me observing, for obvious reasons.

I started to ask around among the good zerg players if I could perhaps follow one of them through the tournament. To my delight, the swedish superhero and badass zerg Naugrim decided to let me
follow him. From there on it was a steady climb in every way. Quality of games, quality of my casting, number of viewers and frequency of smiles on my face. Sadly, I had to part with Naugrim
when he was eliminated in the RO 16. Thankfully for me, the terran who knocked him out was kind
enough to let me follow him instead

Everize is great guy and a great player, who led me all the way to the semis, where he was knocked out by Cytoplasm. A few minutes of nervousness followed as I was unsure if I would be
invited to the next games. Again, I was lucky, because Cytoplasm turned out to be just as awesome as the rest of the players I had been casting.

In the final Cytoplasm had to play against EmpireHappy. A worthy foe indeed. At this time it
became clear to me that I was the only english caster in the finals of an actual tournament.
A (for me) mindblowing 89 viewers was watching my stream. My previous record was 14^^
The finals delivered a great series. I honestly couldn't have asked for better games, or better
feedback from my viewers. Tomorrow I will make a return as a caster. I promise to be better in
every way and to keep improving my knowledge and speaking proficiency.

Once again, this wouldn't have been possible without the players who allowed me in to their games.
Much love for inFSortOf, Naugrim, aiCytoplasm, Everize and all their opponents. Thank you for
giving me a great birthday present

P.S. sorry if format is weird. I wrote it in notepad while on the way to a friends house.

That sounds purely awesome! Something changes when you are following a player through a tournament, directly obs'ing their games, as opposed to just watching whatever is on the stream. Casting those games is another level entirely! Good luck in the future.

Well done! I wish you luck in your casting adventures from here on out. I only wonder.... how do you casters have so much time O.o
I no longer expect the best in people. Sadly, I am beginning to expect much worse.
