Insignificant thing that gets to me, small niggily things eh?
Those threads aggrivate me beyond recognition, i try to ignore them, i dont go in them or flame anybody who does. But i see them there, haunting me
BUT OH MY F*** WHY WHY WHY DO PEOPLE NEED THESE THREADS
As soon as one pops up, theres 20+ more for every single team saying here is why X will win for Y pointless reason.
Gawddd discuss it in a GSTL thread or something, dont need seperate threads for all of this 
Ok, stupid rant over, i'll go back to the actually stressful things in life now

It's because people love to hate in general. Humans instinctively try to find things that they can feel superior to, and then hate them.
It is also much easier to hate something than to investigate it further and learn more about that something. |

Indeed.
There is literally nothing wrong with it, it just bothers me for unknown reasons.

I find 'em entertaining. Like, it's one of TL's little meme's and I guess sort of an inside joke (it started out as a joke didn't it?)
And it's always nice to have a really well done, dedicated thread to your favorite team. Shows fan devotion. Something every sport (including esports needs). |

It's a carryover from BW where those threads were great to build hype. SC2 doesn't have enough hype unless TSL is going on

same here. i hated them in broodwar. now since bw teams are playing sc2 its also in the sc2 forums.

I thought it was kinda clever the very first time someone posted one about a bw team. After it got copied, it has just seemed lame, like some weak family tradition that TL has to go through for each season of a league.

| These kinds of threads have been around forever in the BW section. It’s only natural that they started to pop up in the SC2 section as well. The purpose is to create hype for the upcoming Proleague season (or GSTL in this case) and they are usually quite well written. It is a good introduction of the teams for new viewers and it creates some friendly competition among the fans. I really don’t see how this can bother you. |
