As you start to play the ladder and you grind out more and more games, feel free to use the posted strategies in threads for ideas (there are a lot of them) and- if you get too stuck and frustrated- post replays of your games with why you need help and what you think you did right and wrong. Surely someone can help you from there 
If you're just starting out as Protoss, I would recommend focusing mostly on your macro. In other words, keep making probes and pylons, and keep your money low by outproducing your opponent from your warpgates and other unit-producing structures, and making lots of units. Chances are, you'll be able to outproduce your opponents by merely having more stuff than them. Try your best not to get supply blocked (finish your pylons ahead of time!). If your minerals and gas start to get too high, make more warpgates!
