I think these get funnier everytime, though this one was just slightly not as good as the last because it lacked the true hook that was, "because only white people win at slots." I lolled, so much. Yes, I've seen Idiocracy and I really enjoyed it. It really made me start to think about the fact that we protect weak and stupid people in this society. What long term effects will this have on us as a species?

The most annoying co-worker I've ever had was this girl at a warehouse job I quit last year. Another guy and I were in charge of refilling three assembly lines in the beef section of the warehouse. We spent 12 hours every night running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to keep all the containers full. The food we would carry ranged from 35-50 pounds. It wasn't the most glamourous, but I liked it. The most annoying thing about it, however, was this EXTREMELY annoying chick. She would always scream out the different foods that were running low. ROMAINE! CHICKEN! CHEESE! ;dfljkasdfjl;sdf barking and barking all night long. The guy and I worked out a pattern during break that would keep all the lines full so that the people in the lines wouldn't have to scream out at the top of their lungs the different foods that were running low. Of course she would scream anyways...I hate loud chicks.

I think that what could have made you think I was in Korea covering Starcraft is my relatively recent blog in which I talk about my trip to Korea to watch the Proleague finals and my desperate quest to take a picture with Bisu.

I think one of the reasons I'm drawn to your blog besides you doing a good job with it, is that it's a glimpse into the same subcultures I lived around as a child. The "stretch pants and retirement home tablecloth shirts" line made me shudder out of a sobering flashback to seeing that exact thing. I didn't have the same hardships you had, so my experiences with these groups was much more light-hearted, but your points and frustrations about the idea of stupidity and its followers strike such a loud chord with me. The sort of people who exaggerate their hickish accents because they honestly think it marks them as a "good ol' boy" rather than a "mental infant", and who actually think their own strength of character and worth in a community is increased if their children do well in 3rd grade t-ball leagues because they tell them to do shit like tackle the catcher and slide cleats-first into basemen. The sort of people who say "school just wasn't for me" and drop out to provide booze to middle school kids.
