Two of my friends asked each other, "Well we're kinda good at Starcraft, and we're pretty good at drinking, how can we merge these two things in such a way that we can be good at it?" They then proposed the idea to me, and eventually I agreed to host it at my house, and Perth Drunkcraft was born(at least I like to think it did there).

We figured it could work, In perth, western australia the SC community is pretty tight nit there, they guys run some bi annual tourneys and attend the bigger lans, and 15-20 of us know each other in person pretty well and most of the time we get along. since a lot of us knew eachother I figured having a whole bunch of SC buddies, rather than strangers, get obscenely drunk at my house would somewhat lessen the negative impacts that come with drinking.
Setup was that there were 5 computers, 4 for playing on one side of the house, and another PC for obsing on the 50 inch where everyone else would watch on the other end of the house. Catering was simple enough, had a wholesalers card so I got 2kg of gummy bears, a box of pop rocks and scored a bargain on 3kg of 3 month old easter eggs.

The rules were fairly simple, 2 players were selected by the audience, loser had to skull a full drink or take 2 shots for whoever had spirits. The audience could bet drinks on who would win, with odds to allow for skill gaps and to make shit more exciting. Everyone had to drink whenever someone built or lost an expansion, and drunk whenever someone got supply blocked. people also didn't have to drink if they already threw up, that was our safety rule.

In the end we all had good fun, we got people drunk, had some entertaining games, and as a gold Zerg I managed to beat a masters Terran who i've wanted to take a game off for nearly two years  we had some fairly skilled SEA players in attendance including IM.Yang, though next time we hopefully have a couple more.

Things that we need to account for were that it was kinda hard making sure everyone was drinking to the game, and be a bit more persistant and making sure everyone goes through with their losses. We also needed to have more spirits on hand, making players drink shots instead of beers while they're playing makes for a more clean experience. My only regret was that people didn't get even more wasted.
