My last one got closed http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=352485, maybe because it was a one-liner, either way I messaged Chill about it and never got a response so I will just re-post it and put more content into it.
I have $500 to spare, I want a one way ticket to anywhere in the United States, some where I've never been, some where that only really locals know about it and it's beauty is amazing. I have the money to get back, but I will spend as much time as I need to in order to get to absorb what I need to. This is a way of having my own adventure. I want to try something different and experience a different lifestyle just out of random. I live in Miami by the way, a place I want to get out of.
I tried to be simple about it in my last thread and see what people would say with out me having to give much information, but things happen. Either way, here is a list of places I've been to just so you know what kind of different lifestyle I want to see:
New York California South Carolina/North Carolina Virginia Maryland New Jersey Ohio Michigan Georgia Alabama Washington Oregon
If there is some where in those states that's pretty hidden from the public view or tourist mostly, then I would love to hear about it. I just really want to experience something new and something that will remain with me for ever. Last edit: 2012-07-13 14:24:06

I once went on a two week trip through Southern California with a small group of friend, finding old/abandoned cemetaries and exploring them at night. Even if you don't believe in Ghosts/spirits or what have you, it's still quite an adrenalin rush and you can really get a completely different perspective on many different aspects of life. |

I live in New Hampshire and I'm still not sure why people come here. I guess we have... mountains and stuff.

I have friends who swear by it. The little i know about it it seems to be based on honor system and getting votes and recommendations from staying and being a good host/visitor. Often times you can get reviews etc. Most of my friends end up finding pot connects while travel this way.
Urbanexploring is so much fun. Underground is great make sure you buddy up or more people. Ive had some weird encounters underground and have been lucky to always have a few people/lights/sticks with me.
There was a blog of a guy hitchhiking around and working here and there from Cali. Wish i could remember. I want to do that using balloons to get me by and having my own vehicle.
Edit:
GOOD LUCK man !!! make sure to take pic and document things as the happen when have a second so you dont forget anything!!Last edit: 2012-07-13 15:50:07 |

If you live in Miami, go west. Probably my only suggestion. Would you consider places you haven't listed like Colorado? Depending on what you want to do it can be quite beautiful and would def be a different change of pace from Miami.
Personally, I'd probably end up in Oregon or Washington if I were in your situation. |

| I would love a road trip, but I just prefer flying some where and just ending up there and staying there for quite some time and enjoy what life has to offer me at that very moment. |

| When did you go to Washington? This place is the Land of Milk and Honey in the summer... cool(er) weather, lots of mountainscape and other outdoor stuff you can do, and that's coming from a guy who doesn't even like being outside all that much. A single summit on a mountain in the Olympics converted me a few years back. It's so fucking beautiful and green here compared to a lot of the rest of the USA. I love it at this time of the year |

I went to Washington for WCG Grand Finals in 2007. Probably one of the most memorable times I have ever had |
