I have a feeling that she's trolling us, so she can get our attention. I have a feeling that I know what she's trolling about, but I would offend some people if I said. I just hope you're trying not to use the forums to hurt people over something small that's happened recently to you or some one that you know.
Anyways, from my experience, it's common sense when they're trolling you. You have to trust yourself over other people, otherwise you will always be trolled. There are lots of different levels of trolling, where on the small end, some one might laugh it off, but on the larger end, some one might go to prison.
An example of this would be the Nigerian lover scam, where Nigerians would get on sites like E-Harmony, and ask for money to get themselves out of debt, so that they could get other money, and then come back to you. You're supposed to believe that you'll be living the good life, and marry the man that was worth waiting 20 years for.
Some streamers do this all the time, for example, they'll say that they came up with a build to beat some sort of "flavor of the week" build, and take all the credit for this build. Another one would be when a caster thinks that he or she knows a secret from a pro, but really the pro is just talking trash about another gamer, so really the caster is the bait of the pro troll.
I know lots of guys read these blogs, so I'm going to go ahead a put up a common troll, that I believe is very wrong. Sometimes when a girl knows that a guy will be pretty successful and hard working; she would be more than happy to hook up with the guy, just so that she can meet up with the guy's colleagues. She may have never been to school in her life, but she will say things like she's an expert on cancer, or she's tried option/derivative trading, or that she finds quantum time decay very interesting.
Most often times, she will not end up with you, but she will end up with some one in your field, because she knows that you will probably find out about her being a troll, so she will go with the slightly dumber guy in your field, so that he will think that you're a genius, because you were with the smarter guy in your subject...er something like that. It's hard to explain, but I hope for the best out of all the SC fans. |
