One week after this Finals occurred, I finally found the time to write this. This has been one of the best meetups I have ever been to and I thank each and every one of you who came out to enjoy and celebrate the LAST BW OSL Finals. Now I am not very good at writing recaps so forgive me if this doesn't feel as epic as it did on that day.
This all started when I found out that the OSL Finals was going to be delayed a week. I was originally planning to host the event at my house, but I wanted someplace bigger where more people would be able to come and be together for this monumental moment. After getting wind that Cybercraft, the place where we usually held these kinds of meetups, was reopening, I went over there frequently to check if it was open and to arrange a meetup there if it was. When I saw that the place was open, I helped the new owner set the place up along with Certified and convinced him to leave the place to me for the night so that we could host the finals event there.
Fast forward to Friday, August 3rd. We had a wonderful dinner at a nearby restaurant, then came over to Cybercraft to play all night long!
If you're wondering where all the booze and food came from, they're from the H-mart next door, a Korean supermarket that's open 24/7, at least this particular one.
During the middle of all this, the AC went out in the place. We were hot and stuffy as heck. Despite all this, I again thank everyone for staying positive and taking it in stride. I also thank Wyrm, who came in the middle of the night, for fiddling with the thermostat and getting the AC started again.
When the games started, everyone here was so excited. Seeing Boxer and Yellow on stage just gave me the chills, and when they danced the Kong Dance, everyone was jumping up and down and dancing here as well. Then... + Show Spoiler [Finals Spoiler] +

After witnessing history in the wee hours of the morning, some of us went over to IHOPs for breakfast like bosses. Nothing like an omelette to celebrate what I just saw.
To those who went: I again thank you all for coming out and bearing with me, the overbearing organizer, and for giving me free food and booze from H-mart.

Special thanks to: 1. Flamewheel for the laptop, hosting mafia, and generally being awesome every time we met over this summer. I wish you luck when you study abroad for the upcoming term. 2. Blasterion for helping me out a lot during preparation. 3. Certified for getting hired at cybercraft and being patient with me in training me so that I could man the front desk during the night. 4. Micronesia for dropping me off at home :D

Blast is only "around" because he lives close by. I often call him out when I go to Flushing.

Micronesia, will you ever forgive Blasterion for his betrayal in RISK?
Finally ate my money's worth at IHOP, though I was still hungering for more.
Venture Capital is better off spent on lottery tickets rather than investing in E-Sports; you'll get a far better return. The difference is simple: Koreans are tryharding at the game, foreigners are tryharding in real-life.
