Hello reader. Now that I have kind of laid the foundation in the initial blog post, its time to get down to business, and that business is games. While these blog entries wont solely focus on gaming, video games will be an integral part of it.
My journey in gaming has been an odd one. At one point i was running a p4, with an 80gig hard drive(a Seagate regular hard drive, not a solid state for anyone who might be thinking i invested everything into that and had nothing left over ) with 512mb of ram(I think,it was either 512 or 256 mb I cant really recall), and i remember wanting and wishing to play higher end games that my friends would place.
I found solace in console gaming though. It's always been that form of games which i could play without a second thought about whether my hard ware could support the actual software. I didn't even need to think about patches or any real bugs at all.
But that was many a moon ago. My current( and even previous rig) could play many games. You would think that id be blazing through many a game as though they were like skittles. Defeating campaigns, bosses, etc. But that is not the case.
Since I upgraded my setup I haven't really lit the world on fire with games. I find my self more focused towards multiplayer games (dat starcraft 2) and i rarely ever give a thought about getting my teeth into games such as dead space or assassins creed, etc.
The thought dawned on me that maybe because I have been brought up on console gaming from a young age, playing through single player PC games just doesn't appeal to me. For a bit of info about my background, my first "console" was actually a hand held device, the first and arguably best handheld device ever made, the Nintendo Gameboy(I love and miss you Gameboy♥). The first actual console that I owned was the Sega Mega Drive, that was then followed by a Sony Playstation 1,2, Playstation portable and now Playstation 3( I've played on both the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, there cool but I never got a chance to own either console.)
Perhaps the reason is that I prefer a controller to a mouse and keyboard(I actually don't mind using a controller for FPS games due to time Splitter's 2, god that game was good XD), or perhaps it is my preference towards plat form games when it comes to single player story modes.
Whatever the case, all I know is this, I do like playing on the PC, and I will make a conscious effort to actually utilize all this PC power and play some of dem gaymez(athene is epic:D). So this ends my latest blog entry. In my next entry I'll talk more about the types of PC games I actually have played and finished and how game sequels should be treated as crops.
Till next time, stay awesome, and Eid Mubarak .

There are a bunch of games nowadays that will detect a connected PS3/360 controller and have mappings for them. Check some out and give it a shot.
And I agree...for some reason platformers feel so much better with a controller rather than a keyboard/mouse setup, but I have no idea why/ |

I know Skyrim is 360 compatible
Mostly I like playing Super Mario Bros 1 & Lost Levels with a PS3 controller. |
