Hello, my old friend.

So after all of this ^ i finally got promoted to platinum this afternoon on my 2nd game of the day. The reason for my blog name is because ive been here as terran 3x before, but all last year. Ive been learning protoss and my goal has been to reach platinum again.

The game was vs a random player (Queue i hate random on ladder threads lol) game started, i asked his race and he told me without lying (i didnt believe him till i scouted, but nice anyway mate!) after scouting and seeing no early pool i did something i'd never done before - Pylon blocked his natural. It worked out well- denying his 2nd for over a minute or so, he didnt think to take his third.

In full on 4 gate fashion, i hit has base at 5:50 with 3 stalkers and 4 zealots, nothing much to say here other then i did manage to stop his roach warren even getting up as i split off 5 stalkers to go into his main while i took down the nat, was pretty sweet xD

Moving on...

In my previous blog i was trying to decide which match up to start learning a build order with (other then 4 gate) and ive settled on terran, I decided on terran because i used to play them so i have a pretty good idea of the matchup and how terran works, so i feel it will be easier for me just starting off, this way i'll have more experience in adapting, metagame and overall gameplay (as toss) when i learn the other matchups im not so confident in (PvZ, wtf mindfuck.)

2 gate robo.

The build is stable, allows me to defend early pressure and doesnt put me really far behind as i get early tech and scouting on my opponent. I can safely expand behind this opening and tech into whatever i want.

Learning the matchup from the other side (protoss) will be fun and it will be interesting to see what i can take from my time as terran in 2011. Im looking to apply some sort of 2 base timing after my opener, maybe a 5 gate coli or blink build, i will look to see whats out there and what i feel i can handle.

Well, i'll update again when i feel ive gotten a hold on PvT and its style and blog my thoughts here.

New goal: Macro strat for each race, Diamond.

I like 1 gate expand PvT. Also get that armour, 0-3 charglots are just lol.
I play protoss, came up to low diamond from bronze and I have to say that PvZ is the most frustrating match-up for me.
I ended up just opening stargate most games because if you pylon block and they take third first you can put on a ton of pressure with voids, phoenix, zealot warpins etc.
