I was lying down on my bed, wasting my time, when i thought "fuck this!" and beat Megaman X without ever taking damage, nor dashing, nor using any special weapon. The second I watched Sigma's bastard head fall on the floor and gazed at his flying fortress exploding into the distance creating a false sunrise I should have been jumping around my room in joy but rather, I lied down on the floor and thought about what I just did
I wanted to do something. And then I saw it through. It is completed. It is done.
Is it?
I looked over the videos I collected from my run, and saw every little tiny mistake in each section. Every time I stopped for a second. Everytime I jumped twice to kill an enemy. The countless times I just couldn't mash the button fast enough. Every close call. The routes I could have taken that would've been faster. The times where I should have redone the stage because Armoured Armadillo just wouldn't stop using his stupid charge up move. I understood I was far from "done"
Another nameless night ago I thought about the other thing that swam around my mind often - Starcraft. If I showed you one of my replays I bet you we could find dozens upon dozens of mistakes. I didn't have 80 supply by eight minutes! I forgot drop tech! I didn't transfer my drones correctly! Even things I did right could be criticized. "You could have lost less if you fucking flanked instead of a-moving geeeez!"
I contemplated about all these mistakes for a good day or so.
When we really want to test ourselves and become the best we possibly can, will we? My play in both Megaman and Starcraft are terribly flawed, and it is a crushing reality. This is not "perfect". I am not satisfied with this. But not yet have I made any corrections. All I have done so far is brood about my many issues, complaining about every single detail, and cursing at the wall.
To grow as gamers, no, as people, we have to sit the fuck up, and fix our mistakes. Running away from the problem is childish, and we have to realize we cannot do that, or else we have learned nothing, and we will continue to bring about the same mistakes, and cause ourselves unending grief.
Now that I think about it, playing Megaman X was me running from Starcraft, and Starcraft from the issues I am currently facing. Well, no matter. I will just have to face each and every one of these demons, because I know I will not sleep at night if these flies continue to fly around me.
Alright, I'm done. I learned something I should have a long time ago. Babby's first realism lesson. That's all I wanted to say.

| God damn. Amazing MMX skills. 5/5 for that. I knew about the claw trick for the final boss (It's how I beat it the first time ever) but never went through the fight without taking damage. |

Haha sorry to all those who were dissapointed at the final boss. In all honesty those were the easiest parts. The hardest parts to accomplish were actually the Launch Octopus Stage, Kuwangers stage, Chill penguins stage (Im serious) and any climbing section in the sigma stages. After going through thsoe hells, Sigma himself was cake |
