I've always felt this. I'm still bitter about a black friend getting into Rutgers with very mediocre grades and decent economic standing, while I got waiting listed. Bastards. |

I agree that special candidacy for programs should be based not on the color of your skin, but on the
a) content of your character (most of the other qualifications)
b) evidence that you actually are in need of special candidacy (similar to what was suggested above) |
