Use your economy major, and a) finish it off or b) transfer into another business major, Accounting for one would still be very very useful as its something you could do internationally provided you completed the proper certifications and can do with the number crunching. I would suggest using your education you have now and continue in similar directions if you really enjoy it.
Next, as for being a nurse, ask yourself this, Are you willing to wipe out another persons ass? If yes, continue considering, if no, then dont continue this, nurses do some very nasty shit as part of their job, and can be treated fairly badly.
If your serious about web designing, go to it, and learn all you can and be more than the average person, and the like, lots of people in this industry and to get alot of clients you need to be good. |

As for nursing, not only do you have to take in to account wiping people's asses, but also shaving people's pubes, bathing old people with sponges, and always feeling inferior to doctors. But yeah I agree, you might as well use your education now that you almost have it, I'm sure that tuition bill is pretty huge.Last edit: 2008-09-23 15:41:59 |

Graduate first, then consider your other options. Yes, it's a sunk cost blah blah blah, but you're about to graduate anyway, so do it. A college degree is better than no degree with the same debt.
And if you're equating an econ degree with selecting stocks ... lol.Last edit: 2008-09-23 16:13:20 |

| u might as well finish your major since you're so close. u can then go to grad school if the job market is as bad as u put it. the economy will get better one day (and grad school is like 6 years) |

If you finish your degree, you have a solid backbone. To do both 2 and 3 if you would like. If the 3 fails you have 1. If the economy gets to were you would like to work in that industry you can. Not finishing your current degree is your only limiting option. So Don't Do It!Last edit: 2008-09-23 15:51:26 |

your college should have a pretty good career center.
1.go to career fairs, where a lot of companies send representatives and give you information and stuff 2.go to events that companies host and network and stuff 3.talk to professors. a lot of them are probably super well-connected, and can help you get into grad school if you choose to do that. 4.it also seems like you don't really know what happens in the financial services industry. did you do an internship over the summer?

| You seem to think like none can get a job in Finance these days. Finish your degree, if its fun for you that stick with Economy, and if you don't believe in US simply take a foreign language and go abroad for some time to work in markets that are not under such pressure... |

| I would suggest finishing your degree, but while doing so study for the LSATs and go to law school. That's where I am at (just go to a good school), and it isn't too bad + you get to make big money later on. Plus, that Berkeley degree will look really nice on a law school app. Like 1/2 the people at my school were from Berkeley and a good bunch were econ majors. |
