What's there to do around the Cambridge area

Harvard Square is always fun. I've never heard of L'Espalier, but if you like burgers, Bartley's is the way to go.

If you like cheap Mexican, Boca Grande up Mass Ave. is awesome. If you like Indian food, Kebab Factory is awesome. If you like Sushi, Bluefin is decent (Fugakyu in Boston is better IMO). I used to live in Cambridge, it's quite fun actually.

Never heard of L'Espalier.

Not much of a basketball fan

Though the Celtics are damnably good.

Boston sports aren't my thing. Too... bandwagony.

ah fuck, is it the harvard competition?
are you gonna be back for the MIT one?
My gf is president of the MIT ballroom dance club (not team) so she usually volunteers for the one that MIT hosts

mm cambridge. if you want some nice burgers, go to mr bartley's a little south of harvard sq. on mass ave. if you're still gonna be here on monday, go to fire and ice for all you can eat student night mongolian bbq. If you want to venture farther south, miracle of science on mass ave maybe 2 blocks north of MIT's campus has very good burgers as well

what kind of food are you looking for? I've been in the cambridge area for ~1.5 years or so, not there now, i'm in switzerland for 2 months, but let me know if u need any info

what do you compete in? latin or standard? what level?

hmm where else
dunno what your schedule will be like, prolly competing most of the day on sat and sun? there's some decent dim sum places, but ur from cali so u might not want to bother

on boylston street, there's another burger place called pourhouse, half price burgers after 6 pm until 10 pm on saturday evenings

sunset cantina is close to BU, pretty good place for bar type food

haha nice
lemme know if you fly out again next year, i should be in town (if you remember ><

i only dance w/ the club rather than the team, so i can do beginner stuff for most of the latin except pasadoble, and some of the standard dances. i missed the foxtrot viennese waltz and quickstep lessons cause they're all this semester

the one i'm best at is international waltz lol but it's my gf's favorite so what can ya do

Go to Anna's Taqueria. Porter Square Galleria (On the Red line, Porter Square station) in Cambridge. Or if you are feeling adventerous, there is one in Somerville which is also on the Red line - Davis station. I find that one better.

I was going to say we could go drinking but you're so young!!!!! And I doubt you could get Celtics tickets anyways for cheap! We're not bandwagon, we're hardcore LR =[

@KOF Viennese is the only cool dance you missed anyway. And Paso.

I probably will go next year unless my partner abandons me or something. What are you in CH for?

((((( but DK I hear you beat yellow people when you're drunk

Only women. Are you a woman? Then you have nothing to worry about! If you want to go out for some food one night, I should be around for a swell guy like you!

hahahaha dknight

phd at MIT, i'll be in the area for 3.5 more years or so

ehhh if you're gonna go to anna's, just go to qdoba, anna's is good for a quick lunch but i don't think it's ALL that great

if you like thai, there's a couple of good places, pepper sky on pearl street off of mass ave maybe 2 blocks south of central sq is good too, though again asian cuisine might not be what u want

cambridge brewing company (in cambridge obv, close to kendall sq) also has decent burgers, but the menu has a lot more variety than some of the other burger places, also has decent microbrews if some of your teammates want to down a couple

speaking of drunk and hungry, if you ever get drunk and hungry and are by central square, go to Hi-fi pizza and get a chicken parm sandwich, you won't regret it

Gotta agree Anna's is not that good. Boca Grande is much, much better. Used to be even better probably 2-3 years ago but it's still way better than Anna's, and infinitely better than Felipe's, which is horrible.
