yeah about that, i found a better solution (because sometimes i lose links n stuff.. for the uhh presents that i'm buying). i made a custom profile that launches with a custom shortcut in target line. then all i have to do is hide the shortcut. 
here's the target line of my shortcut (the profile is called Incognito because i was copying chrome)
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P Incognito -no-remote"
i forget what the -'s do, but i think the -P is for profile manager, the Incognito is for the name, and the -no-remote i have no idea. but i think it has a good reason to be there
so that shortcut launches firefox with the custom profile, and so it emulates incognito mode on chrome (except if you want to, you can actually *keep* all your history .. for those presents that you're buying of course) because if you load up FF normally, there's no trace of anything wrt the other profile

oh dear, i thought i was addicted to teamliquid with my 11,000 (not sure in how long, but at most 3 months)
then using deconduo's idea i checked my other sites
my visits to digg are pretty embarassing, it's quite a bit more than TL u_u
