I really do think TL should have a technical forum for any questions people might have, but since there isn't I'm just gonna blog it.
After upgrading to Windows 7, I find myself unable to play fullscreen Starcraft on my laptop, which kinda annoys me for some reason. Anyone else have the same issue? SC just loads for me in a box in the middle with huge black borders all around and it's kinda annoying not to be able to play fullscreen.
Any help would be appreciated.

| check the settings on your graphics adapter it's probably just a scaling issue. |

| I'm running on an ATI Mobility Radeon, and it just won't let me config my scaling options. It's greyed out and kinda pissing me off. Any other solutions? |

Thanks a lot. I just went into Starcraft's registry and messed around with the video resolution values and it worked. |

I guess I have a similar question. Does anyone know how to overcome the hardware scaling of LG panels, so that aspect ratio is preserved in non-16:10 resolutions?
using win7, 8800gts, and lg l226wtq |

Pretty much this if you can't troubleshoot on your own then you are pretty much out of league with the os.
You can troubleshoot any common problem if you know some computer basics and are aware of the existence of google.
Windows 7 is more stable than vista will ever be. |

if you want to be on the cutting edge sometimes you bleed, that's the way it works. i would strongly discourage anyone from using a pre-released OS even if everyone says it's stable because you can very easily lose all your shit. for example, when windows 7 beta came out everyone fapped about how great it was and people started using it as their main system which is easily one of the worst things you can do. sometimes there are fixes and if you are unlucky sometimes there arent. |
