| It will be able to handle most things. You could probably run oblivion on it without much lag and you could run TF2/HL2 with a little lag on it, it should be able to take like 10 tabs easily. |

| You could probably drop an extra hundred bucks for a video card and you would be able to play a lot of stuff on that comp. |

| I'd splurge that extra $20 for 2x2 ddr2 if it's going to be onboard video. That or the $40 for a low profile video card. Or both Last edit: 2009-07-11 04:36:31 |

mainly because i want to keep it quiet and not spend too much on it. there are a lot of cheap passive cooling cards for like $50 but if the on board graphics can handle vista then might as well save $50, if not we could always purchase a card later. |

if you want to later upgrade your graphics card, you're gonna need to get a new mobo along with it cus its integrated graphics. So later on down the road, its not going to cost just $50 for a new vid card. |

So true. It wasn't that long ago that hard drives were under 100 gigs (my earliest computers were under 1 gig lol), processors were under a gigabit (iirc I had a 760 celeron not all that long ago), and memory was God knows how tiny. Large monitors were also 75 pounds, there was no reasonable analogue to usb, mouses/mice sucked, keyboards sucked, portable media sucked.
Now it's so convenient but young people take it for granted. |

This is not how onboard graphics works. |

lol
I'd say, go with a cheap set of 2x2GB DDR2-800 ram rather than 2x1 and go with a 64-bit system. No reason not to nowadays. Especially since most sets hover a little over $40. Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227267
Otherwise it all looks good.
Edit: Might want to switch to a different case with free shipping, as it will cost you at least 20 bucks no matter what size you choose, throwing off your budget a bit. Last edit: 2009-07-11 06:13:08 |

| This isn't intel integrated graphics. It's AMD integrated graphics. The onboard graphics is equivalent to a ATI 3200 chip. You could play games on this. It also handles HD video very well. |
