$4000 Gigabyte ESC - Qualifier #1
The Gigabyte Electronic Sports Winter Slam is a series of tournaments spanning multiple games held over an entire week. Starcraft 2 will be one of the major titles at the event with a total prize pool of over $4,000+ AUD in cash and products. The Gigabyte Slam will be run in partnership with Team Immunity and SC2SEA. SC2SEA will facilitate in the running of the online qualifiers for the event.
The top 3 players of each of the three qualifiers as well as the 5 players with the overall highest points will receive an automatic invitation to the LAN finals @ Melbourne on the 8th of July for the 16 man finals which will run over a single day. The online qualifiers will determine the top 14 players, with two slots for the finals allocated to wild cards from a university tournament. This event will also feature some of Team Immunity's newly recruited shoutcasting team.

KSL Grand League Playoffs: Prime vs Zenex
The KSL is back and better than ever! After our initial amazing success with the 2012 Opening Ceremonies, we’ve decided to completely revamp the KSL format! Starting Saturday, February 11th, we’ll be entering a Round-Robin League Format, featuring the 8 teams in the KSL: Prime, Incredible Miracle, FXOpen, Most Valuable Player, ZeNEX, NewStar HoSeo, Fnatic, and StarTale.
The League will run on Saturdays and Sundays, at the regular KSL time. (23:00 KST) [Dates subject to change depending on GSL schedule. Over the next few weekends, these top Korean teams will battle it out for an increased prize pool, showing possibilities and matchups that this GSTL season might not be able to provide!
For every win a team earns, they will win a prize of $200. After the round robin matches complete, the Top 4 teams will be eligible for the playoffs. The 4th place team will face off against the 3rd place team. The winner of the 3rd/4th place match will move on to face the 2nd place team, and like before, the winner of that will advance to the finals to play the 1st place ranked team. The winning team in the finals will earn themselves $5000, with the second place team taking home $2000. As such, not only does every match count for prize money, but also for league standing, where first overall in the league guarantees your team $2000. Like before, all matches will be Best of 11, giving teams a chance to show off not only their top players, but also their hidden talent that isn’t seen in the GSL.

Following up the qualifying stage, grueling group stage, the defining round of 32, past the epic round of 16, and directly following the round of 8 Altitude's $2,500 Interational StarLeague has come to the time where players turn from household names to the real pilots of a foreign force, the semifinals. During this stage, the four best players outside of Korea battle for $2,000, though the real question is: How much per? Who will really be able to call themselves champion? With famous names like Sean "Day 9" Plott, QXC, Spades and more being veterans of this league the CSL has grown from the weekend competive fun between two schools, to a year long battle royale. The Collegiate Starleague now features over 320 colleges across the US and Canada, who fought it out to get to the playoffs. Now four spots, one for each region are up for grabs, each earning a spot at the live grand finals being held at the University of Central Florida.

WCS Canada CyberActiv Second Chance Qualifier
Next Sunday at 1 PM EDT will mark the final tournament of the initiative. This tournament will pit Canada’s 6 closest-to-qualify players. These players were so close to winning their qualifying spots but sadly didn’t manage to do it. These 6 players will fight against each other in 2 phases :
Pool play : All 6 will fight each other in Best of 3 series. The top 4 will qualify for phase 2.
Spots : According to their ranking in phase 1, the top 4 will remain and will fight for the 2 last spots. #1 will fight #4 and #2 will fight against #3. These 2 series will be Best of 5s. The winner of those series will each earn themselves a spot into the Canadian finals!
To make this a completely cross-country experience, i’m trying to reach out to all the community casters through the country to give all of them a chance to be heard! The objective is to unify the scene and give a huge family feeling.

ALT StarCraft is proud to announce its new monthly showcase series, The Gauntlet!
The premise is simple: Team ALT challenges a pro to a best of 5 showmatch. The catch? The pro only has himself vs 5 members of Team ALT. Our wonderful team of up and comers have proven they can compete at a high level with a near win over Quantic in a NASL Qualifer back in January. The question is now how will our team stack up versus the very talented and unique playstlye of Root Gaming's leader and founder, Catz?
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 6 at 7pm EST (-04:00 GMT). If the featured pro player is able to take the series he or she will be awarded the ample sum of $100 as well as an invite to the bi-monthly AGL Tournament. However, if Team ALT can bust out a win, the prize will be split amongst the 5 competing players and the invite will still be awarded to our featured pro player as a consolation.

Ever since Stephano was seen maxing zerg at 11:11, I've been inundated with requests of how he does it! Today we'll see exactly how to do it AND how to stop it :D.
At the Red Bull Battlegrounds tournament, Stephano cruised over a number of top Protosses with a straightforward, simple and optimized opening that gives him a remarkable amount of opening units. Though his winrate is incredibly high in the opening, we do see some issues with stepping into the late game from our amazing fast max army.

GamersLegacy Championship Summer Finals 2012
Announced in February 2012 the GamersLegacy Championship is an Italian Championship which will be divided into Winter and Summer, it comprises three series: Series A,B and C each with a different league players. For the Series A finals, from the Quarter Finals and forward, will be held offline in Milan in the inFerno eSports head office. There is a point and time in every scene when entire figures' positions in the community are altered forever, where titans are defined and prominent men become weeping boys, falling forever into the depths of a literal and hypothetical second place. Today we will see a point in foreign BroodWar's post apocalyptic world where we'll find if Chuck Norris really does exist and plays under the alias Sziky, or if Steven Seagal really could have gone to Texas and taken Chuck Norris down. Where Wolverine and Sabertooth finally have their final duel, and one of them will never recover. Fable's and myths are up for auction and ready to be dispelled on this day. That is, for your viewing enjoyment, after 17 long hard fought weeks of numerous Napoleonic battles, the deciding tribunal of the war, the Altitude's ISL Grand Finale.
On this day, the day of men, blood, and guts, Sayle and EleGant will seal with first hand observations and fancy diction the final chapter's conclusion of the third and fourth place match worth a total of $500 between the mysterious beast in Bibiane and the elusive spartan Semih. As the only matched ISL invite slayers, these Jamie Lannister and Brienne's will fight to the death far before the war unfolds. That is, as the casting guru Sayle then having exhausted his co-caster and fellow author of horrific scenes of blood and lust, EleGant, will be forced to call on his fellow notorious reporter noted as Jim McKay, Hacklebeast, will join him to present a battle only whispered about by men never heard of after such events, Sziky versus dOTY. These iconic heroes hold but one question to answer, that will change the tide of war completely. Can Sziky retain his ISL championship, or has dOTY chizzled from the mountains of southwestern Germany the necessary kryptonite as he did to defeat second place winner of ISL1 and ISL2, and the only other invite to die so far, Ace unscathed of injury in his 3-0 sweep? Many have speculated, generals have planned with tact and strategized, but no one truly knows who will bring home the $1,000 first place prize, and whom will be cut directly in half, taking second for $500. I encourage all to clear their calenders, call in sick with the worst fake cough ever heard, and tune in to see what men have paid the iron price for, all for your enjoyment.

The Gigabyte Electronic Sports Winter Slam is a series of tournaments spanning multiple games held over an entire week. Starcraft 2 will be one of the major titles at the event with a total prize pool of over $4,000+ AUD in cash and products. The Gigabyte Slam will be run in partnership with Team Immunity and SC2SEA. SC2SEA will facilitate in the running of the online qualifiers for the event.

StarCraft II and League of Legends pros battle live at Cal Poly Pomona for their share of a $21,000 prize pool in the Gigabyte eSports LAN. Taking place the weekend of June 15th-17th the competition will draw hundreds of fans to the live event and tens of thousands of additional spectators on the live HD Broadcast.
In this invitation-only event, 24 Starcraft II players and 8 League of Legends teams will battle throughout the weekend culminating Sunday to crown the Starcraft II champion and top League of Legends team.
The GIGABYTE eSports LAN will feature an array of groundbreaking improvements to enhance the spectating experience both in person and online. Among the enhancements will be live, onstage group drawings for Starcraft II and a live picking and banning room for League of Legends. Deutschlandpokal #2 - Germany Cup #2 - Qualifier 2
After the huge success of the first Germany Cup (Deutschlandpokal) in April, inStarcraft decided to run a second one: Germany Cup #2
The main event consits of 32 players who will play in eight groups with four players each. The first and sencond of each group advance to the playoffs. The 32 players consist of 8 direct invited players, another 16 players have been taken from a signup for master and grand master players. The remaining 8 players are taken from two qualification tournaments. The lineup includes well-known players like Socke, GoOdy and DarKFoRcE, but also new talents like roof, who von the first Germany Cup.
This is the second qualifier, open to every German citizen playing StarCraft II. The top 4 players of the tournament will advance to the group stage of the main event. Aditionally, the winner of the qualification tournament will recieve a copy of the StarCraft II novel "Teufelskerle" (German version).

+ Show Spoiler +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/xOy9c.jpg) Yellow- First in Group Orange- Seeded by qualifiers Green- From Code X Teal- Drop down based on group position Code S will specifically follow the MLG system. 16 qualified players will be seeded into round robin groups, with two additional ones seeded from Code X. This round robin will determine your placement in the championship bracket, which will be a Bo3 single elimination series. There will be no extended series, with the exception of the finals. which will be a bo5 with a bo9 extended series. In other words, the set is a bo5, which turns into a bo9 with the score of the bo5 in the case that the lower bracket player wins the first bo5. Example: SaroVati (upper bracket) plays MKENGYN (Lower bracket). MKENGYN wins the first set 3-1. The set becomes a bo9 (first to 5) with the score of 3-1 already established. I feel this is fair to the upper bracket winner b/c of the reduced necessity to win games, but fair to the lower bracket player b/c it rewards him for a good first showing. The other change is as follows: In order to reduce wait time, the winner of each group will be seeded into a round robin group, where the first place will be seeded into the grand final, second place seeded into the lower bracket final, and third/fourth seeded to the lower bracket semi-final.
Code X:
+ Show Spoiler +All players from Plat-Masters not already seeded into Code S will be seeded into GSL style groups (aka Duel Tournament Groups), where the top two will either advance to a secondary GSL group, or directly into Code S (depending on turnout). The bottom two players from the first and second (if necessary) groups will be seeded into the first round of the Championship Bracket, where they will play until eliminated. Championship Bracket is a single elimination bracket.

While the competitive aspect has been retained, the system as a whole has been overhauled in order to accommodate casual players along with people looking to compete. First of all, instead of there being a single tournament, there will be Four Methods of competition in Code A, colour coordinated, of course! YellowFor those who want a 'true' tournament experience, Yellow will feature either a Round Robin tournament, or a Double Elimination Tournament (based on turnout). Round Robin Groups will be divided into groups based on ladder ranking (silver w/ silver, bronze w/ bronze). Winners of the Groups willbe seeded into a small 3 man Group to determine the ultimate champion! Group Sizes will be determined by how many people are in that league (ie, there are 3 groups, no matter what). All matches are going to be bo3, and the ladder pool will be used (with the adition of Metropolis), with both players able to veto 3 maps (leaving 4 maps--> 11maps-1starting-3player1-3player2=4. However, in the interest of speed, players will submit their vetoes at the start of the tournament, and these will be active for the duration of the matches. The loser of the most previous game will choose the next map. OrangeThis will be a series of games between two people, each of whom will have a "Funday Monday"-esque restriction placed on them. These will be randomly drawn from a hat (and will be race specific), with 5Zerg, 5Protoss, 5Terran, and 10General, for a total of 15 possible restrictions per race. Admins will check that the restrictions do not auto-lose the game for one player. Otherwise the players are free to keep their restrictions secret. Platinum players that are eliminated early are welcome here, but will be more likely given stricter restrictions vs lower league players to balance out the game. If Diamond players want to play, expect BRUTAL restrictions (eg, no units as zerg, only t3, etc), or to have 2 restrictions. GreenAny two players who want to participate in a 2v2 can sign up either as a "Looking for Team", or as a pre-made Team. Teams will be ranked based on your ladder 2v2 ranking, with pre-mades having a slightly higher edge. Teams will be arranged both on player availability and player ranking. Platinum/Diamond 1v1 players are free to join, but will be matched so the skill disparity is not obvious across teams. Pre-mades consisting of one or two dia/plat 1v1 players are free to sign up, but will only be matched up against players under the consent of the other team. I am toying with the idea of using non-awful 2v2 maps that are made by the community. I have linked several posts of maps I consider well made for 2v2. Everyone is welcome, and we will be using whatever everyone agrees is the best mod/maps. Please suggest them bellow. But how does this figure into competition!?It will work on a points system- people who win games in each colour will get a set amount of points, and this will accumulate, so that people who choose to play one particular style will still have a chance to get a prize. More points shall be allocated to the 1v1 tournament, and less to the monobattles, but everyone will have a chance at prizes, no matter what you choose to participate in. What Can I Play in? Anything! When you come in, you will register with the admins, noting specifically what you want to play in, and the order of willingness to play in other game types. For instance, if Johny Bronze registers, he will say he wants to play in Yellow most, orange second, teal third, and does not want to participate in green. Timmy Silver might register and say he wants to play in orange, green, teal, in declining order, but not in yellow. Players will then get tags showing what they are participating in, so that if they are not playing games, they can gather with people who want to play similar game types.

There will be a more regimented and organized casting set-up this time around. Casting will cover primarily Code S, but games from other categories will slip in here or there. Along with optimized casting, there will be a barcraft set-up for people wishing to spectate. There will be one localized TV, and several smaller ones, hosting games from the tournament.
If you wish to come only for the Barcraft Segment, then it will cost $5 for the night and include a concession item. This means that you will be paying OKG only a few dollars for a night of Barcrafty fun! If you participate in the tournament, you will not be charged if you choose to stay and watch.
Alongside the concession, there will be a selection of restaurants that will be taking delivery orders (such as Oodle Noodle).
For Players:
Those of you participating in Code S should always come ask an Admin about wait times for games, and, unless there is a copious amount of wait time, should not participate in any Monobattles/other activities.
Those of you in Code X/eliminated early are free to join whatever games you wish after you have finished your tournament run. Stay as long as you wish!
Those of you in Code A. Because of the nature of your tournament, alongside the more regimented nature of Code S/X, there may be some wait-time between games. Hopefully this will not exceed 30 minutes, and if it does, please tell an admin, who will prioritize your games. However, with the simultaneous Barcraft, there should be few issues of Boredom! You will be guaranteed a whole day of games!

The Summit: Arena takes place from 29th of June to 1st of July in the Volkswagen Halle in Braunschweig, Germany. The Summit: Arena is a pure offline event where all participants have to bring their own PCs. The minimum age for participating is 18 years.

GoSc 1st Year Anniversary Celebration!
This is a three day event to celebrate the Girls of Starcraft 1st Year Anniversary.
June 29th:
This is the first day of the event. On this day we will be having a Community Tournament is open to anyone in the community (With access to the NA Server). We will accept up to 512 players into this tournament. 1st-3rd + 2 additional players will receive prizes. This tournament will start/be streamed at 5 pm EST.
June 30th:
This is the second day of the event. On this day we will be having a Girl's Only Tournament. Once again this tournament is open to ladies only who have access to the NA server. At this moment we are accepting up to 32 ladies for this tournament. However if there is a lot of sign ups for this tournament, we change the amount allowed in. At the absolute max, we will only accept up to 512 players. 1st-3rd + 2 additional players will receive prizes. This tournament will start/be streamed at 12 pm EST.
July 1st:
This is the final day of the GoSc 1st Year Anniversary Event. On this day we will be holding a show match. The show match will be the winner of the Community Tournament vs the winner of the Girls Only Tournament. This show match will start/be streamed at 8 pm EST. ALT StarCraft Bimonthly: AGL-June
ALT Starcraft's AGL-June Invitational in which players who have won invite codes through various weekly qualifying tournaments and specially invited players will compete for a $500 prize pool. The event will occur live on two separate days. It will begin on Friday June 29, where all games will be played up until the round of 4. On Saturday June 30, the losers bracket semi-finals, winners and losers bracket finals, and grand final match will be played.
Unlike previous AGL Invitationals, ALT StarCraft opted to move to a bi-monthly tournament featuring 64 players. 24 players will qualify through the open tournaments, the top 8 players from the previous AGL will be invited back, and the remaining 32 invites will be given away through showmatches, contests, and personal invites.

The Summit Arena
The Summit: Arena – One of Germanys largest LANpartys
The Summit: Arena takes place from 29th of June to 1st of July in the Volkswagen Halle in Braunschweig, Germany. The Summit: Arena is a pure offline event where all participants have to bring their own PCs. The minimum age for participating is 18 years.
Tickets are available on www.the-summit.de at a price of 45.90 Euros each. Visitors without a PC get in for 6 Euros.
StarCraft II
The Summit: Arena features a StarCraft II tournament with non-cash prizes worth approximately 750 Euros. Additionally, the winner receives a direct qualification for the 15,000 Euros cash prize tournament at NorthCon in December:
