It's cool with me as long as he keeps it up. No half-assing ;D. This is a 3 month commitment!
I was actually planning on doing this today but oh wells. I just got back from a 4 day church retreat. Hopefully I wasn't missed too much.
But GI doing this allows me more time to follow Proleague a little more closely for the beginning of 2007. But once Season 3 is over I'll be ready for the Shinhan Invitational. ;D

Dunno if they changed the rules, but as already posted in todays live-thread last seasons rules were:
3way tie for 1st to 3rd --> regames 3way tie for 2nd to 4th --> regames 2way tie for 1st and 2nd --> no regame, winner of the group stage game gets first 2way tie for 3rd and 4th --> regame, no matter the result of the group stage

what IS the shinhan invitational? They'll invite awesome people like boxer and yellow and not have random qualified people?
It's not called Shinhan Invitational just yet. It's more like a "masters" tournament of some sort where they invite the top players from Shinhan 1-3. Kind of like an all-star tournament. I'm sure you can count on CaSy, ChOJJa, NaDa, Anytime, and other top finishers to be invited.
lol. 3 terrans and 3 zergs in each group of the wild card playoff ... all mirror match up --> boring ? anyways, how did they make up the groups, i mean, players are picked into the group randomly or what ?
I just saw the GOLIATHS OF THE CONFEDERACY! Hahahaha stupiiiiiddd I didn't make mine up. They came from So1. I really liked it so that's what I put. If you want to make up names go ahead. Hahahahahaha.

=O
I thought you were just coming up with weird names that made no sense :O :O
Oov and GoRush are both voters as well. Though they are both 2-1 along with the second place players, (Much w/Oov and IriS w/GoRush) Oov beat Much in their group matches and GoRush beat IriS, so they advance as 1st Place, which gives them the votes.
Incase you thought it was only ppl with 3-0 wins, I the vote is for anyone who's #1 in their group. In Oov's interview last week they asked who he wanted to pick, which means he's probably getting a vote (he replied that he hadn't thought of anyone except NaDa, and will probably choose a safe pick)

Really? Wasn't it only 3-0's that voted last season?

ahaha I'm surprised you didnt know where those phrases came from
oh man when are the wildcards? I'm dying without HonestTea's week previews (((
Sweet mother of jesus Savior vs Midas all over again.
Midas needs to close the deal once again. He has to be the one to totally shut out Savior from the OSL!
I'm glad NaDa and July have both made it through their Wildcards too. This sweet 16 is looking REALLY nice! Especially with a few new, rising players added into the mix.

thanks in advance
I didn't put nobody in no team, I just copy pasted from various sources. Is he supposed to be Hanbit?
I got this from FiFo. It's probably easier to use MS Paint with the bracket I got from Honest Tea first season though.
man, that is one ugly-ass bracket <3
which is the bracket you got from HT first season? the SJM?
i took honesttea's original blank bracket and filled it in with the names of the bracket jkillashark is showing when it was posted on fifo. don't know why it was nicknamed the SJM bracket though
On January 12 2007 14:26 GrandInquisitor wrote: thanks
updated accordingly
Fuck, there are mistakes. All "Casy" should be "Hwasin" in the translated stuff (seems like you thought it was iOi[alive], which actually is Casy's other nickname). I'm gonna fix all this right now. edit: fixed, everything should be right now.
You just have to swap Hwasin vs Zergman maps with Casy vs July ones for your schedule to be correct.

Yeah it is pretty ugly, but its more or less an official bracket from OGN. HonestTea showed a bracket for the 16 player single elimination stage in Shinhan 1. I just used MSPaint to fill in the blanks. When Shinhan 1 ended, I got a little lazy and said okay I'm done with this thread. SJM said no way and told me to finish the bracket. It made me happy that someone was following my thread so closely so I felt he should be honored by naming the bracket after him.
o.O at HwaSIn losing two TvZs against ZergMaN. Either HwaSIn was just a hyped scrub playing out of his league or ZergMaN is really evolving into a top tier Zerg.
GoodFrienD finally realizes he needs to work on his TvT.
Nice bracket but you spelled the name wrong of the best player in the world and hopefully the new OSL champ -.-
Also along with these corrections:

You might consider changing JulyZerg to just July because he has dropped the zerg from his name for quite awhile; just look at his name on VODs to see so. And you might want to have iloveoov in all lowercase since that is how he offically writes it.

If savior gets knocked out of the OSL by Zergman ... T_T

zergman has a history of knocking out very competent zergs from the osl, first gorush in shinhan 2006 1 and then july in shinhan 2006 2 in Ro16
i was wondering if the moderators could put the matches that took place on Jan 24 on RAPIDSHARE? i know it sounds selfish but i wasnt able to torrent it while it was still hot? really sorry
i've searched through all of youtube and found all the vids pertaining to this OSL and put them in my original post next to the games. another viewing option for those that don't want to torrent, and a more permanent host for the archives =)
if anyone finds anything I missed PLEASE let me know
added more youtube videos and cleaned up some stuff
there is absolutely no excuse to not be able to watch these games. they can be watched live through SC2.org; they are on the tracker; there are direct wmv downloads from both random korean sites and SC2.org; they're even on YouTube
I just noticed the new phrases - when did they change from Pride of War/Overcome All/Victory after Victory into these new ones? I liked the old ones better. They were more manly.

added a new feature to results & standings - the final standings thing
see streaks and stuff as i compiled all the wins and losses for the whole tourney. savior has highest winning percentage right now; nada's played the most and has most wins along with iris

5. ZergMaN (Z, Samsung) LWW | WW WLL | WW (7-3)
oh, my bad. didn't notice
but funny, isn't it, that he's the one with the highest winning percentage so far =P
i also hope i'm not being too arrogant when i say without any sense of cockiness that this might well be the most exhaustively documented OSL on TL.net yet

when will the final bracket jpg be finished because i have a complete collection of all the vods for this years OSL and i wanted to have the final bracket image as my cd cover?

Well, it's not really documented. It's more of a page of links than documentation.

Are the top 6 really seeded? I think I saw somewhere else and also here that possibly only the top 3 get seeds, like it was before. I guess nobody's heard of anything since regarding seeds for next OSL? I hate to conjure this topic back up, but it'd be nice to get correct closure on this issue.
You may have done a great job so far, but you still can't get complacent yet!
Yeah but I have heard no rumblings this time. I dont even think we have a dual league schedule yet do we? I think everyone is holding their breath about hte proleague right now.
