Seriously guys, everyone's assuming that Flash will get to the finals but let's not forget the past. For every Savior, there is a Chojja. For every Bisu, a Stork. For every Jaedong, a fantasy.
Kwanro is the new king of silver. And to get his silver, he will get to the finals, no matter what the cost.

Ignoring ZvZ, which isn't a real matchup, Kwanro's best matchup is ZvT. Ok, he did get knocked out of the OSL by Stork of all people, but that was Kwanro's birthday and no one can be expected to do well on their birthday. But he's in the freakin semis of the MSL right now.
And yes, he did cheese, gay, and abuse zerglings furiously to get there. But he's Kwanro, and that's the only way he knows, and we shouldn't judge him for that.
If Kwanro takes this MSL, I will 100% believe he's the next GGPlay.
P.S. he's better than both Stork and Bisu according to Kespa. So maybe he's the next dragon, AND the first Zerg Dragon!
PPS. Here is what will happen in Flash vs Kwanro

Ok come on now, kwanro is not the next GGPlay. His playstyle doesn't resemble GGplay in any way possible. But Kwanro is awesome, and I hopes he creates an upset by somehow winning the series.
I have to admit the title of this thread made me smile because it made no sense XD I wanted Kwanro to do well when he was on CJ (but not beat Iris.......gr........), but now I don't love him as much. Kwanrolling is still fun as long as my favourite players/team don't get KWANROLLEDDDDDDDD.
Why did I laugh at the thread title? The first thought was obviously "Wait, shouldn't it be 'Time for him to Kwanroll"?, but then I just started laughing for no reason.

Kwanro is actually pretty good, which not many people will admit I guess. He is one of my favorite Zergs to watch because of how well he uses zerglings. Kinda hard to fluke your way into the MSL Semis twice in a row.
I will support him despite how low his chances of beating Flash are

o.0
And Kwanro is not the next GGplay, and there's no way he'll beat Flash. Even if he tries ling-run-by's every game, Flash has to good defence for that to work out.

he has a special place in a girl's heart
That's a really strange post... first of all I don't get the "for savior, there's a chojja" - chojja won a title by beating savior in the finals - so that's different to getting silver "for every Jaedong, there's a fantasy" - again you cant compare that to your thought that kwanro will beat flash to get to the finals, because fantasy never knocked jaedong out of an individual league.
And lol @ "zvz isnt a real matchup"
If Kwanro takes this MSL, I will 100% believe he's the next GGPlay.
That's probably the most illogical sentence in the OP, did you see any of ggplays games? Do you see how vastly different his playstyle is compared to Kwanro?
Also what on earth to you even mean by "next Zerg dragon", Protoss domination had already been replaced by Zerg domination a whole while ago

HoGiL, Hwasin, Bogus, Light. I'd say its pretty easy to fluke your way in twice in a row if your schedule happens to be this easy. Last season had bigger names, but he got really lucky. beat Stork BO1 when he still sucked ass at PvZ, beat some no-name Terran, caught ZerO in the middle of his 10 game ZvZ loss streak, caught Flash in the middle of his i dont need turrets vs muta phase, then beat Iris, which is not really much of an accomplishment. Granted hes still probably a top-5ish zerg, but i think his relative lack of late-game play makes people dislike him. Also, the reason you like him is probably why alot of people dont like him, seeing a game end with zergling all-ins or runby's gets really boring really fast.
Cant really compare him to GGplay because GGplay is cool! but kwanro lacks lategame. so its hard to say if he's really that great. he's like a better version of shine.

THIS IS WHY I HATE SHINE TOO
I was going to make that analogy, but i didnt want to insult Kwanro, who i consider to on an entirely different level and much better.

Hatred for Shine > Kwanro Respect for Shine < Kwanro

For some reason, I like Kwanro more than Shine.. maybe because he can play a better late game and has been around longer. Also, tournaments need to have some cheeses or else everybody macroing 24/7 gets really boring really fast. I also don't want to see players in tournaments who can't defend against all-ins anyway, so cheesers help to solve that problem.
Hahaha that picture is hilarious. I wonder what the Korean commentators had to say about it.
Kwanro's lategame and management isn't that bad. In fact he's pretty decent since he's trained in Savior's (and Effort's) way of defiler/lurker into ultra/ling. He often uses his early aggression to set him up with more expansions and finds himself in a comfortable mid to late game situation. His macro has definitely improved a lot since he debuted in CJ.

I think it was Club Day MSL selection ceremony they showed behind-the-scenes footage of him joking around with some other progamer who happened to call him that
If you want to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me, you have to win at least 3 silver.
This is why I am going all-out today, and I believe I am the winner in the end, because I have won so many silvers in both OSL and MSL. If you want to be so bold, then at least get the same number of silvers as me before making such bold declarations.

In general, respect for a Zerg who plays hyperaggressive and 'abusive' against Terran fast expands will be higher than respect for a Zerg who plays hyperaggressive and 'abusive' against Protoss fast expands, because of Z<T and Z>P on most modern maps. (Kwanro also has greater achievements/history of results.)

Yeah, Iris dubbed Kwanro "Pikachu" when he said "GO PIKACHU!" in the behind-the-scenes footage.

Kwanro sucks. All he does is all ins. Stork already has him figured and its about time others do too.
Wow this might be the most let down and misinformed thread ever, he will never be the next ggplay and on top of that we should judge him for just massing lings every game... If anything why shouldn't we judge him for that?
It was Kwanro vs Flash and he went 2 hatch mutas and got fucking raped. I made the sign vs a Protoss too, I can't remember, but he ending up finishing with Zerglings so I was happy.

Kwanro does not always do all-ins. He's completely different from shine, who has no late game management whatsoever. Kwanro can actually play a decent management game, but he just generally chooses not to.
Unfortunately he's still gonna get absolutely crushed by flash.

Thx, now I know why I missed this sign.
Its either 1. Didn't watch it live or 2. I don't watch zerg losing vods :D

OK. Thx.
Second question, does the Korean community also call Kwanro "Pikachu"?
Or is it just us?
It would be pretty funny if I use NATE to search for Pikachu and get a picture of Kwanro's face.
