Despite being in the middle of God knows where, Seoul a lot of people have turned out to support KT Rolster and MBC Game Hero at this year's Winner's League Finals. I hope you enjoy my coverage and please leave a comment if you can to spur me on
Great work!! Awesome face-to-face photo's of Flash You sure know how to deliver!
13 comments? Wow....guys, this is pretty lame. -_- It's 1:30am and I *just* finished editing this yet the interview has far more comments already :/ Should I even bother next time? Begging for comments like this is depressing.
Give it some time... I think most people went to bed after the finals finished.

Besides, what is the purpose of those small TVs shown in the first pictures???
They are usually for those on the front row (corporate sponsors and kespa peeps plus us journos.) to be able to see the action without having to crane our necks upwards to look at the main screen. It's also useful for us because it makes it easier to tell when GG will occur and who will win - aka. whose side we need to be on to take winner's reaction shots.

Not a sign of him. I was looking out, but he didn't turn up. There was no opening act at all (televised or otherwise.) which is good because it went on FOREVER. It was great and I enjoyed what little I saw of the matches between working, but I didn't get home until 1am (We went for dinner with the MBC Hero team afterwards.)
Ridiculously long finals. 5 hours for 7 matches... I was struggling to keep my eyes open by the end :<
Of course Jaehoon vs Flash got me all excited so
<3 all the effort you put into these! I'm just wondering... I know a lot of photographer friends of mine work under the principle of "shoot and pray" and end up with about a thousand photos that they end up having to go through. Is that the case with you too?
You've outdone yourself again Neggie, I had to watch the VODs for this, but you really captured the feel of the event well, MBC look crushed to be so close but so far, and of course Flash looks like ever happy champion that he always seem to be these days.
I love the massive edit section, the close ups of Flash and the trophy look spectacular.
I'm just sad I didn't get to be on vent at the time, oh well, next round finals.

I usually work to this plan;
+ Alternating between shoot, charge, (I need to buy a spare battery since I'm paranoid about lack of power.) upload to laptop, edit, post until the event is over. + For a finals I like to do three to four sections of shooting: Pre-event, (Opening act.) During event and post. (Plus any trophy/winner mini shoots and massive edits.) + Since most pre-events can be shot with multiple chances there's no need to take a large amount of photos. Just two shots per photo op incase of blurriness or other negative factors. + Because shots with people you can't control (aka. in a photo shoot session.) are usually 'one chance' specials far more photos are taken during the event than before it. + The most photos are taken during the post-session because the trophy kiss shot etc are the most important shots for capturing the mood. These are also 'one chance.' photos usually.
I hope that makes sense. For a finals I tend to take about 1000-1500 shots which are usually whittled down to about 40-50 photos plus ngs I deem interesting enough for editing via PS7 and then posting.
haha absolutely amazing pictures Always wanted to actually attend a Proleague Finals, but NeverGG's amazing high quality pics are gonna be as close as im gonna get for a couple of years.
After reading your post gotta say there's a lot of work behind taking pictures that I never knew. My respect for you doubled Thanks for the photos again!

Thank you For me the basic schedule (for a finals) is;
+ Wake up at 7am and prepare cameras - check they're fully charged and pack my bags. + Get myself ready physically (clothes etc.) + Take a taxi to the venue (at least 3-4 hours in advance) with laptop bag plus camera bags. + Set up all equipment in the and get my press pass. + Go outside to take a pre-event video. + Upload the video and while it's uploading to YT go and take pre-event photos. + Edit pre-event photos using PS7 and charge camera again. (Paranoid lol.) + Upload edited pre-event photos/video and make OP for event. + Alternate during the event between taking photos/editing and uploading whilst keeping an eye on the games for who is going to gg (needs winner's shots.) + Once the winner(s) are decided go out and take winner's photos/do photoshoot if it is a solo winner or there is a player of interest (aka. Flash last night.) All up on the stage. + Edit winners photos and post final OP to TL. + Go out for press dinner after packing up. + Taxi it home. + Edit any remaining photos and post. + Go to bed.
