Couldn't you have just added that to the already existing "[Interview] WCG 2010 Grand Finals Day 1 Winners" thread? (it was also already posted in the LR thread).
This reminds me of the Azerbaijani guy from the last WCG who used the race switch trick to switch from Z to P at the last second. Jaedong panicked rushed killed him with 6 lings.
I played his KurOa guy on uswest, I had no idea it was the same guy. Since I rolled him quite easily, I feel really bad for JD to have to fly to LA for this crap I guess he gets to see some new country for a change.
Actually I saw the game from like 10 feet away, kuroa build 1 cannon in a really bad place and tried to FE, Jaedong saw it, send 6 lings and killed the cannon then ran them up the ramp into kuro's main and started killing probes, by the time kuro got rid of the last ling, Jaedong had mutas in his base, GG
Edit: Jaedong also had scourges parked next to the guy's stargate and 3 bases up with 5 hatch iirc
Well Japan sent its best players to participate in WCG SC:BW.
That's the best they could do, why are you guys bashing them ? It is 1000 times better than the countries that don't bother to send their players. If those Japanese guys are not sent, do you think that another country will send players to replace them ? OR WCG BW just loses 2 players for no reason ?

well of course. 35 years of forced occupation doesnt just go away no matter how long its been. also the japanese government have been known to try and subvert history by altering what they teach in schools (text books) on past transgressions involving korea and china. of course they wont dare do that with the events of WW2 since western powers will decry them for it. however their arrogance goes unchecked when it comes to their orient neighbours.

But the Chinese and some surrounding countries like North Korea or some southeast Asian countries also subvert history in text books (and they did it MUCH MUCH MORE than the Japanese, especially communist nations like China or North Korea). When you have that kind of neighbors you probably don't want your people to be too naive so that when something happens (war, dispute...) they still have the will to fight.

I thought it had more to do with shame than arrogance.
Oh lol, I just watched Jaedong v Zim match. So very bad. No wonder he said it's like playing the computer. Actually the computer might give him more challenge than that game.

Oh man, totally. They (the evil communist countries) did that thing, which we were talking about, such as, a lot more, than, such as, the other peaceful friendly countries who have not been imperialist at all. Especially more than Japan who totally did not side with nazis at all, and totally had not been waging murderous imperialist wars before which either so yeah. Good thing we sort this history business out man, shit!

Like the first few weeks of a reality TV show (read: American Idol), the beginning rounds are comic relief and entertainment for the real stuff to begin.
But I can't believe Jaedong said that. LOL so mean.

Yeah. At least I think the AI maintains constant probe production at the beginning of the game. That alone would put it ahead of Zim. So Jaedong wasn't exaggerating in any way.

Japan likes to outright deny most of the war crimes its commited. So ima go with arrogance rather than shame =/
It probably has nothing to do with the fact that his opponent was Japanese, and everything to do with how easy he perceived it to be. Don't know whether it actually happened with ZIM (ie if Jaedong called him a computer) but something retarded seems to happen every WCG with Korean pros vs. amateurs from other countries anyways so it's not like Kuroa is special. At least they're not trying to purposefully lose this time so Koreans can get 1-2-3, given that they're going to take 1-2-3 without such tactics anyways.
The level of play represented by non-Korean SC players is simply not that high this WCG, at least from the games I've seen, and for this reason there's probably going to be more lulz games in the future.
I wish he would have jokingly said that Flash played like a computer after he mismicroed the SCVs during game 3 of the WCG qualifiers. That might have spawned some epic back and forth between the two. Too bad (for the American in me) Korean progamers are so incredibly modest and polite in general.

They were not mere zerglings, they were Donglings.

It happens in pro games as well. When protoss gets greedy to try to take an early econ advantage against zerg, even if their timing is slightly off they can lose.

Calling Zim a computer is actually a compliment to him , so Jaedong is in no way BM . Well F91 should get some praise . Chinese always put a decent fight against koreans in WCG .

I've seen it happen on 4player maps like FS, but on desti with probe scout (2player map) I don't think it'd ever happen in a progame.
it sorta makes us foreigners look like a joke when that happens two years in a row
anyway F91 did a good job, was impressed by him he should've taken his drones off gas after he saw JD was gonna spore, expo'd, made some drones and got double gas up asap
also JD had only one spore in main i think.. f91 couldve sniped his gas drones, just had to make sure he doesnt die to ling counter
lol... You spend countless hours becoming a top player. You win tournament, you are sent by your country as its representant because of how good you are. People know your name, you have fans and anti-fans.
And then you play against a guy who tell journalists that he doesn't see the difference between you and a cpu.
Being a top foreigner is a sad thing if you think about it.

i dont know whether to laugh or cry haha. It's one thing to understand the foreign players aren't as good but when you really think about the time some of those kids put in only to get completely destroyed, it has to sting.

well, for every hour of their lives these kids have spent with bw, jd has spent 100 hours. so its not really surprising...

I doubt any of the guys who lost to Jaedong/Flash/Kal play anywhere close to the same as them in BW, so it's fair in a way.

Yeah, that's really all this is about. It's like if you were the MVP of your High School basketball team, would Michael Jordan be able to tell much of a difference between you and someone who never played before if you challenged him to a 1 on 1? Not really

Working hard to reach a big tournament only to get smashed by someone like Jaedong. Man, I don't know whether I would be in a fetal position crying in a corner or be honored I got to play against Jaedong.

Foreigners don't really go into BW WCG expecting to take the gold. These are more like show matches to see how well they fare against each other and then against the korean players. I think it would be an honor to play someone like JD or Flash, even though you will get wrecked. The players enjoy it enough to want to come back following years and the fans enjoy it (its also their only real time of seeing the korean players in a local atmosphere). I don't think anybody is shocked or hurt that the koreans make it to the finals, thats pretty much a given in BW.
I am curious to see what people said about Day9 when he got raped by XellOs. (I doubt TL would be happy if Jaedong called Day9 a computer) As Day9 said, he did not care that he lost since he lost the his hero, XellOs. If I got eliminated in the WCG by a Korean, I would be the happiest man in the world.
In pretty much all the WCG BW games between Koreans and foreigners I've seen, the foreigners look pretty flustered after getting stomped by Koreans. They must see it coming, but probably expect to fare better than they do, which usually is being made to look like a D+ level noob.
Anyone know where I can watch Jaedong rape kurOa? WCG youtube account sucks donkey balls, they haven't learned how to split different games into different groups, upload all of the SC matches, and upload them in chronological sequence.
Yea really, maybe kurOa had cans too late and died to 6 lings because of that, but he's no where near as bad as Jaedong, the guy is a B-/B player and I'd love to see the computer that is this good. Maybe Jaedong was trying to be funny, but it's just a little over the top - Zim_ thing was fun cause the guy actually was D- but ... its gettin' lame Jaedong!
When you lose to the first 6 lings, JD, or anyone, has every right to compare you to a computer. Seriously he won with the first 6 lings... I bet he like 14hatched too.

dude what the fuck are you talking about, that is complete bullshit. if anybody is arrogant its the fucking brits in UK, flaunting their history on abusing pretty much every culture in the entire world when they colonized everything and raped and pillaged cultures. You keep hiding behind the americans k?
its a fucking comment, its very old generation who harbor some grudges but the new generation that this is applicable to realizes that every nation is the world committed atrocities, and now people are just people. Japan doesn't talk about them openly but they teach them so that it's not repeated..what about the west? You think its public knowledge america did not persecute the neurumberg worst villains in exchange for their knowledge attained when they tortured people for science?
Maybe they do maybe they don't, but its just get an example. get off your fucking high horse before you westerners get slapped off it by countries who are smarter per capita, higher literacy, better shape, and have more developed ideals. seriously if you don't think what you are saying, you make yourself look like an idiot, and to anyone who agrees with him, as well.
I'm looking for the Korean commentary version of this JD vs Zim game which was really funny but it has been removed from Youtube and there's only PsyonicReaver's version.
oh so this was the guy(or seems like two guys now lol) that Jaedong said played like a computer XD I would also like a link to the Korean one if possible. Should be interesting to see their reactions
I wouldn't go nearly as far as saying Jaedong's opponent was a computer, but the match was very one-sided in favor of Jaedong. The Protoss player basically got so distraught and distracted over the 6 ling late rush that he just built defensive cannons instead of... much of anything. Jaedong just double expanded, went lair and 8 mutas, while Protoss built a handful of cannons and 1 or 2 corsairs, getting taken out immediately. The end
didnt fantasy also lose to 6lings from jaedong poor fantasy i some what remember that fantasy was doing a fac opening and the fac was part of he wall and the vulture popped out on the wrong side instant surrounded by lings and it was basically gg from there

Two games: One was 4pool and JD won with like 8-10 lings in a last ditch effort to bust the bunker Then it was 9pool speedlings and Fantasy got screwed by bad spawn positions, although JD had 66% chance for Fantasy to spawn like that.

ya, I remember watching that too. I think he went for his famous GG timing and floated his cc or something after losing most SCVs lol
