Many of these posters that denied Effort switching to SC2 also denied the Nada rumours, the Boxer rumours, and the JulyZerg rumours. If these deniers had used their common sense, they would realize that a top 3 BW Pro (yes, I rank Effort as top 3 after Flash and Jaedong) that is making at least $100K a year (maybe Effort was making even $200K or more?), doesn't leave that comfortable salary and job for nothing. Effort didn't want to milk his salary and winnings in BW to the end and sacrificed it to get a head start in SC2. Kudos to him and I hope he does well in GSL3.

You are pretty silly. He retired because he wanted to do other things with his life other than pro-gaming, yet if that rumor is true and he is even practicing sc2 at any significant level, it was obviously a flakey cop out excuse to retire and then turn around to get into sc2.

Um they denied it because he said specifically he wasn't pursuing a career in SC2. My thoughts on the European company trying to sponsor someone is that it'd probably a shortsighted move... a few years down the line or less when the popularity of pro SC2 inevitably dwindles outside of Korea, what reason would the company have for continued sponsorship.

I am guessing that effort wish for a change in environment was the reason for the switch. I doubt it was because he liked sc2 more than bw or that he wanted to get a headstart.( i am assuming here). If these rumours were to be true and if there is anything to be learnt from the inevitable death of bw, it will be that the authority(whoever it will be, Kespa or Gretch) will reward these athletes who pour in 12+ hours of training better living condition and salary. And i mean across the board and not just the Flashes and Jaedongs. It will be a waste the whole spartan regime just end up transferring from sc2 to bw. BW has a lot of good things for SC2 to copy from but this is not one of them I feel.

Yup. Agree with this ^^^ They deny switching to SC2 one day, and the next day, they either join a SC2 team or form a SC2 team, rofl.

I'm already extremely upset from this statement.

13. Almost all teams have no players other than their A team, and basically have no new players. Isn't this like the same thing as the death of BW? I mean the Kespa System doesn't work without the B team.

They have to pay the rent and the food like everyone each month, just imagine if you boss told you that perhaps next month you'll be fired, but perhaps not, how can anyone find motivation in this ? The companies faling to negociate are responsible for their own doom.

it seems that even if kespa won the court case, irreparable damage has been done. What will happen to all these B-teamers and partners that Kespa will deem traitors.

i would really like to know what company that is. but i think it has to be some mainstream company like VW or Adidas which would be huge for esports.
