Hite Entus's star zerg player was Effort, but he retired right before the 10-11 season. The player who will carry on his role is Hydra. He stated "I will try my best to fill-in Effort's gap" after making it onto MSL for the third time in a row.
Q You've made it to MSL for the third time in a row A I'm happy that I made it. I never thought about not making it into round 36. I'm happy that I made it, but since I'm slumping in proleague, I don't think I will be as happy as before.
Q Since your best record is round of 16, what's your goal this season? A Everyone's goal who moves onto round of 32 is to win the tournament. My initial goal is to make it onto quarterfinals so that I can get seeded, and then I will have new goals.
Q Your group seemed tough. How did you prepare for your matches today? A I didn't practice the final map (Triathlon). I prepared the first match, thinking that I will definitely win. Recently, my mirror match up has been bad so I practiced a lot on the winner's bracket map with the mirror match up in my mind.
Q Your zergling run-by in winner's bracket was good. A There was no gas in his natural, and he didn't have that many probes in his main either. Since I scouted and understood what my opponent was doing, I won easily.
Q You're the zerg star of Hite now. Don't you feel stressed due to the fact that you hae to fill-in Effort's spot? A Every zerg on our team is practicing very hard so that we don't hear the words 'Hite's zerg line-up sucks without Effort.' Pretty soon, I think we will have a good record in matches. The only way to prove ourselves is to win more matches. . Q You were aggressive in both matches A For the first match, Ssak's SCV died early and he made the command center in his natural openly. I thought that if I attacked, I would win no matter what. Second game was improvisation and it just worked out well.
Q Last words? A My teammates fill up the most spots in MST right now. I want them to prepare well and perform well so that they won't regret anything.
SK Telecom T1's Ssak beat Jangbi and made his MSL debut. Ssak didn't perform well despite many support from his teammates, so he thanked a lot of people. Ssak, whose goal is to make it into round of 16, said "I want Canata to make it also so that we can show SK Terran's power"
Q Your reaction for making a debut in MSL? A I was perplexed when I lost the first match without doing anything. I only prepared zerg matches so I thought it would be hard for me to make it into MSL. I think I made it into MSL because I was lucky today.
Q Did you prepare up to final match? A I only practice terran vs zerg since I thought that I was going to face a zerg player, even in the final match.
Q You were warned for not wearing your headset. A I accidentally forgot to wear the headset when they abruptly started the match while I was warming my hands up. I didn't know what was going on, even when the referee entered PPP, until someone else told me what was going on.
Q You were very close to losing on the last two matches. A I didn't think too much when I played Hoejja. Since I was relaxed by the time I played Jangbi, I felt okay.
Q What's your first MSL Goal? A Since I'm new, I want to make it past round of 16. I'll think about the later stages after I pass round of 16.
Q Any last words? A I need to thank many people. iloveoov game me many builds as well as advice. Many of my zerg teammates helped me out also. I also thank my parents and fans for cheering for me today. One of my friend's birthday is today, so I want to wish him happy birthday. Canata is playing in group two today, and I want him to make it into MSL so that we can show everyone SK Terran's power.
Congratulations to both players, and good luck in PDPop MSL!
Hydra has two snaggleteeth for which it seems he is wearing braces. And sometimes when you wear braces and you don't brush hard enough, it becomes a bit unsightly. But once his teeth straighten out, he should have a nice smile.
i spend a lot of time in asia - in korea their dental care is much more than in say, china, but still dentist/orthodontist treatment isn't as regular as it is in US, so people who chain smoke every day have real nasty teeth (same like in US)
ON TOPIC: good to see some new blood in MSL! I hope ssak does well

Typical Asian teeth.
Never seen an Asian all your life?
Are u kidding me, Asian teeth do not look like that. I think hydra may have been wearing fake teeth or something. Because if his teeth were like that since childhood, his parents probably would have payed for him to get braces

Actually no. I did some looking around, and in almost every photo he takes (PL interviews, etc) he usually has his mouth closed, whether smiling or not.
Here's another pic of him with his mouth open (dated from July):
To be fair, I think the camera setting makes everything whiter, which makes his teeth stand out by contrast more than they normally would. It's typical for photoshoots like these, since a white bias makes blemishes disappear (people on community sites are notorious for doing crap like this). On the flipside, they also make anything "not quite white" stand out terribly.

Wasn't even that bad to me, PC police rollin' around the Teamliquid block.
Anyway, Hydra isn't exactly the hero I would want to step forward. I didn't even find EffOrt good enough to replace sAviOr; maybe I'll never be satisfied with anyone else but him wearing the CJ (Hite lol) jacket.
@Nayumi - I actually like Ssak. Never been a Jangbi fan :[. I don't even know why I like Ssak, but it is good to see him advance. Maybe I just want to see an B-Teamer rise to the top to keep Broodwar alive.

Maybe you like Ssak because you are a T1 fan? As I am a KHAN's fan, it truly breaks my heart to see JangBi going down at a MSL. BUT if Bisu can recover from his slump, I still believe that JangBi can pull it through too.
Ironically, dental care in Korea fucking trashes anything in the west. You can get incredibly fast, efficient, and quality service for a fraction of the price.

I have had a bit of a soft spot for all the new players. I was a CJ fan until sAviOr\EffOrt left, mOvie never provided, and they merged with Hite :[. Now I am stuck with SKT1 because I like Bisu's harassment. ACE would be my second pick ^______^
I feel as if the rookies failed then Broodwar would die a slow and painful death as every final became Jaedong vs Flash and the Old Guard slowly moved to SC2 or retirement.
Hydra's mouth would've made a nice add-on to a vampire costume on Halloween I'm really surprised Jangbi and/or Hoejja didn't make it out. I was rooting for both of them

i was very offended by his comment and needless generalisation. my gf nor do any mainland asian girls i know have facefull of makes ups and have no money to spend on dental care.
SuperArc is ignorant, but it's true that teeth aspect is less important in Asia than in western countries. It's retarded/racist to generalize that all Asians have terrible teeth though.
Btw, I don't know why you all focus on Hydra's teeth, I find Flash's worse...
On topic, I'm glad T1 has a new promising terran, but I feel so sad for Jangbi, he's like on a 10 games losing streak on Proleague

EffOrt said: Hydra has a snaggletooth. Whenever he has a favor to ask, he shows his snaggletooth and smiles with his eyes to make it impossible to refuse him! It's so provoking!
