- Thoughts on completing Round 1 with a perfect 10-0 record? ▲ It's an emotional moment. This is the first time I've ever achieved such a record, and I want to thank everyone for mentioning it. In the past, I've had a poor relationship with records, but I'm really happy to make a new one here.
- You've fallen short of other records, was there more pressure this time? ▲I don't let those stick to me, so there's no pressure. That said, 10 straight really isn't the biggest thing either, I'm just glad to be winning.
- Talk about the game ▲ I had an advantage early game with Zealot pressure, and once I killed off his natural that was the game. The key was a good response. (Doh! Thanks to renzy for the correction!)
- Out of these 10 wins, was there any particularly memorable one? ▲ The recent match against Calm was definitely a memorable one. I almost lost to Great, but given that I've lost to Calm before, that was a big moment.
- With 10 straight victories, can we say that Bisu is back? ▲ Um... it certainly was sad. I hope to say goodbye forever to the fail-Bisu [T/N this is pretty rough of a translation, I just went for intent. Literally, when Bisu (Kim Taek Yong) was slumping, people changed his name to "Kim Yong Taek" or something like that, and when he was destroying everyone his nickname was Kim Taek Shin, which is Bisu's name but with "God" added to the end of it. So he's saying goodbye to "Kim Yong Taek" and hopefully returning to "Kim Taek Shin"]
- Goals for Round 2? ▲ I'm not going to worry about a perfect record. Even if my streak ends, it's really all about the team. Although we swept Round 1, I won't let down my guard because of it, and will work even harder.
- Anything you want to say? ▲ My teammates diligently helped me in Round 1, and I'm really grateful. I also want to thank the support staff and coaches. Most importantly, I want to thank the fans - to repay all of you, I'll do even better in Round 2.
Fantasy:Bisu's hogging all the spotlight, and I can't have that
- Thoughts on closing out Round 1 with a perfect record? ▲ We swept the first round, but I don't have much on that. I definitely have to take it up a notch.
- You finished with a 6-3 record. ▲ I did poorly early on in the season, but after going 1-3 I won all the matches after that. My goal was to revert back to my strongest form, and to a certain extent I achieved that. I'll take on Round 2 with a stronger spirit and put up strong results.
-Talk about your match with Hiya ▲ Early on I saw he had 2 factories but no machine shops, so I assumed he'd do a vulture drop, and I decided to play a bit passively initially. Eventually I was able to catch up, and felt that I had a chance. Because we were in opposite corners, there wasn't too much pressure. I know that I lost many SCVs defending, but thinking about it, I discovered that my opponent must have practiced primarily for early game, and I focused on late game, and it worked out in the end.
- Bisu put up a 10-0 record - do you feel threatened? ▲ I did really well last season, and that raised my expectations for this season. The commentators nowadays keep predicting Bisu for Ace Match now, and that irks me a bit.
- Goals for Round 2? ▲ Even if I lose in Round 2 I can't go on a losing streak - just keep my eyes on victory.
- There must be less pressure since your teammate are doing well ▲ My teammates are all excellent players, and we are often in advantageous positions (score-wise), and even when we fall behind everyone has faith. Thus, we can enter each match with a relaxed attitude, and that's the key to our success. The sense that, "if you don't work hard you'll fall behind" also has quite an effect too.
- Other remarks? ▲ College entrance exams are coming up, I hope everyone does their best.
soO&sun
- You swept Round 1 ▲ sun= When (during the offseason) we heard that the format was changing to Bo7, we knew that our team would put up good results, but we didn't expect to do this well. I hope we can sweep in Round 2 too. ▲ soO= I'm glad not to have lost a single match, and having the opportunity to close out the series was great.
- You earned many wins for the team ▲ sun= During practice, we found that all of the starters were strong players - even if it weren't me playing, anyone we send has a good chance. ▲ soO= I'm glad to have become a dependable player. I've had good luck in matches, and that's why I've been able to play well. I didn't expect to be able to go 6-2 - definitely surprising. Maybe after Kwanro came I felt my position threatened a bit, and worked harder because of it?
- You made a comeback victory today ▲ sun= My opponent prepared excellently, and when the first wave of Dragoons came I thought I'd lose. My opponent played well, and I wasn't able to harass much - somehow we became even economically. I felt that as long as I could win one big clash that would be it - I used DTs to knock out a fair amount of troops, and that was one key to victory.
- Your steadiness is impressive - you confident for Round 2? ▲ sun= I'm just showing the skills that I actually have in practice, haha. I won 3 games in Round 1, and if I can do so again in Round 2 I'll be satisfied.
- Goals for Round 2? ▲ soO= Same here, as long as I can repeat 6 victories I'll be happy.
- Any other remarks? ▲ sun= Tomorrow Paralyze has an OSL match, I hope he advances. Also, my brother is about to complete his military service. It's getting cold, so I hope he takes care of himself and gets out in one piece. ▲ soO= I'll do my best in Round 2. Also, for the fans that are taking college exams, I wish you good results.
SKT: the only team that can resonably send out any of ten different players.
Wish best has held out longer. He at least had a shot if he pulled into his natural and defended the choke and the ramp, considering that Jaedong used all of his overlords for the drop.

from my perspective i think losing the main was much worse than jd losing his own nat imo, jaedong had a saturated third up and running when his main was down and best didn't have any more units left save for a handful of zealots( his shuttle got sniped too and there was only 2 dt's in jaedong's nat.) the more he dragged out the more he would lose out also. all jaedong had to do was to hardcore turtle while sniping every single thing in best's main and just macro a huge hydralisk ball and a-move to victory

Best had no units, no gateways and his natural was filled with cannons, leaving no space to build gateways. There was pretty much nothing he could have done at that point.
10-0 for Bisu and undefeated round 1 for SKT1... pure domination. Soooooooooooo good to see Bisu back though, or for now, just being a total beast in proleague again. Hopefully he'll have some deep starleague runs this season... and maybe win one while he's at it...
Jaedong to Woongjin stars! Finally! Please! -_____-
But though i don't think he ever changes a team. He's way too warm relations with his team, and he probably feels the must to help his friends in the time of need.
But, hm... will they ever be anything other than "the-ones-JD-must-always-care-about"... They must win, too! T_T I cant believe it's the team that was in the final of SPL only 2 years ago.

Protoss win a starleague? That's impossible!
LEGEND OF THE FALL, BELIEVE IT.
unless you want to see another Jaedong vs Flash finals again.... T_T

The series was actually pretty close - Oz put up a good fight. If Hiya hadn't choked and beaten Fantasy or if Sun lost to Sky, it would've gone to ace. Likely would've been an epic JD vs Bisu. Ah well, take the win and like it I suppose.

and best almost beat jaedong >_>
lol i'm pretty sure jaedong just gave up his main because he had already won
He couldn't have stopped his main from being demolished. He had no overlords around, and Best had far too many sairs there, also all of his hydras were involved in the bust/drop at the time. He could have however saved his nat much sooner and with fewer losses if he focused on it (with a new batch of hydras/sunkens), but yeah he knew he won when his drop went largely unopposed and BeSt lost all his production.

I'm pretty sure that he knew the drop was already going to kill him as Best had suicided his zealots and invested so heavily into the drop and sairs that it left hardly anything at home to defend his main from the hydra/lurk. He also lost his first two sairs and cannon'd his nat heavily and his gateways hadn't really kicked in yet. Majority of sairs being out of position signaled the game right there too. Plus, since lair was at his nat, his tech was fine and any buildings lost in main could be easily replaced (when compared to Best) while lurker tech and having sunks lets him re-drone up while re-taking main and his 4th (should game last that long)
However, a single spore at his nat would have made the victory a lot cleaner. ~_~
Also, Best's pylon block was pretty silly when he could have just went nexus first instead of forge and 2 cannons before nexus. :|
"The commentators nowadays keep predicting Bisu for Ace Match now, and that irks me a bit."
Heh, so fantasy did get kind of used to being SKT's ace late last season. Well you need to step it up. 67% win rate in PL isn't good enough to be SKT's ace (even though it's pretty damn good if sustained).
Now that Protoss Central has been handed off to Sun, Best's record has started to slip. Hope he doesn't get too discouraged and continues to develop further, to become worthy of the name he's given himself.
I was initially annoyed with the way Jaedong played against Best, but then I realized that that's what makes him such an exciting player to watch. Even against a mediocre PvZ player, Jaedong is willing to go for more risky/aggressive strategies instead of just playing a normal macro game, which is what most players would have done. He also played a really aggressive game against Jangbi and ZerO. I hope we also see more of this in his ZvT which for a while now has just been very late game oriented.
Whoo! Congrats to SKT for sweeping round 1. ^^ I certainly believe that at this rate, SKT will advance all the way to the 1st seed in the Proleague finals. SKT Fighting!

yeah
which is confusing me because the whole interview implies that SKT has swept round 1 10-0 already?
They swept round 1 9-0. There are only 10 teams total at the moment, each one faces the other 9 every round. Bisu's score for round 1 is 10-0 because he played in every set, and then had 1 ACE match.

Dinotoss shall return.
Return to what? 1 gold in 4 finals despite being one of the TBLS? As much as it pains me to say it, I don't think Stork can do it. But if he proves me wrong, I will be happy.

i dont care who it is
damn it protoss win a damn title!!!
i'm tired of Flash vs Jaedong T_T
if there is one toss who can take down jd´s monstrous zvp, its bisu. flashs monstrous tvp... im not so sure, although bisu has often times played very well against flash... way above his usual, mediocre pvt standard.
lol skt players are very competitive, they won't let their teammates steal his own thunder, bisu vs fantasy and soo vs kwanro.
i remember fantasy stealing bisu's thunder during the PL 08-09 finals, and now this is bisu's revenge to fantasy hehe but this setup works well for skt. i hope they can continue putting up good results.
and to bisu, as a fan, you are so welcome! pls. win your msl this week and osl next week
Where's Kwanro? Looks like he's getting mauled by the threatened Soo in practice. Too bad I think he was really instrumental in kicking off SKT to an excellent R1 start.
also i don't think bisu can take down JD's JvP .. i just can't see it coming .. I can see Soo or Kwanro taking a game from JD though .. which is weird lololol
Thanks for the translations! Bisu with the perfect record along with SKT's clean sweep, it's so good! I think it'll be good for the team if Bisu is considered for the ace instead of always Fantasy, even if Fantasy is slightly unhappy about it.

No, there is another.
Alas, this other only acquired one of the four titles that were within his reach.
But if we accept that Stork is the 4th best player in the post-Savior era, 1/4 is not unreasonable. Who did he lose to? Bisu, Jaedong, and Flash. It's no surprise that he won his other final that was not against one of those 3. I think he showed recently that he can go toe-to-toe with Jaedong, so Stork can still win a Starleague if he can handle Flash (if he has to). I've given up on Stork's PvP though. If he plays Bisu or Kal he is finished.

Why does he feel unhappy? No metter what is Bisu's form atm, Fantasy is still the second core player and insuring card of SKT's good performing. The very importance of both players was clearly seen last season. Bisu as a major ace for SKT is a great advantage for the team, as Fantasy have a tendecy to go in short mini-slumps for time-to-time.
