Shine: "I'm more experienced than the others when it comes to regames"
Q: You completed the RO16 with 2 wins and 1 loss A: Thankfully I was able to obtain the two wins I needed to safely advance to the round of 8, so I'm feeling quite good.
Q: You lost to Mind in the last Starleague match and was unable to set a winning streak record. A: If I say I wasn't a bit disappointed then I'm lying. However I wasn't thinking about my winning streak at all but because the people around me were really disappointed, I was a bit hurt. However I'm definitely disappointed that I wasn't able to show a good match.
Q: Did you practice a lot? A: I only had yesterday to practice, and it was a day where my team had the day off, but my team mates really helped me practice. Joo Song Wook, Lucifer, and Pure helped me practice as if it were their matches, so it was a situation where I was only able to win.
Q: Stork built 2 cannons after seeing 4 zerglings. Your tendency to be offensive is helping you shine [T/N: no pun intended] A: I think my offensive tendencies threaten my opponent. If I use that aspect well, I am able to deceive my opponents easily. I think the fact that I play offensively gives me a lot of advantages.
Q: The eSports Awards Ceremony will be held today A: I'm planning on resting instead of attending the ceremony (laugh). I wasn't able to rest yesterday because I was preparing for the games today, so I think it's a good idea to rest today just to control my condition.
Q: If Mind beats Sea, then there will be a regame match between the three players with a 2-1 record A: Because Mind beat me and won, shouldn't there definitely be regames? But if there's regames, I will be at an advantage (laugh). Don't I have the most experience with regames (laugh).
Q: You seem to be confident in the regames A: If it gets to regames this time, i will be able to do well. If I think about it now, I was able to learn and experience a lot through those rerereregames. If I'm able to regame with that experience as my foundation, then I will be able to make it to the round of 8.
Q: Is there anything else you want to say? A: There has been a lot of people who thought my momentum has been beaten after losing with the winning streak record in front of me. But the winning streak was not my goal -- the title is my goal. I'm still currently running towards the goal so I'm not planning on just stumbling here.

At least I never thought Hyuk was a stupid all-iner since I've read his interviews and also what other SKT'ers said about him. It all displays he's an intelligent and mature player. One thing he maybe lacks is a "killer instinct".

Funny how Jaedong and Flash's attitude towards map imbalance differs from that of Fantasy and Bisu. Jaedong, in particular, has had to endure shitty ZvT maps for so long yet he almost never complained.

Yup its why I have so much respect for Jaedong. Not in any of his interviews have I seen him say "well the maps suck and I don't know if I can win" or something to that even if the interviewer said something like "so the maps are hard for zerg?" and he comes with a response on how the better player should win. Such good mentality I hope he wins MSL/OSL this time he'll pass Nada's record for medals I believe and that would be amazing :D

By the same token really disappointed by HiyA. Losing in PL to practice more for individual leagues is just about acceptable, but then losing in individual leagues as well makes me facepalm as a fan. Hope he can pull his game up again soon.

Dreamliner was a terran map if the zerg was at 6, while it was a zerg map if the terran was at at 6. Basically, whoever was on 6 was much more likely to lose. I can't speak for protoss, most likely the same situation. It was a poorly designed, non-symmetrical map, that's all. Looked good though, from above.
Hyuk and Shine both played major mind games in their games, it seems. Hyuk, who has a tendency to just go for an attack at some point and usually lose, decides to play reactively and completely dominates Flash while Shine threatens a ling run-by but squeezes out an extra drone to get an eco advantage. Very cool.
Then Hiya decides to flop around like the dead fish he is and ruin JD's day. Bad Hiya, bad! You better fucking shape up in PL now.

There was a tiebreaker between Effort/Shine/go.go in the OSL that Effort ended up winning. It went on for like 13 painfully bad games

Did you read Fantasy's interview? Apparently Flash is at the forefront of Terran whining about maps. He has a bit of maturing to do before he can reach JD's level of map acceptance.
EDIT: It's especially funny considering the maps last OSL...talk about T favored! Shame on you pro Terrans and your very short memories...
|
Fantasy mentioning maps wtf?
|
Now Paralyze better win this... Hyuk went this far just to give you the chance, don't disappoint us. Destroy Kal, then proceed to destroy both Kal and Flash to go to the Ro8.
Edit : And Fantasy's whining about maps is really bullshit, this will only get him more anti-fans. The one and only player that has the right to whine about maps is Bisu, because he manages to look good and cute and lovely while whining about maps kekeke.

For the sake of all non-KT fans, PLEASE LOSE PARALYZE! It's been hell to watch Flash make dual leagues three times in a row, and I'd like it to stop.

He must repay the debt He can't repay this debt by something like losing to Flash on purpose. Yes, this is almost a loss directly to Flash on purpose, because if Kal loses to Paralyze he risks to not advance himself, as it's very likely that Flash will win vs him in tiebreaks, and, as "karma" always returns it to you for dishonest play, he is very likely to lose vs Paralyze as well. This is all too dishonest. =\ I think even Flash himself wouldn't like that help by playing dishonest. He should have advanced by himself, and his 1-2 is only his fault.
The best that he could've done to help Flash was winning vs Hyuk tbh.
Let's not see some fixed matches again. =\ I hope that the Kal/Paralyze match will be an honest one.

EDIT: It's especially funny considering the maps last OSL...talk about T favored! Shame on you pro Terrans and your very short memories...
Winter 2010: Pathfinder: TvZ 70% (10 games), TvP 50% (6) Gladiator: 75% (8), 40% (5) Aztec: 40% (48), 30% (37) Icarus: 40% (47), 52% (27)
Korean Air OSL S2: Grand Line SE: 62.5% (56), 53% (38) Eye of the Storm: 54% (100), 45.3% (95) Polaris Rhapsody: 59% (39), 40.4% (47) Dreamliner: 28.6% (14), 50% (12)

So Hyuk gets 600 apm and beats Flash when he's not attached to the result. I guess the SKT team wasn't joking when they said he is awesome in practice.

eh is that what the interview meant?
i thought "loudly leading us common terrans in suffering" meant that Flash has been the only Terran that was doing well and that was an inspiration for the normal Terrans.
or is it that Flash has been leading the whining like you said?

When Flash did well, terrans did well, and lots of terrans said they drew confidence and motivation from seeing Flash succeed so much. Now that Flash is losing more, terrans also seem to be doing worse.

Maybe he meant that Flash, by killing everyone last season, led the map-makers to "nerf" the maps into a disadvantage for Terran? And then, "ordinary" terrans who are not Flash, were put into a super-disadvantageous position. That's what I thought he meant, when I was reading this interview first time.

If any of you read Fantasy's interview carefully, you would know that he was asked about bad Terran position in current OSL, not about his results, and he just answered. That's far from being a cry. Not that bad interwiev, much better than that after match against Free.

similar to Boxer resigning from WCG attendance around 2004, Flash sacrificed himself for the growth of esports. It was getting more and more obvious, that FvJ has gotten passe. Masses want other, more exciting matchups and storylines. Hyuk vs Flash, Bisu vs Shine, Shine vs World, Afrotoss Saga... hell yeah

Not to mention losing against Perfectman and Jaehoon.

But he's already the best player in SC history. Would one ever doubt? So, nothing more to achieve.

Because in an interview after he beat Sea, he made the comment that he did an attack devoted to a quick ending to have the game end early because he needed desperately to go to the bathroom.

doesn't Shine just have one of those faces you want to punch??? I find the shine hatred somewhat irrational until I actually look at him...

Yup this posts hits it on. I honestly don't see Jaedong losing in the MSL (always a possibility of course) and if he does win both MSL/OSL (which I'm hoping he does ) he will have officially passed Nada in medals. I just hope he wins at least one so he can tie

It's not a nice look at all. I wonder what he looks like under those glasses.. I really, really dislike the huge glasses that seem to have caught on in Korea recently.
Wonder what he'd look like with some smaller glasses and a cleaner hairstyle (everyone else who won today had hairstyles while his hair just... sits there.) All he has to do is make his hair sharper!

The moment he thinks he can handle shit from lower Ps, he goes macro mode and fails because.. + Show Spoiler + Then against higher Ps, he does remakes of cheese, timing attacks, all ins and wins, gets super cocky and starts being a dick.

You guys all deserve bans making a big deal out of someones appearance. I mean come on really just because he looks like the way he does doesn't mean you should all be hating on him. I guess some people haven't gotten over the fact that he took out some good players like Bisu, Sea and Stork.
