Jaedong
- Thoughts on your first all-kill this season? ▲ I'm so happy I can't explain it. I thought that I can perform an all-kill someday, but I was stressed out because I kept losing. Like last game, I kept losing in crucial situations causing my team to lose. It feels really good to come out first and finish the game. I don't even remember when I last all-killed, and I feel like "So this is how it feels" (laughs).
- In all honesty, the all-kill is a bit late. ▲ It's true that I haven't been playing well, and I knew it too so I was always conscious of it, making me play worse. I got a little less confident, and because of that I couldn't show my old form. I think today's victory will help me out a lot.
- Were you confident of a lead-off all-kill? ▲ After last game, a lot was on my mind. But the manager asked me if I wanted to be sent out first today, and I felt like by now, I wanted to do an all-kill and test myself. I didn't assure myself of an all-kill, so I only practiced up to Game 2. I wasn't expecting an all-kill, but the wins kept me going.
- You said you only practiced up to Game 2; did you expect Stork? ▲ I didn't. I expected a Protoss, but not Stork. But I think that actually helped me. I felt a lot better after I got rid of the ace quickly.
- You faced some difficulties in the first game, when did you know that you had won? ▲ I think I got the upper hand when we clashed in the center of the map. I think I won because the opponent is a rookie. I didn't play particularly well.
- Against Stork, you brought out a Hydralisk timing rush. ▲ I got a little lucky, and I don't think Stork expected me to come out and play like this. I was only going to do one rush with the Hydralisks, and then go into macro mode.
- It must be a while since you played a fiery Terran like Turn. ▲ I knew what his style was like, but after I played him, he was even more aggressive. I was taken aback by how aggressive he was. I had a big advantage, but I made some mistakes too. It's been a while since I played such a frenzied game. I think he's the best in terms of aggression (laughs).
- How does it feel as a Zerg to play such an aggressive Terran? ▲ Personally, I think it's better to play someone that pressures you that hard. It's more fun, and I like to kill each other's units.
- You had a build order disadvantage against Great. ▲ I was at a little danger because I saw my opponent's build so late, but the map is affected so much by build orders that I just let fate take its course. I somehow won.
- You're not playing bad per se, but people are saying "He's playing bad for being Jaedong". ▲ I personally feel I'm doing okay, but I think people react more than usual to every loss. Because of that, I thought "Maybe I'm really doing terribly", which made me feel uneasy. I was practicing the same, but it stressed me out because I kept losing. I get stressed easily compared to most people, so I think I was affected more. It wasn't easy, but I'm happy that I won when I needed it.
- This is your 32nd victory and you're heading upwards in the individual win rankings, don't you have any regrets about falling out of the race? ▲ Not at all. My teammates are playing great, and the team has a great atmosphere. The coaching staff gives everyone equal opportunity, and everyone feels motivated. I think the rest of the games are going to go well too.
- The next opponent is Winners' League's undisputed leaders, KT. ▲ I think they're the strongest opponents because they have Flash and are in first place. Because they're such a difficult opponent, I am going to practice more carefully. We're in second place ourselves, so we can't speak too early about who would win, I think if we play together like we have so far, we can win.
- You're coming close to the first player with 200 Proleague wins. ▲ It would be really great to set the record for the first time in history. There are still a few wins left, so I want to get them ASAP. I think the all-kill came at an appropriate time.
- People are talking about you quitting Twitter. ▲ I'm not someone who likes leaving my words somewhere. I started it and thought "I should quit this soon", but I never got the timing. And then a few days ago I randomly got the urge to quit, but maybe the timing was a little inappropriate (laughs). People don't need to worry.
- Final thoughts? ▲ Thank you to the manager who believed in me and sent me out first. I practiced harder and concentrated harder than any other occasion, and thank you to Shy and Dear for helping me. Thanks to my parents at home who are always watching, and I want to reassure my dad not to worry. Thanks to the fans too.

Thanks for the trans! So glad to see Jaedong smashing all doubts. Oh and I can't wait for Oz vs KT match
|
Thanks for the translation!
Good to see the old Jaedong back!
|
Even though I'm not a Jaedong fan, it's good to see him back in dominating fashion. Honestly, it was getting a bit sad when he was losing to the likes of Bbyong and Soulkey. Brood war needs a dominant zerg and Hydra isn't ready to take that mantle, so it's good to see the Dong back in form.
|
Jaedong has been practicing his vs. P again, huh? Good to know.
|
I'm so happy for jaedong. I was so worried
|
Hooray! :D Good to see Jaedong doing work again.
|
|
Thx for interview! Good to see Jaedong do well, he seemed so depressed recently ;;
|
I personally feel I'm doing okay, but I think people react more than usual to every loss.
SERIOUSLY. like, seriously. give the kid a fucking break.
|
Oh jaedong, please keep this up and let you be the player to hit the first 200 wins in proleague.
I saw the game against turn only, and wow jd is really the master of eehan timing

How many more does he need? Is anyone else in contention for it?

Yay jaedong!

The Dong approves of TurN's aggressive play. Don't worry son, you'll get your day in the sun. It's just that it's the Tyrant's day today.
Somehow, I don't feel as bad as I would if other teams beat my Khan. Don't worry, we'll bounce back soon enough! :D
|
Woo Jaedong!
I was a bit worried in his game against turn,
|
Jaedong was top-notch in this series, Reality was the one who gave him most trouble.

Yay, I haven't seen Jaedong AK live on stream since vs KT in WL 08-09!

Jaedong keep on going with the all kills! hopefully he 'll play Hydra again soon, should be amazing games with Jaedong back in shape and Hydra challenging the zerg crown.

That game with turn was amazing. OMG when he got so out of position.

Jaedong finally pulls out the dong and shows these kids how it's done.

Jaedong all kill? Slump calling haters, sit down please. Jaedong still beast.

Thanks for the translation. I been hella worried about JvZ, it was like he lost his touch, like he couldn't resist the pressure. After his game vs Great I was clapping, such a cold blood wow, I thought the Dong had lost.
JD gogogogo!

Yaaaay jaedong!
Out of curiosity, are shy and dear practice bonjwas or something? Jaedong always seems to practice with them even though they seem to be terrible...right?

sHy has been tearing it up in the Dream League. He's 14-3 and even got an "all kill".
Edit: Beat me to it :D

I got shivers when I read "... your next series is against KT...." Holy is that ever going to be epic!! Thanks for the interview
OZ FIGHTING!

I am very glad, of this result, with this boost in confidence, I hope he will bounce back to dominating fashion. But I wouldn't say he played exceptionally well. He made mistakes, and often times I think his opponents poor play let him get away with it. For example, when Turn broke trough his front line with like 2 groups of m&m (perfect timing btw, Turn pushed right when the swarm expired!!), and Jaedong had like 1 lurker defending, and Turn didn't manage to do anything. He also left red buildings alive, both times he dropped. And that runby with like a control group of troops did like nothing as well. I must say though J did some epic SV sniping.
TL;DR: Anyway Jaedong played very good, but still not his best I think. BUT still much better then the last month. And with this confidence boost, he will be back in form!!
LEE JAEDONG FIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaedong looked very intense in his booth today. Like a starved lion being handed four gazelles

I was on the edge of my seat the entire match, and was so happy when Jaedong completed the AK. Hopefully this match restored his confidence so that he becomes the Tyrant once more. Oz with an in-form Jaedong is really quite scary, especially since the others have picked up their game.
On another note, looking at the PL Win ranking, I'm surprised Bisu and Stork are behind in wins behind Leessang by that much, despite the fact that both of them debuted before Leessang.
Lee Jaedong Fighting! Be the first to reach 200 Wins in PL!

Jaedong too good to lose when it really matters.
|
Cannot WAIT until KT V OZ. Going to be sick with both teams preforming so well
|
HELL YEAH JAEDONG AK KT GOGOGO

I can't wait to see the games. I'm hoping to see the sharp crisp jaedong of old. If he does manage to reclaim an undisputed best zerg and number 1 or 2 in the world I will be once again in awe of Jaedong.

Haters be hating, JD pulling off an AK like a boss(Did you see his face when he AKED and high-fived his teammates, so baller.
Games were nailbiting though, but thats oke. I still think its amazing how he was able to destroy Reality's mech ball with just hydras.
|
super happy about this, JD played great in those games and it was awesome to see him back in top shape.
That thread about JD failing sucks and this is why.
OZ. thank you.
