Hi everybody. First post on TL.net ^_^V. Anyway, heres my map.

This is my tribute to a C&C Tiberian Dawn map with the same name and it has in the (limited) testing proven to provide a good balanced (As far as I know) fighting gound. I may make a complete C&C map-pack for SC later.... Plz let me know about any imbalances.
Anyway, on b.net Im 99% of the time on Europe mostly as TS-iDrone.

Bnet id: Esc-sMbk race: zerg map making experience: I've always been interested in the map editor. I've made numerous UMS and about a dozen melee maps. This is the first map I've ever submitted into any competition of sorts. The other maps have been to play on amongst friends, although i never showed a couple of them because they didnt turn out they way i had wanted.

I've always been interested in the effects of different amounts of gas at ones main. I've made maps without gas at main, depleted gas nodes and so on. This is one such map.
The minerals in front of the second gas both have 600 minerals to mine. The open gas has 1500 gas before it depletes and the closed one has 4000.
In case you're wondering, I didn't make the map symmetrical on purpose, as I believe that unless your map looks like blade storm, then you're killing its appearance. Additionally, if the map is symmetrical, it lacks positional quirks which make every game different and more enjoyable. I made sure there was no major differences between positions though. updated to 1.9 (a few new doodads added, but nothing major, so im still calling it 1.9)
This is (4)Vega v1.9. A Symmetrical map in space titleset, since space gives the most opportunities in high and low ground, and it is also compatible with both sc and bw. the minerals is as balanced as i could without ruining the symetrical feeling of the map. Only the 1nat of pos 4 has a gas with can require some depot or so to correct it.. but if anyone has a better idea for the gas placement, plz tell me. anyways, a fun map bot for 1v1 and 2v2. Been tested from 1.0 and currently is updated to 1.9. If anyone is interested in playing or sharing maps, please msg me on battle.net (europe)

1) Your battle.net ID: Eatme @Europe. Other relevant self-introduction: Member of THP and other stuff related to mapmaking that nobody have heard of. Made a shitload of maps, I play zerg. And the map name: Jet.Pilot from the SOAD song.

A brief description: tileset is badlands, theme is well it's sopposed to be an eight and two ways to get to the middle but the pathing got fucked so I left the map untuch for maybe a year or so. Fixed some nice colors and stuff, didnt bother to make a OB version yet. Balance is kinda off I guess and the map i inspired by Jungle story with the cliffable main so I can get an excuse to go early mutas.

1) My battle.net ID is quasio@Europe, where I mostly play as random (favs: Protoss). Otherwise, I've done a lot of maps for StarCraft and BroodWar, 40+ at least, and consider myself to be some what "experienced" in mapping. Good? Gee, I don't know hehe. 2) Map name: Naxius Station
I've used the space platform tileset and as you can see, the map is very balanced and symmetrical. It's a good map for usage of dropships and air units. Every starting position got an expansion (reachable by ground) fairly close and the one in the middle may look "heavy" but it's very hard to defend.

Bhekar Ro Revival The "History" behind this map takes part on the remote world of Bhekar Ro is beeing torn appart by the three races in a struggle for a Xel'Naga temple, however the war ends by the destruction of the temple and everything seemes to go back to normal. That history is better described in the Blizzard novel, Shadow of the Xel'Naga. However now its fourteen years later and something is still hidden beneath its dunes.
Prologue Octavia had counted each year, though she felt like it was yesturday it had passed fourteen years. Everyday during the first years she had felt that they would return and the horror would begin once again... But they only horror that came was the ones that she told the children that was born after the incident.
Sensing something nearby she cleared her mind from the daydreaming and she grasped her gauss rifle that she had salvaged from a dead marine. Something was out there. Is anyone there, she shouted. A rock rattled and started falling down the slope. Her thoughts were racing, she had seen those horrible beasts unburrow next to marines back then. She didnt hesitate and raised her rifle to open fire. She wasnt even halfway when she heard a voice inside her head, -Stop dont shoot. Followed by, -Its me Xerana. The dark templar suddenly became visible to her eyesight and was on its path down the slope. Her old friend looked exactly the same as before and Octavia suddenly became very aware of her own mortality. Xerana didnt give her time for any second thoughts and said, -I didnt come here for no reason, there are troubling times ahead. Apperetly the Xel'Naga temple that was destroyd was only the tip of an iceberg. There is a new Terran goverment and they have little respect for old Dominion I fear they wont trouble themself with saving you. However we the dark templar has also suffered much by fellow kin and we would like your tribe to seek shelter with us. Octavia made a grim smile, -I know Terrans cant be trusted.

I only have one important rule about my maps, when I have made a map I ask myself "would this be a funny map to play lots of games on" if not i delete the map or edit it till I feel comforteble. All games played or observerd has been varied fun-fun games and i have seen no or very small inbalance. To people who may doubts its balance I will soon make a replay pack if needed.

Kl0ss is my battle.net name. I play on europe. Have no map design experience at all, my first map. I play as random.
The pic speaks for itself. in 1vs1 u have to scout to see if your opponent is on you side of the map, if not there will be an island map fight. 2vs2 is really fun on this map!
Map Updated again! I have erased some cliffs, added some doodads and made it a bit more open. The naturals now have only 900 min and 3000 and I also put some more minerals on the center gasexpansion to make the centre of the map more important.

My main influence was one of Nostalgia's features that had the cliff leading into the main or leading to the middle for the expansion. I used that idea, and modified it a bit to where there are 3 main parts to the feature, instead of the 2.
I started this 1 day before this contest was offical and have worked on it since then, except for 3 days. The one thing I'm not happy about is the middle. I changed it many times, but it never seemed to fit with the rest of the map, so I decided to shrug it off. Any suggestions for it are 100% welcome.
