Do we have any C-/C/C+ and above Terrans now that could help me out? I can trade music lessons if you need compensation. sgs.eeniebear
I'll give you a few tips and answer some questions but I wont train you. I'm not in the clan but I do hang out in op tl.
This goes for any terran player in sgs. I know your pain!!!!!!!!!

Sayle plays PvZ in a very badass way.

If anyone could give me some pointers on how to get better, I'd appreciate it. I'm sGs.obZeN in-game, and i feel like i'm trying to too much cute stuff (that's fun to do) and I lose to players who seem a lot worse than I am, but just mechanically I'm not there.
For example, I went 1 gate reaver PvP, held off a 2 gate zealot rush barely losing any probes and I think 2 goons (one I micro'd hardcore but for some reason the other goon was obeying my commands but not the one I selected, hardcore rage!!) and then went to harass him with my reaver and was getting an expo up. I threw down another gate after that pressure and then another 2 when my expo was almost done. I had 8ish dragoons when my extra 2 gates popped, about to get into macro mode, and the enemy comes barging in with a bunch of chargelots and a few goons (he only had 1 base) and by the time my reaver got there it was too late.
I checked over the replay and he had literally 40apm and I had 180. I played SC2 first at the masters level so I feel like I have the SPEED needed (checking through gates, upgrades, etc etc, making sure probes mine as they come out of nexus you know the macro ordeal) and am able to keep my money pretty low, but my actual mechanics seem to be completely off if I can lose that easily to someone with 40 apm ;,;
I try to look over the builds on TLWiki but a lot of them don't really give me a much needed direction, and some don't even list what to build at what time!

Spent an hour trying to dl the game and make iccup work. Tons of errors and the guide for me is really not specific. Still can't get into the game :/

Um, what's the problem exactly? The how to start playing starcraft page on ICCUP is quite straightforward as far as I can remember.

This is good I can find tons of practice partners(for my friends) here to help me coach my 2 friends who are about D-/D in BW as well. Hopefully people that signed up will be active, have fun and don't give up!

Sometimes goons get glitched because of too many commands. Just press "s" and it will "reset."
and then went to harass him with my reaver and was getting an expo up. What happened to this reaver? All he needs to have is 3-4 goons at the right spot and you lose your reaver and your expansion.

You gotta be careful taking an expansion when you are playing a reaver+gate against a pure gate army. He'll have more stuff than you, but if you keep your reaver alive you will win the engagement. Basically, the key here is having that reaver and not letting it get sniped.

I try to look over the builds on TLWiki but a lot of them don't really give me a much needed direction, and some don't even list what to build at what time! PvP is a really strategical game, where you have to engage at the proper angles. Early on it comes down to engaging well and microing your reavers, while later you need to make the best use of your HTs.

i had my reaver in a dropship heading over to his base to harass, because i didn't realize that he was 1 basing me hardcore until the shuttle got there and as soon as he saw the shuttle there he ran into my expo (i did have my goons spread for a nice arc etc, but he just had more shit than me since my expo didn't kick in yet) and so my shuttle was hauling ass back to my base as i got worked on.
PvP is the hardest switchover for me, templar in sc2 PvP is non-existent because its shit, i have a lot to learn!!

Yeah, like he said you were ahead from that 2 gate or whatever, and this is comming from my limited pvp knowledge, but if you're so far ahead i think it would have been better to have kept the reaver at home and play safe, expanding in pvp is as hard as fuck and if hes going pure gate its somewhat supposed to be a punishing push/all in, remember this is my limited pvp knowledge, but you could have possibly have had your dragoons (assuming its something like fs) at his natural bridge and dropping his probes, then using that to scout/ buy time for the shuttle to come home while still backing off your goons.

Hey sGs.Mendulla just signed up right now. I am a D level zerg but I sometimes play other races. I have been playing for a few months now mostly on weekends casually. I am just looking for some practice partners to play similar match-ups until I learn the basics. Hope to meet you all soon. My old account was Mendula, feel free to message me anytime I am on.
Edit: found the website disregard this

If you want the simple way of using iCCup just download the anti-hack launcher and select the directory of starcraft.exe when you open the program.

I dled all the needed files including the anti hack, the patch, the reg file, and the game that was linked my Lmaster. I used winzip and got the game files and transferred that to a folder and then when I launched the launcher and selected that file, it told me something about a cd rom error and told me to reinstall.

It would be great if you, L_Master, could address this issue with an ICCup admin, as with would, in my opinion, increase the volume of players attending to sGs significantly.
Thank you. Um, no. You can't. It's a pretty straight forward rule... Simple work around: don't tag up? lol

Im currently C- toss and can help also if someone needs it, just my semester is kinda tough so i dont have time to be online much, so if you wanna play a bit either write me on iccup to sGs.Dark or just here.

Everyone seems to be over-analyzing your game. In my opinion, you just need to make one simple change: scout with a probe before you send your reaver. Or more generally, if you take an expansion in PvP, you should check to see if he's doing the same. If you have an expansion and he doesn't, you should just play defensively because you'll be ahead once it kicks in. If he expands at around the same time or before you, you're free to harass because he won't have a big enough army to just attack you. It sounds like in your game, you expanded but he just 1 base all-in'ed you and won.
I highly recommend Day9's HOP: Winning with an Advantage podcast here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=89581
One of the things he says is actually that you should NOT go and do a risky harass when you're ahead
Also, speedzeals completely destroy dragoons in equal numbers unless you're in an open space and have great goon control.

I might have to make a new account for this ^^ I suck at BW im D terran, trying to get better. But my timezone does not favor me in finding opponents...
