And while these names maybe prominent on TL, the majority of Blizzcon won't consist of TL. (I think) Most SC2 fans have at least a passing familiarity with the BW scene, and the OSL finals appeared on a lot of the main SC2 sites (r/starcraft, etc) and State of the Game did a BW episode off it due to popular demand. Plus, many SC2 fans either are or were BW fans. Since Blizzcon is when the Heart of the Swarm (SC2 expansion) multiplayer is being revealed, probably they'll play some BW, then some HotS showmatches, and then make vague "Yay Blizzard is paying us so their games are good!" noises. I don't think much interesting will happen Friday, I think this is more interesting because it's indicating that Blizz/KeSPA relations are thawing in a way that's potentially good for both games. Or that Blizz wants to try and get a foreign BW scene going alongside the SC2 one. Which wouldn't be too absurd a thing to think, really. They make money off revenue-sharing with tournaments, so it wouldn't bother them if BW competed with SC2 in the west if they had the rights. That's an even bigger pipe dream than Blizz sponsoring a BW team in exchange for SC2 coverage, though.

I'm a huge MVP fan, but considering MVP probably hasn't played much BW in almost a year, and given the huge differences in mechanics in addition to the fact that he was never a solid A-class BW player in the first place (Woongjin T before Light came over), it'd be an absolute roflstomp by one of these four.

Most of us will be interested to see them play the new game. Certainly. It would be interesting indeed to see what truly top notch mechanics can do with a game like SC2. Of course, if they haven't played enough SC2 to have some familiarity and skill at the game it might be uninteresting. Basically, if they have played some and have a good idea how the game is played this would be pretty awesome, if not, not so much. Its a new age and current esports needs them to transfer over. Not convinced here. SC2 doesn't really need this, and it would be a pretty brutal blow to BW if several of the absolute top switched over. Pretty disappointed in alot of you BW guys though. The amount of BW > sc2 eliteism/snobbery in this thread is depressing. Normally I think BW group does a pretty solid job of quality posting, but when it comes to the mention of sc2, that seems to fall be the wayside.

Clan tags. Welcome to professional BW. ........ Why don't people just go around saying shit like "I think Tiger Woods should join my local country club" post-injury? It's the same logic. Now shut the hell up.

That would be funny. I'm happy about this news, I hope they're going to be doing some BW showmatches but I wouldn't mind seeing them play HotS also (as long as it's against each other and not sc2 pros).

Doubt they come to play any form of SC2, people expect so much that anything besides destroying everyone would be embarassing.

Doubt they'll find anything special that's not known that they can exploit in the short time they'll have played it (if those things even exist at all). When people exploited stuff like stacking air units and just small things or trix (if you would like to call it that), Blizzard patched it away lol.

They play different games >.>
