Firebathero had some crazy shit going on since he went to Ace, I think he once made an analogy about water can break a rock or something.

on side note, didn't I read somewhere Jaedong was interested in joining team IM... that would be pretty sick indeed since they are recruiting.

With respect to Korea, while esports is losing popularity the scene won't simply die off. Sponsors and teams will begin cutting back, and that should coincide with SC2 getting more leagues and television exposure. So while SC2 will most likely not be as big as BW, it's going to replace it as the top esport in the land eventually. The global popularity of SC2 also will give Koreans quite an impressive revenue stream from sponsors as well as tournaments. We're definitely going to see more and more Koreans traveling to the US, Europe, and China to compete for huge prizes - larger prizes than will be available in Korea I bet, at least initially. It's going to be a beautiful thing, and I can't wait to see it happen. We're already seeing many foreign teams get serious about competing, and this month we've witnessed multiple foreigners beating good Koreans for top spots. If that continues the scene will get even bigger, and more sponsors will come.

I'm super excited to see them playing SC2 and I expect to see some fancy strategies ^^. I'm sure some of them will come up with a new, revamped, SC2 strategy.

I think letting them play BW would be perceived as an opening to blizzard to Kespa, a way to recognize BW is still alive and that Blizzard want it to stay that way. Making them play SC2 would be quite the opposite. Making them play anything else or nothing, would just be neutral, and I hate Neutral : you never know what those freaks think... Still interesting news.

The background helps, but it isn't a sure-fire thing. What's funny is how many of the old BW players switched *from* Terran (Genius, Idra, Losira). Can you imagine how much qq-ing we'd have about Terran over-representation in SC2 if they hadn't race switched? Then again, MKP was a Protoss in BW. So imagine how different things would be if he hadn't switched over. Ganzi and SaiR were just as much b-teamers as MMA (1988) was. Well maybe slightly less because they actually occasionally played some PL but they weren't ever a-team
