To entice them with the large crowds. Every Korean that has won a MLG has always gone back to tell stories about how exhilarating it is to stand in front of a roaring audience. If the Code-S BW players switched over, they’d have a very good chance at pocketing 50k a month with a lot more international fame and fans.

So you guys will have a spin no matter what is said? If they praise it, the argument will be "oh well they were being professional, of course they can't say what they really thought!"

That's because the Koreans that won a MLG have also never won major titles in BW. Clearly, you've never watched OSL finals, because if we're talking a roaring audience and large crowd, there is no comparison. I would know; I was at the Jin Air OSL finals, and the Proleague Grand Finals this year. These 4 are top players who've stood in front of thousands of fans multiple times. This is nothing.

Nah, they dont profit from their opinions, their job is to slay nerds. But whatever they say, Im sure it wont be something like "the game sucks". Since its a mirror matchup, they probably wont talk about balance either.

That is very true. But there is a thing to be said about being famous / recognized in multiple countries. to be a global superstar. I think Jaedong himself once said that one possible pull of SC2 for him it the possibility to be famous globally. To be roared and cheered by people of your own country is a wonderful thing. To receive the same treatment from people who don't speak the same language as you, from total strangers, is a whole other different feeling. Especially if these rockstar treatments and cheers come from a totally different culture. BW is popular in Korea and China somewhat but not so much outside of those countries sadly. These guys are all very popular in Korea. Maybe Blizzard is appealing to their desire for greater fame and recognition? I don't know if these progamers have those ambitions though. In any case , probably just think of it as they are invited to have a good time and no hidden intentions. We won't know anyway.

Those certainly were huge events but so is this. I don't agree with the idea of trying to woo these guys but don't disparage an excellent event just because it's SC2 on the main screen.

And don't forget a lot of the dudes are Blizzard fanboy neckbeards (you'll know what I mean if you watched the panels). I think they will prefer the company of fangirls to the stench of manflesh. Blizzard wont be able to seduce them with this crowd.

Oh no, I'm definitely enjoying watching the event (which is odd, because I tend to dislike TvT). I just don't enjoy people suggesting that BW players don't get just as much support, recognition, and crowd support at home, which is hardly true, or that they would be so easily swayed by simply a large audience. Sorry if it came out like I was insulting Blizzcon, that's not what I meant.

I feel sorry for the people that haven't seen the passion of the Korean fans at the BW finals, it's their loss. It's good to see we're getting near that level elsewhere also!
