This was translated by SpAnK[eM], and he left it in the format Nada wrote it in to preserve the feeling. I don't know if it's been posted yet, but I couldn't find it, and I thought it'd be something people here would want to read.
Title: Letter to the Sky
hi this is nada~.. hows ur life goin'? i am drunk today too~ i am living life with drinks nowdays u know when u drink, u feel better? i was walking in the rain after having drinks with friend in the cafe
like...
the rain that is... father's tear..
my dad always wanted to do some business... had many failures because of those tries... but before all those failures he wanted the happiness of our family... but... he couldnt... no... because of that 1 guy...
my dad was very healthy... very healthy... my dad was very strong... he wasnt skinny like me he was big.. and strong.. he never lost vs people and when we were living in the name of poor my father fought with gansters only with his 2 hands...
oneday my mother came back home with all bruises over her face my dad grabbed a metal pipe and gone to the corporation .. he leaped over the fence to revenge for my mom... its like that... thats how much he loved our family and thats how strong he was...
but.....
the 1 guy .... drinking driving... and by illegial U-turn dad is in the sky now... this ... this isnt a destiny.. its an error of destiny... an error of the sky... the error that never supposed to be happend...
ha.........i still feel empty... but not a long ago... when i walked in the rain... i felt it.. it was like... my father's tear
i...nada... think i have to get brave back...
i talked with my friends in Gumi(state of korea)... alot of talk... everyone is living a hard life... i felt it now...
i realized how happy life i am living while talking with my friends... i realize it now... now... now i realize...
yes i have to wake up again... having no practice now is killing me...
if i go back to seoul... practice hard... so no one can beat me...
and for sure... i will dedicate all those winnings and honors to .. my father...
Is this from his homesite or something ? Because if he wrote this to a person who gave it away that's really bad . Anyway I hope Nada isnt gonna be an alcoholic now ;(
Very sad... but powerful, i have the upmost respect for him now, watch out nada is a determined guy, who has what it takes to dominate teh gaming world, this should be interesting gl nada and i hope u take over.
Oh my fucking god, I am going to save this and maybe even have it translated again. Thank you brood, I always had access to his daum and wanted someone to translate his journal but I couldn't find someone to do it for me.
This is why NaDa is my favorite progamer/person of all time. I learned a lot from this Brood, thank you.
It's touching the way he shows his feelings, how he realtionated the rain with his fathers tears.
I love the way, he says that he will practice and win in honor of his father. Its almost surreal How i feel after reading this, and watching to my dad faces when he's sleeping.
I don't know If I should feel sorry, or just feel the same pain he does, cause, If I lose my father, I would do the same as him..get drunk..get wasted..and just went-out reality for just 24hours.
one day my mother came back home with all bruises over her face my dad grabbed a metal pipe and gone to the corporation .. he leaped over the fence to revenge for my mom... its like that... thats how much he loved our family and thats how strong he was...
Ouch ~_~
Im sorry, but hearing things like this from people I do not personally know does not effect me.
Bump for all the new posters from the last couple of years. If you came to Teamliquid more than twice in your life, you really need to read this. Yes, it's kinda random, thank me later

I worry that people who follow SC2 won't see this bump, they won't know the torment that Nada overcame to be the man he is today. Simply inspirational.

If there was some ridiculous reason you didn't think Nada was amazing before, you can't possibly believe that after reading this. Truly inspirational.

That's fucking awesome. I wish I was following the scene back then. I almost had a tear in my eye after he beat IdrA (at MLG?) and walked out onto the stage and yelled "I AM NADA!" while point to his chest at each syllable. There was so much energy and passion. Absolutely incredible. Every NaDa thread I see I become a bigger and bigger fan.
Edit: VS Puma, not IdrA :D here's a link to it if anyone hasn't seen the video.

i always thought something was behind him as he dominated for years and years. stayed at the top, was always nada-esque and had his own plateau of play. i never knew that harsh times would affect him. but look at him now :D he's always evolving

I remember the first time when i became a NaDa fan browsing around and learning about his tragic past and how he overcame that to become a total BOSS dominating everything. But this letter still makes me sad.

Thanks for the bump. I follow NaDa for a long time, but I just learned this. Thanks again.

Nada... so great. Love him deeply moreso from this letter. I hope he rekindles the same fire in his heart and wins a gsl soon. I have his autograph from mlg raleigh and will cherish it forever. It will serve as a reminder to me that striving for greatness is what nada stands for.

O_o Wow... Nada had a tough life, and he still does. And it's heart-breaking that his father passed away due to a car accident. T_T Best of luck to him.

Thanks you, this is an amazing bump
Coming from SC2 i had always thought Nada was always an amazing person but this....i'm speechless T_T
Incredible bump. Really is touching. I wish Nada would get treated with as much respect as Boxer does. Even though I didn't watch BW I can tell he has a huge fan base and really had an impact on the entire scene. I hope to see him break out once he's done with his studies. Nada fighting!
oh wow, i remember rooting for Anytime so hard in that final, which i watched live. I was a protoss player myself and anytime was my favorite player, i was so sad when Anytime lost in the end after having such a huge advantage, but now im kind of relieved after i've read this. If i read that letter before watching the finals back then i wouldn't be able to root against Nada at that time.
This really moved me, I had never heard anything about this, and it really sheds some light on NaDa for me, wow. It makes some of NaDa moments I've seen even more meaningful.
