Only gosu/pro replays, dated mainly 2010-2014. Most of the replays don't work on Iccup, because of the maps. You need to watch them on fish/eu/west/single player. You don't need any patch change. If a replay bugs, or crashes, try not to speed up for the first minute, then you can watch it normally, or load it with Chaoslauncher/Wlauncher, which have repfix plugin for the chat crashes. Naming: (race) after name means offrace, number after name means position for mirror match ups. I wrote in all the progamer or other gosu player names that i could identify. Search in BW TLPD (pro or amateur) for the name, and you can find more info on the player. How do I identify them? - Every gosu player has a unique hotkey usage, it's like a handwriting, and I know most of the ex-pros and some of the top amateurs.
Update as of 2017 I don't have much time for BW, so i'm not searching for new reps. With the existence of pro streams, replays are not worth so much anymore anyway. Still, they are somewhat useful and entertaining. So if you got your hands on a nice hot pack, send me a pm if you want to share it with others here, and i might organize it. Also, since these packs contain a lot of games, not all of us have the time to go through a lot of them. If you find really good games or a gem among them, you could point out and those could be uploaded to the replay section on the left so everone can enjoy. Have fun to everyone

I found these reps in my download folder. It took me a WHOLE DAY just to sort them.
Thanks to vhvvx777 for giving this pack to us, i only organized it and wrote in the opponents, because it was a mess. It contains about 370 1v1 reps of Light against a great variety of ex-progamers and random Fish server users. Some things that you can find in this pack:
-lot of Bisu and Zero -lot of having fun (with offrace too) -beating maphacker -Light's many faces.
Light's 2 accounts: mulgoginaksi and Native_lt
Note: the numbering of the reps was quite random, so i edited the names of the higher reps in a way that they are now in the order of play date (the number even shows 13 or 14 for the year it was played), and the name changes when there was a break after consecutive games.
Even though Scan is a douche bm sometimes, one must admit that he is really good. Ever wondered why? He plays like 20 games a day on average. This is 3792 real games in 6 months, mostly from 2012. Can't believe i went through them all and organized it...
He is dsaqwe's friend and high ranked amateur protoss. I heard he is in top 3 among amateurs but others told me he is a bit worse than that and likes to allin 2 gate proxy etc. Well his PvT builds are a bit bold i think but of course still solid execution.
He is the progamer with the highest APM. It's above 400 usually... I think his average is around 425, but sometimes he gets to 500. The highest apm I saw in a game longer than 10 minutes was his: 539, (vs Idra). He is not the highest in skill though -.-
does he need introduction? he was pro for 1 week at samsung. IDs used: rual.woong, rual.pororo, evra, davi, rual.pororo, rual.hyo, [neox]mini, eagle4825
This guy was in OZ and reached ladder #1 on fish when i first joined there. Sure he can play if he wants to. He 4-0'd 1a2a3a in a showmatch before. Even tho not as crazy as terror, i've talked to him and i can tell you he didn't seem normal either - he spammed like mad and wrote stupid random stuff. But funny sometimes -.- His 1 base agressive playstyle reflects these too. Accounts: glow`sky, jambbong, prettyzerg
Another ex OZ member. Hiya called him Computer2 referring his weak skill. How sad. Well, maybe he's not the gosuest but still he is good and you know its not easy to find zerg replays, so zerg fans have to make do with this small pack; Accounts: pack 2: glow`jinu, seolguji, math pack 3: darae-juice, glow`jinu, neo.g_halOJw, Acetone, wenson
This guy might be bm, and not the highest rank, but his style is awesome to watch! Expect mass zerg gayness. He simply dodges vZ and plays terran instead
Roughly 500 reps played in 2010 december - 2011 january on brain server and west. You will be surprised how many games these robots can play vs each other on their free will. [Note: i think the long series are numbered in reversed order.] Terror's IDs: 1a2a3a[fOu], [neox]hwangso, [neox]sinbi, vsocnk1, ChulGooSex
Several progamers here too, especially in the TvZ section. You can also see how Kidca performs vs this 1900ish terran. Unfortunately he entered the military few months ago, so these reps are from 2010-2011.
Shinee is actually amateur, but i think he is better than all B team progamers. Some of these reps were already out but if you don't believe me watch how he's doing vs Light or Stats. Oh, and he is 202 cm tall.
Sziky vs gosus 2011 oct - 2012 june. Autoreplay number 7000~ ones were played before, and then the 00xx up to 1000~ Now since there are many reps, I've organized them into 5 categories:
1. vs identified players: current progamers, ex progamers, semi pros, mostly good amateurs, fish BJs (streamers) 2. vs ladder gosus: unknown players but probably gosu, better than most 3. vs ladder players: given the rank they played at, these are still high level games 4. vs lower ladder + short games: probably not that good opponents and whatever level rush games (<10 minutes) that are not part of a series 5. vs hackers: i didn't delete these for da lulz - multicommand, auto train etc hacks
Note that i didn't watch most of these games, i mainly guessed by the look of the hotkey patterns and that can be deceiving so there might be good and bad games in all categories. Are you big enough Sziky fan to watch even the 4th folder?
Thank Dsaqwe for getting this, not me. The guy who sent him asked to only share with non-koreans so please don't upload these on korean forums, sites or anywhere they are likely to access it! This is also the reason I'm not uploading any to the replay section - even though I should cause these are real progamer house practice reps of the Tyrant: 179 ZvPs against mostly OZ players with a few guest appearences of STX and SKT, featuring Bisu. There are also a few obsed games of various matchups including Stork and rare replays of Lomo. Besides those, its really only Jd ZvP and I don't know why there are no ZvTs or ZvZs. The pack was kinda messed up and I couldn't decide how to organize, so I did 3 ways; I sorted by map, by opponent and by date played (where each day is a new folder). Its up to you to decide how you want to watch them and you can delete the other 2 folders if you want to cause its the same replays 3 times.
Jaedong vs sOs: 38-9 Jaedong vs Sky: 26-10 Jaedong vs AnyTime: 9-2 Jaedong vs Dear: 14-2 Jaedong vs Rain: 3-3 Jaedong vs Sonkwon: 20-3 Jaedong vs Perfectman: 13-5
Watched them all. Sick.
Barely think sOs won a single game above 12-13 minute length. Jaedong vs Sky games on Benzene were really good. Jaedong had trouble adapting to Sky's style.

I was given these reps on fish (2011-13) with the request not to share them, especially not with koreans. But it was so long ago... i don't think anyone cares any more. Still i just put them here hidden. If i offended anyone, i'm sorry. Just don't want these nice games to perish.
as you will see, i am short of zerg players there. but don't worry, the other players have a lot of zerg reps too, and the winner varies really, because many of the players gave me the reps to ask who was the gosu opponent they played.
I don't like to watch games before I cast them , but I also don't want to cast a boring game... if anyone has a recommendation for a game to cast from these, please PM me.

Sea.khP1a2a3a[fOu]Z_14 Sea.khP1a2a3a[fOu]Z_7 if you check these games, you can see a lot of minimap pings + shift selects starting from 04:58 in both games, that is what's counted in the apm. there is a pause in 14 and it crashes bw, but i didn't notice a pause in the other game. and i've seen this thing before so i don't think its the pause.
You need to use the EXE version of Broodwar the game towards that version of the game...NTT was back from like 1.04-1.08 when I used to play (1.00-1.14)
I don't have links but if you Google around I'm sure you can find it)
Watched all of the MaeJang replays. Amazing... He basically proxy hatches and slow lurk drops every ZvT and is way better at it than anyone has a right to be. LMRB was really useful for keeping track of what I've watched ;p Would be nice if someone had an up to date AKAs file for BWChart~

for some reason I'm not getting the replay pack instead it just gives me one RAR file and I can't watch it on my replay. Can someone tell me the steps to convert this thing?

if its still .rar then you have to extract the replays because they were compressed into one .rar file

i tell you a secret. i typed "how to open rar file with macintosh" into google and BAM! first hit
lol when i saw that post I was immediately skeptical googled it and found the same page on the first hit... I just couldn't believe that something as widespread as rars is not accessible on macs...
Your replays on the other hand deserve much love and are quite a good find ;P
The prayer of men was heard.. haha. i actually ended up uploading an ex OZ fest. For the savior fan boys: i don't have his pack. But if you download the other stuff i uploaded, you will find his reps here and there.
Anyone has bugged replays? please send me in pm. i mean like real hardcore bugs that are unusual.
oh and there was a mistake in the hiya pack: i wrote to a tvp rep that the protoss was ever)p(mini... but its not mini, its By.Maru... sorry, corrected now.
This is 1.4gigs (once unzipped) worth of top foreigner replays (about 23,000 total). One might even call it the height of foreign play, when they had something big to compete for, when all the greats like Mondragon were still around, when Nony and Idra were getting experience in Korea... These are precious replays of true foreigner style (watch Mondragon play ZvP and you will know that has nothing to do with copying a Korean).
So if any of your guys are somehow done all the replay's in Zimp's op, this is not a bad place to go either.
Cheers
edit: remember that Razer TSL was played in 1.15... Some replays may bug out if you don't use the correct patch.

I'm more like "brb learning how to ZvP from Sziky". I suck at ZvP (well, I suck in general but it becomes times and times more obvious if I try to play a ZvP) and Sziky is like the world's best ZvP (as long as you consider SK another planet) so... HERE I COME!!1!1
hm is it just me or did sea.kh // tento get their names confused? I thought there was a Sea.kh vs Hiya reppack (4-6 reps) they play electric circuit / etc... But then when I watch Sea.Kh reps he's doing completely different BOs. Also they got the pvz mixed up in different replays, I am just wondering which one I actually like, sea.kh or tento
edit: my question is... What are their akas in the reps and where do I find those hiya vs Sea.kh reps again? (hiya reppack?)
no more new replays here =( I hope they will be, Zimp, very hope. U r great man, tnx. If somebody needs new BW-replays check up http://reps.ru/replays.php To TL.net from Russia with love.

Hello Zimp, we played few games on battle.net by New Year and you said like you feel that nobody needs these reps. You are wrong, we really appreciate your efforts. Please keep going, thx for reps
I have this thread saved in bookmarks and check it everytime i finish any reppack. Everytime i check, there's something new and still i haven't watched all protoss reppacks. So your effort isn't unnecessary.
Windy went 77-1 thats so sick, I really need to check that reppack out! I am just imagining the guy playing 77 games and rage quiting after his 78th because he got cheesed out xD.
is the Shuttle reppack any good? I am looking for good reppack to study.

If you want standard protoss then Anytime is probably best for learning.
Eagle's pack is pretty good too.
If you are looking for something entertaining or off-beat builds that you won't see elsewhere then Sky is king. (ie in pvz, 1base robo expo double star into 5-7gate speedlot or +1 3/4 gate into 2star into 5-7gate speedlot)
I only watched Shuttle's PvZ reps but they weren't as good for learning/copying as above.
is there a way to make it working to host these on iccup? i get a error message that game name exists when i try to host the reps. I heard that this is a known bug conected to the fact, that those games were played on fish. I try to host those on ICC ofc. Thanks.
I believe these errors string from the fact that you cannot host one on one games with maps that aren't included iccup's map pack, in which case I have no clue how to make it work. You can always watch these replays in single player mode, multiplayer Lan or in servers besides ICCup.
those z v p are so brutal and right at the time when jaedong was easily stomping on all protoss, really impressive, it didn't get old at all. Everything you need to know about z v p is in this pack.
hi there, since that's a replay thread I thought i'm gonna ask here, could anyone post a reppack made a while ago, I think by Day[9] ? which consisted a lot of replays of Flash, especially one Flash vs Snow on HBR, which I'm looking for atm
wow thanks, gonna check that out (best vs flash on Heartbreak Ridge)
its actually snow vs flash, and i just linked it because the post above mine asked for it. and maybe he was searching for this pack? http://www.sendspace.com/file/5m4hfi

Is it just me or does Sky sometimes play kind of bad for his level?
I've been watching some of his games and sometimes he randomly decides to chase vultures with his entire army across half the map and let 20 siege tanks siege infront of his main ramp.
He also in-base 12 nex on FS which was pretty funny.
Also I'm curious how did you get your hands on those JD replays considering that they are in-house? If there was a way in hell for you to obtain a couple more in-house practice games of various players I'd sell my soul the devil. I mean they must be stored somewhere and since professional BW days are over I don't think whoever has them would mind doing so. The question is who, obviously.

The problem is going about getting the replays. I don't really think that the people who actually know the coaches would ask them just because of the sheer respect of the remaining BW community.

i mean BW is getting popularity again so it would be great to get some new and fresh gameplay from those that stream on afreecaa... there should be one person that can talk to those retired pro that now usually streams :D
The opposite. Players have a motivation to hide their replays since there is a tournament they care about Even top foreigners used to care a lot about not releasing their replays back in the day.
It's not impossible that zimp simply isn't active right now too.
I remember this.. You said you will pay and wanted me to send you the replays first.. Then you replied through an e-mail saying, "I won't pay you because you are a douche." I deleted many old emails, so I cannot prove anything. However you lied to get replays from me. And there is no reason for me to hear "douche" from you also. Sorry to hear these circumstances, we certainly appreciate these replays -- especially Westerners like me who rarely see replays with pro-gamers.
If you're really opposed to the means used to obtain them (very much unethical), I imagine we can have a mod/staffer remove the download links from the thread to minimize the damage

Heh, so i send a message to that rednada85 guy asking for that Flash autoreplay he kept mentioning. He said he had one, so i wanted to exchange replays with him and get the pack. We agreed to share the replays and he would send me Flash's replays. So in the end, i sent him these very packs and he sent me like 6 replays of fake Flash and claimed he actually didn't have the autoreplays. Now he posts the packs here under a different id.

Sorry for the blind accusation then. It seems his threads were deleted though?
yes
He has been uploading the replay versions on YGOSU for a while. But when I checked them out, they were 100 percent identical to those uploaded on teamliquid. This didn't bother me. The real problem is that he hid the fact that he downloaded the replays from teamliquid and acted as if he had them all along. He got criticized from another user, kept his head down for a bit, then appeared with a second ID and uploaded the Flash replay. But a suspecting user exposed his identity, along withthe fact that he had a second ID and that the Flash replay is also fake, Thus forcing him to disappear once again after deleting all his uploads.
The mentioned fake Flash ID is stated here: www.002 vs glow`sky (Sky[Kal) sea.sandara vs Sky[Kal] kyakya vs SizzErGcOm (baby) kyakya vs Culture (flower)
Among these, www.002, sea.sandara has turned out to be a maphack user. (http://blog.naver.com/63806533/110178923475 (첨부파일 = download)

I'll try to post an explanation on what to click in order to download the replays (or maybe organize and upload the replays somewhere else?). I typed this whole thing out and then my internet gave out for a second so I had to retype it And I'm frackin' starving!
After you click on the matchup link, click on the link next to the green arrow with an orange number in parentheses next to it. Then click on the left link in the popup box (should say "내PC 저장"). You have to do that individually for each replay.

I'm not sure if there is some misunderstanding but hes asking "Why am I not allowed to upload reps I got from here onto my blog when you guys are uploading reps you got from my blog onto teamliquid? I'm going to delete everything and not post anymore."
Since I was curious I went to his blog and it says on the first page "Foreigners ask me to take down reps that I got from their site while they're uploading reps that I uploaded... wtf". Also seems hes wondering if he should limit access to the reps on his site.
So I'm guessing someone here contacted him to put down some reps that he got from tl and then he saw how other people were uploading reps from his blog here and he's pissed off about that.
Like from skimming around the thread I don't think I saw anyone telling the guy to take down the replays he took from here so I'm wondering if anyone privately contacted the guy about this. If this is the case if you're unwilling to talk about it publicly can you pm me what the situation is so I can try to see if I can clear any possible misunderstandings.

I sent him a PM about 45 mins ago to ask him about the situation, and I offered to mediate. I'll let you know what I find out.
I should do some research on brood war replays. The replays are available here. I'm looking for a Python package to load and parse them. Anybody could recommend me a Python module?
i asked him to delete 1 pack that he got from this thread (fantasy). for that case, i already clearly stated in this thread that those are private reps and i only shared them so others can watch them and not miss out, not so that they should share it somewhere else. but i guess he didn't understand it in english, so i added a little korean text since then.
and to his question: he can share all except those where i wrote private please. he should be thankful for the reps instead of crying here about me sharing his replays that he advertised here on his free will.
please communicate this to him in a respectful way thx.

i shouldn't mention that nothing has changed about the uploads.
it seems like chrome is doing that to all files on mediafire now. i hope they will fix it. until then, you can DL them with another browser or rename the extension to .rar and they are usable.

Sorry it took me almost a week, but I just messaged him to let him know what the situation is. Whatever his answer is, I'll let you know by PM.
Yea what is confusing is that he didn't explicitly mentioned that it was Light who requested this. Vantiendung just wrote literally "This was requested during streaming". So I'm not sure if its Light who requested it or someone else. But if its not Light the request doesn't really hold any weight.
The problem is, is that certain replays that were being uploaded to that guy's blog were not meant to be shared. The ones of Fantasy specifically. Zimp shared them with us anyway, possibly to his own detriment, just so that the games would not be lost.

If you check out the korean vs foreigner (fat vs ajae) tournament, they are giving away replays to people who support the tournament. There are many players including stork, bisu, flash, and jd.
Also his play was clearly sloppy but his game sense was still there, at one point i think he had like 8 or 9 idle scvs at his main CC for at least 4-5 minutes :D. When you watch that rep and check his stats it's clear that he's a high level player that looks to be un-rusting, and yea his drop style was very similar to FantaSy's.

I am about to check. Everything I know about BW I know from watching FanTaSy play. I've seen pretty much every single game he's ever played on television by this point. God if it's him I'm going to cry tears of joy.

It was a while ago... I watched a stream of Best (I think it was Best but I don't 100% recall, but if it wasn't best it was a former SKT1 member), that after hearing all the rumors watched 2 of this guy's replays and said he agreed that it was Fantasy.
Likely that he'll continue to practice on Remastered as much as he can until his release then we'll see
I started this thread over 5 and a half years ago. It was viewed over 100k times. This means it was viewed about 50 times a day on average (but these are not individual views, obviously). If you compare that with the stats of the Nada's body thread, that one was viewed more than 10 times more often. So I'm guessing people go there to read, and here, rather to download. It's normal.
Downloads on average for a pack: 212
Most downloaded: Jaedong OZ reppack, 867 times.
Download distribution of the reppacks is not typically Pareto-like. The most downloaded 20% represents only 40%.of the downloads. Yields a Gini of 0.33. It's slightly unequal, but not badly, which is good, and it means not only Jaedong gets the love : ]
Zimp, in Chess all important games are archived as chess notation and published in books annually, which becomes an important resource for the history of the game, as it evolves, and ultimately for teaching new players. I am glad to see this thread. I am looking forwards to viewing some of these replays. It is frustrating to continue to have to watch some of the groundbreaking early games by players such as SlayerS_Boxer in poorly encoded youtube videos. I hope that Starcraft too one day will have the same archive of historic games that Chess has, and it will be widely available. There is more that I'd like to add, but for now I'll just say thank you for your service to the classic starcraft community.

I've thought about this very problem and there's a solution that's theoretically not even particularly difficult, but would definitely take a dedicated team and many man months.
Use neural nets to look at poorly encoded games, train them to recognize what pixelated messes represent what (i.e. what unit, what facing, when it's attacking, when it's moving, etc.) and then just replace each identified asset with the HD equivalent.
The initial investment would be pretty big, but once it gets pretty good at recognizing things, all games in history could be brought up to modern quality.
On September 21 2017 13:48 RomeD wrote: Ancestral, or just track down the koreans who possess the replays and ask them to upload the replays here?
Either KeSPA has the replays for every broadcast game, or they don't. I don't think it's remotely feasible to find every pro game individually, nor would I believe they even all exist outside of some putative database.
The one appealing aspect of my (also fanciful) solution is that the entire original game cast could be left intact, since the original observer's actions would be the same.

Nice stats, btw this Jaedong pack is by far the best thing that happened in replays since Boxer.

1.16 works fine so tehy work at least and i would say they are usefull, it often even helps if u play non meta builds if ur build is agressive, sure non meta defensive builds die to mondern builds but offensive builds are often unknown to alot of players who currently play

lazzy guy in here i was downloading all the replays of this thread and then i deleted the folder by error when scanning my PC... it can happen to you, it happened to me.
So i ask... is there any consistent way or software outhere that could help me "scan this thread" for all the mediafire links and download them all at once?

I'm sorry to hear that. Before downloading new material to your computer please try downloading an undelete program such as Diskdigger, EaseUS data Reovery Wizard 8 Professional, GetData Recover My Files Pro, MiniTool Power Data Recovery 6 (free). That should help undelete the files. You might have to rename them but you will have them back. Best of luck to you in the future.

Would you mind posting your reps? I know have several Gigs I could share but who would want to see a bunch of fast maps... however I do have a lot of LM downloaded reps.
This may be a bit of a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone had any replays of Calm circa 2008-2009? His play during that period, and specifically during the MSL that he won was super fun to watch and I'd love to be able to steal some of his aggressive 2-hatch builds vs. T.
There are remastered pro replays in the Foreign Brood War discord. Just go to the channel #vods_and_replays, and click the top right pin icon for all of the replays
Just a heads up, many of those replays are overlapping with the ones in the OP of this thread, but thanks to TT1, there are several new additions to zimp's replay packs, as well as some completely new packs.

Fun fact: at http://starlog.gg if you look up a player's profile, if it is public and they are S rank, it shows match history and you can download replays on there.
most of the progamers have set their profiles to private meaning you can't download their replays and even the progamers with public profiles don't have replays to download.

@KameZerg If you don't want your replays to be available to the public, simply log in at starlog.gg. It uses your bnet account info. Go under "My Stats" then click on the profile you want to change. Then on the top center, in yellow text, there is a gear button next to "User Profile". Click that and you can customize your profile on starlog
