Hoping for Flash vs Fantasy semi-finals, then mini > Fantasy in finals (sorry JangBi, you had your Legend of the Fall last year, now it's time for Royal Roader!).
imagine if FlaSh and soo switched places? Mirror match ups, everyday.
Jangbi<Mini 2-3 (THE ROYAL ROAD IS CALLING) hyvaa<ZerO 1-3 (its hyvaa, hes gonna 4 pool) Shine<FlaSh 0-3 (FlaSh please start practicing BW again) Fantasy>soO 3-1 (Fantasy goes Fantasy build and Cholera makes his final video appearance to yell how the build is complete crap and it sucks the end)
What a shitty round of 8. A teamkill, pvp, zvz and a walkover (lol flash vs shine). Hoping for good games, but this doesn't look promising in my first impression.

+1 for Cholera reference... but I thought he would have made his appearance when Reach retired...
Fantasy 3-1 SoO (HyuK plays for SoO) Flash 3-2 Shine (closer then some expect) Jangbi 3-1 Mini (I smell some cheese in 2 of these games) Hyvaa 3-1 Zer0 (ZerO is bad in ZvZ and Hyvaa can all-in any one of these games and throw ZerO off)

Yes. Last BW OSL. Next OSL SC2.
really?? wow thats depressing D:
Flash > Shine (Flash hasnt lost a tvz in ages) Fantasy > Soo (but i think it will be close) Jangbi > mini (noooo why did the 2 protoss meet in ro8??? well at least there will be one in ro4) ZerO>hyvaa (also close)

Flash will be prepared. I think chances are still higher for Flash in a close battle, because he has experience.
If only Fantasy can play better than him from the start of first to the end of last game (which would logically result in a Fantasy 3-0) then it's going to be fantasy's game. If not and game gets really close, Flash will likely be the winner.
If I was Flash I would go full on BW for this last OSL. It really does not matter if he takes 6 or 12 Months to get to the top of SCtoo. Nobody expects Kespa Terrans to do good at MLG too. If he wins another major title it would be better for his reputation.

This is completely normal in TvT, at that point in the game, even by Flash's standards...
I guess he needed the spare supply anyway more right? But I saw a Flash vs. Fantasy WL finals last season where he didn't start banking more than 4 digits until long after he was maxed.
The prospect of Flash vs Fantasy makes me jizz. Holg fucking shit it's going to be more epic than the set in SPL finals and the epic bo5 of hana daetoo msl. Make it happen 3-2 for Flash, WE WANT EPIC LAST OSL

Well what he needed at that point was more wraiths and tanks, so he was completely constrained by gas. Vultures probably wouldn't have been a good investment.
It obviously depends on the situation of the specific game, though.
Ro8 bo5 is pretty sick. Glad OSL decided to do that. As much as it sucks Zero always has to play a ZvZ, he definitely should win against Hyvaa. I'm assuming first 2 pairs and latter 2 pairs play each other in ro4? Zero has a score to settle with both terrans on the lower side of the bracket.

I'm only aware of the score to settle with Flash over the MSL.

Fantasy's been stomping all over him again and again in PL.

And by that you mean he won their last encounter rofl. This draw is excellent for Flash. It's by far the easiest opponent he could hope for. The TvT semifinal is almost guaranteed. I give 10% to soO at best (teamkill factor), and 5% to Shine. On the other hand, Zerg are owned right here. The only realistic way I see a zerg winning would be a ZerO vs FantaSy final. Mini and Jangbi will have a hard road, but Mini can make the finals, and Jangbi can win it. I'm pretty excited for the PvP and the ZvZ, and I enjoy stompings, so the two TvZs should be fun. Semis are more or less bound to be amazing unless Shine or soO troll us. Mini/Jangbi vs ZerO/Hyvaa should be good whatever happens before, and Flash vs Fantasy... Overall, I like it.

Um. No. By that, I mean he won every one of their encounters since Season 1 began.
And if you actually watched those games, not one of them was even remotely close. Fantasy just steamrolls through Zero.
It's too bad they started playing Sc2 before this OSL was over, the level of play hasn't been as high as we would have expected otherwise. However, it's STARCRAFT BROODWARD the finals could be Shine vs hyvaa and I'd still be stoked!
Sad for Soulkey. But possibility of Flash vs Fantasy TvT is exciting as always. And zer0 <3 so gosu.

Oh sorry, thought you meant Flash for Zero, my bad. Yeah, Zero's ZvT is probably not up to par. I'm not sure he'll reach the finals anyway.

This is very true. Also a Jangbi/Fantasy finals would be "kind of" sweet ..
wow horrible matchups only 1 promising toss may move on, and then we get zero in yet another zvz, fantasy teamkilling soo again, and flash vs a relatively ez zerg..

He seems kinda like Action in ZvT: sick late game, but getting there relatively unscathed is the problem.
Hyvaa vs Zero should've been SK vs Zero :'(. Yeah, it's a teamkill, but a Bo5 between them would make this OSL more epic . Zero should advance. A Flash, Jangbi, Fantasy, Zero Ro4 will be unforgettable.

You will regret saying such things, for shine is going to win out from here on.

I've never seen Shine lose any games whenever his grandma is in the audience.
why is hyvaa zero the only different map order? Also, kind of a shame that gladiator is the first/last set matches. Not that it's a bad map, but considering that is exclusively OSL it'd be the most burdensome to practice on.
Flash and Fantasy should win easily enough. But then if these two meet in the semis, I don't see Flash taking Fantasy giving his current state (Having to practice sc2 plus his tvt a little shaky at times).
Hoping for mini to win, but jangbi will probably take it. Zero should have no big problems either.
If we could get a TvZ final, that would be nice :p so rooting for zero and flash overall ..

I would never cheer for Soo. What's the point of winning a starleague if you walk through easy players? I always want TBLS semis, just never happens that way.
Statistics doesn't matter. It's all about Flash's broken TvZ against Shine's mama.
Edit: Just found out that Flash's current 12-win streak in TvZ was started with a win against Shine also in the OSL. Will he be also the one to end it? or just make it 15?
If mini wins against JangBi, he better win the whole thing. The OSL started with a Toss Champion so it should end with one. Otherwise, a Zerg. Terran got their fair share of golds already.

It aint just a normal Shine Mama, it's Shine's GRANDMAMA
man, only one match per week. Not a lot of BW, but hopefully they'll show us something special! So glad Flash made it out of tiebreakers. Mini was a good outcome too, he looks like he still cares.
Hoping for a Fantasy vs. Zero for the finals. Would probably be the most interesting to watch (Flash v. Zero MSL anyone? bleh). Dear god I hope Soo, Hyvaa and Shine get their asses out of here. Maybe SoO will have some fun stuff ready, but I can't see Shine doing anything except cheese and 2-hatch muta.
hoping for Jangbi vs Flash finals... in the last BW OSL, an unprecedented 4th title vs becoming the 2nd protoss in history to win two OSL back-to-back... could be epic.
These brackets kind of suck. But that's just my opinion.
Also my predictions:
mini > Jangbi Zero > hyvaa Flash > Shine Fantasy > SoO
As much as I like Jangbi, I wanna see mini take this. Then we have a mini > Zero and whoever survives in Fantasy v Flash in the finals. Then in a glorious finals, mini will reign supreme having beaten down arguably the best players of each race to finish his walk on the Royal Road. Calling it now.

Thanks Ryo, and I to understand the backeting is as follows:
1. Jangbi vs. Mini 2. Hyvaa vs. Zero 3. Shine vs. Flash 4. Fantasy vs. Soo
Semis is Winner of 1 vs. Winner of 2 and Winner of 3 vs. Winner of 4
Which means if Flash vs. Fantasy can't meet in the finals? Well, we take what we can, but it would be epic if the bracket was different and Flash and FAntasy dont meet before the finals. Also, epic potential of upset and bizarre oddities here. Hyvaa could win vs Zero. Shine only has to defeat Flash to become the all time most hated progamer in all of esports. soO can definitely beat Fantasy.
I wouldn't put it past Shine to have a specific cheese build for each map. Funny how Fantasy has had to teamkill pretty much all of SKT throughout his OSL career.
I did a quick search on this and couldn't find anything, but is there a schedule for the rest of the rounds? If not announced yet, does anyone have an idea of approximately when the finals will be?
I think Fantasy can beat all (probably Jangbi has some chance against him). But I think Jangbi will lose to most of the zergs and I hope that a Z can win it (though these zergs don't deserve to win this)

Thank you. Damnit I am seriously considering going to Korea to see some Broodwar before it's gone forever, but it's so damn expensive especially so soon and this time of year it seems ...

Hmm... if you can afford it, I'd say go. It would be the experience of a life-time. I think a few other TLers are planning on going too.
Think I'll wake up for JB v mini. Should be a good series. Loving the BO5 RO8 and on, and the all 5 games at once (instead of the split 1-4 / 1-2 format).
