+ Show Spoiler [view old LaZeRKiD45 guide] +hi this is my first tl thread, don't know if this topic is already out there but ill post anyways. I only know how to do this for windows 7 and vista, i'm sure its not hard to figure out on xp tho, this requires NO downloads other then wLauncher itself and takes about 5 minutes. Get wLauncher here HereYou can use wLauncher like chaos launcher to play in #LL games but it doesn't activate the wDetector portion of the launcher unless you type "I am Korean" in the game lobby only in Korean text. So here is how you activate the antihack feature of wLauncher: First we need to change the our language settings and system locale to Korean so go to start button then type "change keyboard" option if your on windows 7 or 8, if your using xp go to control panel.Find the tab "keyboards and languages" and click on change keyboardsNow add all of the Korean languages make sure you check off Microsoft IMENext click the language bar tab, click docked in the task bar, you will need to use the Show language bar later onTab back to the Region and Language tab and change your system locale to korean, you will need to reboot after this. once rebooted open up wDetector after installed, your text on the launcher should have changed from ???? symbols to korean text, make sure you're language bar is minimized, if its "on top" like in this photo, you will get a connection errorThe wdetector text should be at the top if you launched it correctlyonce online, alt tab to your desktop and click the KO on your taskbar, click Show the language bar, then tab back to starcraft and it should appear on top of your screen like so:you want to select the Korean tab and check off Microsoft IMENow click the icon with the "A" and this will turn your text to koreanNow create a game. make sure your text is on korean, and type sksms gksrnrdls, this is how it appears for meafter typed, press enter and wDetector should be onthe launcher will display hackers within the first 5 seconds of the game and you can press * on your numpad to display them publicly in game
respond if you have any questions

Wow thanks so much
My biggest problem was not being able to change to Korean keyboard whilst in SC fullscreen, but following your guide I was able to get it to work and can now use wlauncher, thanks alot!

lol.
Thanks for this, I finally got this fixed last night, I am on windows 8 , change ALL of my settings to korean, and before all I ever had to do was hit ctrl on right side of keyboard, but now it seems I am not able to switch from English to Korean text at all anymore, I have to be in windowed mode and click the " A " to hangul letters then it will let me speak in korean on browser, other programs, but not when im in broodwar full screened or even fullscreen windowed mode...anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Really? I thought wDetector auto activates itself? It always showed some text ingame and in lobby about wDetector.

nope you can launch it and use it like chaos without activating it. but once you type sksms gksrnrdls in korean while in the lobby it will activate it fully.

Nice thread! Thanks for taking the time to help others, though I think there's a shortcut to switch between Korean/ English. I use alt+shift and then the right alt key to shift between languages, not sure if this works for other people as well, just trying to help

It must work as long as it is windows

There is nothing at mz bar where I can switch A with an korean letter. When it is on the desktop, there is only KO for korean and nothing right next to it.
Edit> I can see the korean letters in the cannel, but there isnt the option to change A to a korean letter like on your last pic.

Once you login to your bnet account, alt tab to your desktop and click the KO, you should be able to click show language bar, which will put it ontop of your screen allowing you to change your language to Korean on starcraft

i heard this is much harder and worse on XP, because you can only do that if you change the whole windows to korean. anyone confirm?

Broodwar only shows the simplified version of the language bar on xp.
But you can do as Jemah suggests: Use right alt to toggle.

Um... That has to do with the fact that you don't have ALL settings to korean I believe, change every single setting to Korean in the languages tab, and then try again.

my text comes like that too up in the game and lobby. first turn your korean text on before you make a game, then make a game lobby and type sksms gksrnrdls and it should work

errr, back when I was using XP, I could type korean in bw and windows without much trouble, and windows was still in english (though the clock was in korean numbers :S, as well as some programs). you have to change windows to korean system locale or korean ime, don't remember exactly (that might require you to download a file from the microsoft site). use google, the information is out there: "how korean ime xp" "how korean system locale xp"
|
On XP, you need the install-disc to provide the korean package. Then change everything to korean (language keyboard and region) and reboot.
|
Really thanks you for this guide and tips I haven't fully understand when type sksms gksrnrdls in korean. Is this in the loby game ? I don't think you need the install disc, I don't remember exactly, but I think you might have to download something from the Microsoft site.

Try putting this in your "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder. That's just my wLauncher folder from there. I tried searching for any registry keys, but I couldn't find any (or searched for the wrong ones).

Not entirely sure what you mean - I am trying to install it under C:\Program Files (x86)\.

You just have to set your "system format" to Korean and it works fine.

We could also forgot about fish and play on ICCup

On February 21 2013 16:21 Pucca wrote:We could also forgot about fish and play on ICCup
iCCup is not acceptable above C+ at the moment, there's no games. For high level games you either arrange matches or pray to some deity for a miracle.
On the other hand, fish has a lot of good players, and because of the elo system, you get to play them very soon instead of grinding games (which are hard to find) to B- and above. Granted, the fish elo system is bad for low ranked players, where iccup excels, since it has a lot of low rank differentiation.

We'll you'd probably know better, but that's what I heard from some top players (aka A- and higher). From my experience there are a lot more games on D levels than there are on B; while on fish you get to play very good players sooner.
I would certainly love to have more people on iccup on all ranks though.

You didn't set everything to Korean.
I can't check now, but I think this is what you're missing:
Control Panel -> Region and Language -> Administrative -> Change system locale -> Korean (Korea)
I think your Windows Clock will show time in Korean numbers then, or was that XP, can't remember.
Edit: Let me know if you're supposed to write that "I live in Korea." in the game, in the game lobby or in the channel.

The error says that the program doesn't work in a Virtual Machine.

Can't get it to work without Microsoft IME. Can read korean characters now, can write them if I have Microsoft IME chosen and uncheck the roman letters.
But as soon as I switch to Korean (Korea), it just goes back to english alphabet even though Korean is still selected.
I can get neither of them to succesfully write korean characters in BW.

The Korean bit is just a message saying that it is refreshing the room, as for the cancelling it by typing and not pushing enter, I'm not sure if that stops the refreshing or just the message. Also, if I remember correctly if somebody joins your game who hasn't activated, or just doesn't have, anti hack a message will appear every few seconds prompting for it to be activated.

So you can translate it into other languages? I thought about that, but there's a problem.. there's limited space for patching the strings, and I have it set up so I have null terminators and next line operators exactly where they need to be. In other words, I never meant for the strings to be changed after I changed them.
Edit: Unless you're just interested in unlocking it. That's easy, just find the password in memory "I am Korean." I believe it is, and null the first letter.

Oh cool! Yeah, could you have him PM me? Or are you his friend? heh
Edit: Wait a sec, it looks like he's using wDetector 2.22 with his launcher. My offsets are for 3.24 Also, how is he able to use the wDetector DLL with his launcher? Maybe the older versions can be injected from another launcher but I couldn't seem to inject 3.24 without wLauncher 1.14
Edit: Edit: Nvm, just downloaded his launcher and it seems to actually USE wLauncher to start wDetector (interesting). A launcher inside a launcher... launch-ception!
And yeah, I noticed he's using 3.24 on it, I just read some "how-to" page and it said 2.22 so it's probably outdated. I tried my patch with the launcher and it works correctly, so yeah, if he could just PM me, we can talk.

So I recently started using wLauncher. Everything works and it's all fine. I type out the phrase in lobby, what does it exactly say or look like when there is a hacker? I just need some clarification.

wow. this needs to be stickied. thanks so much.
quick question: I do not have numpad, will all those commands still work for me? Like crashing oblivion users
edit: your english launcher fully unlocks wdetector but there is a bug.
1. the stats of my opponent are constantly spammed once the game starts. it keeps telling me the damn stats.
2. does squelching the player mean booting them?
3. I do not have a numpad >_<
|
Squelching means that the player can't message you, it's like a ignore-command.
|
thanks. hey dr.shrinker, have you had the problem of getting opponent stats constantly spammed at you in game?

Yeah, I sort of just did that to see if the patch was working for my friends.

Thx, I want to make a thread about it, but I needed to wait 3 days to make one.
If you don't have numpad, you can use other hotkeys.
Start wLauncher, select wDetector, and press Config. That opens the config file for wDetector, which is located at:
wLauncher\Data\Plugins\wDetector.ini
Set UseCtrlKey=1
Above that field, you will see the Ctrl combos to do anything that the numpad would have done.

1.) I remember that happening to me.. but I don't know why it happens. It should be silently /stats'ing players so you can see their stats when you press Numpad 0 (or Ctrl+P if you followed the above steps )
If you've restarted BW and wLauncher and it keeps happening, then you can turn it off by going to the Config, and setting AutoRecord=0 Downside is, you don't be able to see player's stats anymore with Numpad 0 (or Ctrl+P)
2.) As someone else said, squelching just means doing /ignore player. Doing it again to a player won't un-squelch them however. (idk, I figured it would, right? )

well..isn't the only place where you'd really want wdetec anyway? anyone know how to stop this if you don't have the numpad.
edit - ok i'll try the above post! :D

Thanks man but it just keeps silently /stats'ing the other player and never stops for the entire game. Driving me crazy. Do you have any other solutions for this? It would be great if I just got their stats once I join their game and that's it. Please help!
edit: I dont have a numpad so i remapped a key to numpad 1. I did this so I can stats the player before the game starts as per instructions here: + Show Spoiler + *PlayerID
The numbers next to each player is their PlayerID. Use the numpad to use these features:
Ctrl + PlayerID will copy their name; use Ctrl + V to paste it. Alt + PlayerID will stats that player. Windows key + PlayerID will squelch that player.
I pressed Alt+Numpad 1, but nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
Btw, if you use Ctrl+P, it only shows ladder stats but not unranked stats.

Yo dys, can you check out what is causing the stats to be constantly silent messaged on screen? I've been troubleshooting and I found out that if I use the original korean wlauncher, everything works fine. but I would rather use yours!

Wait a sec, you completely positive you set AutoRecord=0 in the config, and it's STILL /stats'ing people?
Also, you're saying that if you use the original wLauncher, and patch it with the English patch, then it doesn't constantly stats people? What language is your computer set to, and what language does your Starcraft display?

Try copying the plugin folder from the korean wlauncher into the new one

I actually never touched any of the plugins, except for translating the wDetector config + readme to English. The wDetector.w plugin is in it's original state too.
If people are still investigating this issue, the next step I would take, is to run wDetector and don't patch it with my patch, but instead, unlock it with this threads old first post. It will be in Korean, but it will unlock. Then see if it still spits out the stats all the time. That would narrow down the problem to the actual patch, if it was a problem (but I don't think it is).

Hello everyone, I just uploaded the wdetector and I always get this error message (http://i.imgur.com/cCHC6n3.png) 30 seconds after opening the game with the laucher. It makes Starcraft closes instantly. Does anyone knows how to fix this?
Thanks a lot.

it says something about virtual machines if i'm not mistaken.. I use to get that problem too when I was trying to run wlauncher alone before... it should work fine if you use it from mcalauncher.
|
So, the original korean version without mca64launcher needed 'sksms gksrnrdls', right?

Hello friends I have a problem with WDetector 3.24 download it from this page http://wdetector.blogspot.com/ When I run the patch (English Patch + Unlock) displays a window with an error message " Error Couldn't get Starcraft base address"
Here is a picture --> http://i.imgur.com/ZmVLg0n.png
I have an operating system Windows XP SP3, 32-bit I appreciate many help solve this problem to use this wonderful Wdetector 3.24 (best of all antihacker so far)

Hi, First, many thanks fot the english patch author for the great work... it worked fine for a few months now. However, as of today (13 jan 2014), when starting wLauncher it shows a message that says something about wDetector version 3.26. And after running the patch (English Patch + Unlock) it says again something about wDetector 3.26, and its not working further. I guess it has to do with some kind of update for wDetector... Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks
|
same here.. been seeing people allready using 3.26 wdetector and seems to be allso english translated.. wish someone knew where to find that version..

Hi, today I've tried to get wlauncher via http://wdetector.blogspot.com/. After few failed attempts I realized it was created in 2013. So my question is: Can someone release an updated version of english patch for the new version of wlauncher ?

Just use MCA launcher it includes wlauncher. You should be able to find with a quick search on TL

Okay, So I'm trying to run wLauncher for the first time and a window pops up with korean text and the choices "yes or no" . If I click yes it opens a small screen saying "update" (no progress bar) but then the application just totally disappears after about 3 seconds. If I click "no" the application just disappears. What the heck is going on? I've never run it before. This is my very first time. any ideas?
