Holy, that is beautiful, i like the colour combinations as it matches so well togethern and the amount of detail you managed to put in the painting is some high quality stuff.

That is so awesome. For some reason even though that it's basically just an oil painting of a scene in BW, you're capturing an epic battle between these two titans, it feels magical, great job man.
Im going to be that guy who complains about imbalance in the most inappropriate locations!
JK. That's actually the first time I've seen something like that, it's really awesome when you zoom in and you can see the detail of it. The old-timey blinding cloud looks really well done!
This is probably the best piece of art I have scene on this site. Most people who post their art go for some played out BS, or are just trying to advertise their works or website. This is unique and awesome.
Holly shit, these are so fucking awesome. Best art i have ever seen on TL, and there are some really good art on. I to have to ask, how much for one of these of a similar painting. I'm serious i would buy one.
I think you've created a derivative work inception? First there's the game created by Blizzard, then the map by Rose.of.Dream, then the game played on the map by Flash and Jaedong (and hosted by WCG), then your painting of the map, and you also took a picture of it I guess.

Wow, really well done. When I clicked here, I was expecting portraits or something similar, but painting an impression of the in-game scenario is a really great idea, and it looks absolutely awesome. Great work.
I believe it's from the following situation. I know it well from memory because I personally think this game is the best game of Brood War ever played.
Flash has a 60 supply lead and is just seconds from joining the reinforcements from his base with his forward siege force. If he is succesful Jaedong will have basically lost the game. Jaedong sets up the surround in the last second and manages to engage the weaker half of Flash's army, grabbing what probably is his last chance to get back into the game.
I just had an idea: the next big bw tournament should have such a painting as a prize. or maybe the winner gets a painting from a scene in the final game he won...how cool would that be! *dreaming*

Once I will make a painting for the tournament! I think it's a good idea, why not!
You've created a very beautiful piece of art there. The concept of making a painting of a replay screenshot between two rivals is very original and I adore the attention to detail. Maybe try out something for HotS as it will be launched tomorrow?

I know sometimes an assessment like that can seem a little cliche, but I agree. For anyone who watched Jaedong in 2008-2009 when he was on top of everything, and then had to suffer through 2010 when Flash usurped him to reach even greater heights, this game is a summary of how hard Jaedong had to fight to remain a threat to Flash. Until the very end you couldn't know who was going to win, but the zerg spirit finally took it.
I think JD had the last laugh, winning 4 of their last 5 games together. Yellow had the same final record against Boxer.

Does this count the Boxer vs Yellow showmatch in the last OSL?

No, because I'm not that bright and forgot that game existed. That makes it 5 for 5. It's a little different kind of game, being an OSL exhibition, but I guess that counts no less than SPL all stars.
The paintings somehow become even more valuable to me if I know it's from a match between legends like jaedong or flash. Do others feel the same about this?
Really awesome! People dont usually start painting etc to be able to gain money from it, but you could honestly sell these. I got a real good feeling watching the paintings.
Edit: Not saying that you should sell them at all! But the oportunity is there.
