This second segment of my cast will be copy one of Day9's greatest contributions to Starcraft as you guys will send me replays to cast. [*]Third Segment: Community Interaction. For the conclusion of the show, stream viewers can get on battle for pride on BGH, 3v3, or 2v2 maps where I will observe all the chaos live.

Funday Monday on Tuesday
4/29-5/6 Drop from the sky!
This week you can only attack by dropping units. Drop units in the bases, drop units on the army, drops, drops, drops!!!! (You may defend on the ground.)
This week you must declare a unit a hero by giving it a name in chat. Then you must try and get as many kills as possible on your hero unit. If your unit dies you can name a new hero or concede to your opponent.
Dr. Suess says Nuke You Opponent! Taken from one of Day9's greatest ideas ever, you must type a phrase that sounds like an excerpt from Dr. Suess in all caht while nuking your opponent. Sorry protoss and zerg players unless you use mind control!
No anti air units! You may not build units that can attack air. Buildings that attack air are allowed. Let's see how players push against their opponents with only a ground attacking force.
--T-- Get a Dropship before expanding. Research Vulture Mines before expo. Research Yamato Canon before 2nd expo. Build a Nuclear Silo before 2nd expo. Research Blind (Medic) before 2nd expo. Research Lockdown or Cloak before 2nd expo.
--P-- Build an Assimilator before a pylon. Research Maelstrom or Mind Control before expanding. Research D-Web before 2nd expo. No forge before 2nd expo. Psi storm before expo. Research shuttlespeed before expo.
--Z-- Expo three times before Lair. Research Burrow before Lair. Double evo before Lair. Research drop before Hive. Research Ensnare before Hive. Build an Ultralisk cavern before 2nd expo. Build a Deflier Mound before 2nd expo. Upgrade to Greater Spire before 2nd expo.

Any unit that has an AA autoattack is not allowed. I'll allow spell casters as long as they don't have an air auto attack (arbiters). But for example, templars you may not morph archons.

Yeah for this I'm going to make sure all VODs are immediately put on youtube. I know it's late for the Europe crowd but this is the earliest I could make it work. Hopefully some of the European night owls will stay up to play community games.

Thanks, great to hear! 11 o'clock is not even incredibly mega late for my sleeping habits but defnietly can't make watching it whole a regular fixture, so VODs will be fantastic

I won't be 100% strict on the rules. If you bend them like in this instance to make guardians I'll make a judgement call when I review the replays and am deciding which ones will be put on the stream.
Will there just be one challenge you put up at a time? I understand it's a weekly challenge, but maybe you can put a few of the weekly challenges out at once. This way, people can kind of pick and choose and just have that replay in by the submission deadline.

That's a great idea. The problem I see is that people may not choose not to do one of the challenges with the closest deadline and I'll have no content for the show. I'm already only getting a few submissions. And it's more fun to have people forced to try the current challenge for the challenge itself instead of being picky about which challenges they can most easily do. Am I over thinking this?

Your show = your rules. While being considerate of the feedback is mandatory imo, you have enough creative licence and little to no respnsibility to anyone yet that you can fairly safely just "give things a go on the fly" and not overthink stuff too much. So for now let it be as is, gather responses (like this one) and than decide when, if any adjutments to make.

nope, I think you should stick to just one a week. I forgot about this challenge but I'll try and give it a try in a TvZ or something since I would like to test its viability lol.

It's an impossible scenario for TvZ. If you can't make anti-air, then no Marines. If there's no Marines, there's no initial units from the Barracks until the Academy finishes and you get Firebats. Even if Zerg goes 3hatch before pool, they can still get Zerglings out and kill a bunch of SCV's...
The only way to win in this scenario (not that I'm bashing on the no Anti-air thing) is if you make a Zergling-tight wall on a non-FS map, go straight into 1fact 1port so you can get Vultures/Tanks along with Vessels for Mutas and hope to Jebus that they don't go mass Mutas for whatever reason.
you can do an early tank vulture all in, you can go mech with turret heavy and vessels, its definitely not as hard as you're making it, just theres no reason to go firebats lol
just wall in, nobody tries to break that with lings unless you tell them what you're doing

I thought we couldn't go Turrets? And I still don't see a way you can avoid the hell of Zerglings in the beginning. Things like "early tank vulture all in" is much easier said than done, getting to that point is the hard part.
what? do zergs use lings early? personally even going overpool feels a huge waste, the terran just walls or scvs+a few marines on ramp and you cant do anything vs anything but 14 cc

Need to cast bizzy vs bisu game. Bisu was messing around a bit in the start but got serious towards the end. Wasn't really a good game in general, but still.

I mostly play TvZ lol so I figured I'll go one rax gas academy and get a fast ebay out. Use firebats+2 medics to defend then go mass firebats+turrents+tanks+vessels or something. I dunno but I can see it being a very entertaining game lol. There is the big possibility that I'll lose all my games and tank my rank though XD

THe ultra scout the only build possible for TVZ.
or you could just attack with 10 workers as long as the zerg goes 12 hatch and rely on micro and beefy SCVs to win XD
i see absolutely no reason go to firebats, you wall in and go fast vultures (think fantasy build without the valks) if he's going lings, most likely he's powering and teching and then you go for 2 fact vult+tank+mines+turrtes contain and push into his base ftw you can go vessels against mass muta anyway

double vessel production lol. Well, I just think a firebat+medic+vessel combo would be cool(some tanks for sunkens/lurkers as well).
but firebat+medic is worthless against hydras lurkers ultras and mutas, if you're going lings you barely need medics, and while you're at it why bother with firebats when vultures are good at it and use mines to deal with lurkers and ultras?
i mean you can kill lurkers with firebats if you are winning hard and trying to break past swarm but thats about it

I just won some zerg on circuit breaker with firebats+medics then tanks. I feel bad though since he said he was new when I asked lol.
You guys are kicking ass now with submissions. Since they all came in last night it looks like I won't be able to view them ahead of time. So we will all experience the epicness together!

Install the Korean language pack, set your keyboard to Korean, and make all non-Unicode programs use Korean as the language. Then you can see what hangul they typed and put it in yourself.
i am disappoint guys everyone just played against players who were training to be able to beat the AI and just killed them with zealots or firebats or zerglings which ironically is exactly what the AI was doing no honour

hey now lol. My 2nd and 3rd games were more interesting and actually had D+ zerg players, no newbies lol. Given, I ended up losing both games because no AA is hard for terran (I want my marine!) so at least this first game was favourable XD
On April 02 2014 08:45 Slayer91 wrote: yeah but anyone can build no anti air against good players and NOT win
so you want a replay of building no AA against good players and winning, right? I only played a couple of games but compared to that first one, I would say that I was slowly refining it. Maybe 5 more games and I would've come up with some build that kinda worked at D level (knowing how to wall helps lol).
On April 02 2014 08:48 Slayer91 wrote: well thats why its a challenge isnt it
well yes, I agree lol. Just saying that it's not as easy for low level players to win and Bisudagger was casting random replays so he wouldn't know which was a good game or not. The challenge was nice because for me, I moved away from 1 rax FE which is my usual and tried to get a fast academy to get a firebat or two for zergling attacks. I think that game 1 Bisudagger casted was my fastest stim in all my TvZ games XD
As for the other two games I mentioned, in my 2nd game, I ended up against a D+ zerg. I ended up losing my rax and 2 depots early on because we played on FS (closer than circuit breaker) and my firebat came out after his 6 zerglings hit my base. I managed to survive and expanded but then had a later ebay because I was starved for minerals and things spiraled from there. 3rd game was a bit better since I went 2 factory and tried to get some worker kills but my macro slipped too easily (used to bio hotkeys) and lost that too. Sad part was needing just one more tank to survive XD
edit: oh, you're saying we should've sent him only replays of games that we won lol. ya, good point. It slipped my mind but I thought he wanted games where you tried no AA whether you lost or won.

Strongly at this point. I keep hoping twitch won't be all microsoft and suck balls now that it is at the top.
Thanks for the games everyone! Tonight was fun. Perfect night of blowing off steam. I'll resume the normal show next week and the current challenge will remain so submit replays if you want. <3
When I first started watchign BW I was very team biased and suported OZ and Jaedong and bascially had no inerest in the other teams only read about OZ and bascially treated other teams (espically SKT and thier players) as the enemy. But after reading this interview with Best I started to see the human side of the players a lot more and started rooting for indivduals and the players I liked the personalities of more than just supporting the teams. That interview I thought was really moving and to hear what Best was going through and the kind of reaction and attacks he was getting from netizens really got to me. I was so happy when shortly after that he started winning and really performing again.
At the end of that interview Best tells the interviewer to go and talk to JangBi and that interview isn't quite as moving but still worth a read. Both these players where slumping hard under constant attack from thier fans and real pressure from thier teams. It was so great to see them both come back so stongly and JangBi even win a starleague. Those two players will always be among my favourite Protoss' just from the sheer pashion and emotion they went through.
