Hello and welcome to yet another Liquipedia Brood War topic. A few days ago I already wrote something about how blank some pages of Koreans were. However, this time it's a bit different, I'd like to focus on the SOSPA scene. Note, this is one of two topics, if you're a (Silver Coined) editor and didn't receive a super secret PN to a hidden agenda propaganda post featuring nude pics of Bisu, please check your inbox. I might have forgotten to tell you.
The Idea
The idea is to build a portal for the SOSPA scene, just like we have for the foreigners and the ex KeSPA events. Don't worry you do not have to actually plan or work out design related issues, like the overall presentation. However, it'd be great if you could spend a few minutes adding this and that to pages (more about that below), because right now a lot has to be done. The SOSPA scene became the center of this page and is the only real active remainder of our beloved community. It'd be a shame if we didn't present it perfectly, so outsiders have it easy to learn about the "new" trend if they missed out on it.
Pages needing work
Almost all tournaments are already on Liquipedia, which is great. There are VODs, links to the summaries and so on and so forth. This needs little to no work. However, most of the players, new ones and retired pros joining again, have no updates at all. All their pages will tell you is that "they now play in amateur leagues". Most of the true new faces, such as Larva or Mong, don't even have a profile picture. The overall Afreeca Page is a mess. Also, the new PL teams have no page at all, but should have one. They are not the official teams anymore, hence a new page would be really, really nice.
Draft: Pages needing Work
The page above on my userspace shows what needs Updates the most. It's a draft of what I had in mind. Pick one of the links, write somthing, search pictures. Any contribution, regardless of how small, might help out a lot. Don't worry, it's mostly text based stuff, no need to learn fancy CSS things. Even if you just leave a link on the talk pages - we'll be thankful.
If you have more thoughts on this, e.g. things which should be on the Portal Overview but currently are not listed, are also welcome. Don't forget it's a community organized wiki, not a tyranny (except for the coin part). We'll eventually get what we're willing to give.

This would be really nice.
Adding another page for listing All Stars, Race Wars, and King of the Hill would be nice, summary of special events or whatever.
Added some things to the draft.

This could've been a lot easy for people to understand Korean.
Maybe someone could contact those players/Afreeca fans and have the players/Korean fans themselves writing in Koreans on the TLPD pages and then have another person translating them to English. There are very little chance to have non-Korean speaking individuals to have enough knowledge about the players.

Well, in cases of the Ro32 people you rarely read things about it might be true. To write something about Larva should be a lot easier though, there are interviews (translated already) in the SSL Coverage articles, his run in the SSL7 is documented, etc. I believe the SSL9 had articles for every single week. We don't need a biography of everyone with full detail, but as it is now, it's bad. There's literally NOTHING on mong except his finishes.
Edit: Doesn't mean it's a bad idea, just wanted to keep undecided people motivated :[

thank for the effort, really appreciate it

Re: team names, I think we should instead have pages for SBENU, Commawang, etc instead of naming them "ex-whatever." Though I've made a decision to retire from making LP a big time commitment, I may try to pop in from time to time to make a few changes if some pages really need the work.
As for the SOSPA players' profiles, it can be difficult to find a good, hi-res image for the profile pic, especially when most/all of the ones currently available are copyrighted to dailyesports and fomos. The great pics we have of players from the KeSPA days were mostly taken by NeverGG. Perhaps we could find someone else to continue that tradition for us, or reach out to the korean news agencies to see if we could get permission to use their images for the wiki.
Other than that, it seems like you're really putting in a lot of effort to improve the LP for the current thriving BW scene. Thanks for the hard work. BW fighting!

I was working on Perfectman's page. How do I add a picture to his profile? The way is unclear since we don't use urls.

I saw, thanks so far. I'll check the page tomorrow.
As for the pictures goes:
- Log in to Liquipedia - Upload File (left menue, only visible if you logged in)
Make sure you have the rights to upload the pic (so dodge FOMOS / Daily eSports). Two links to SOSPA related pictures are in the Draft page I linked in the OP.
