I'm sure they do. Incontrol is there and he used to be a big BW guy, and honestly most SC2 players have a pretty strong BW background even if they weren't pro players
I don't mean to be rude to Nathanias, but when he was casting the fOrGG vs Jaedong showmatch, he called a relatively normal 3rd as a hidden expansion. So to say SC2 players have a strong BW background isn't necessarily true. But again, respect to Nathanias, I think he's fun to watch for WCS.
Here's to hoping that Apollo, iNcontrol, and White-ra are there to cast.
I agree that Nathanias was pretty clueless at the time of the JD ForGG match, but ever since Nathanias tuned in to the SSL9 finals (he was in the Twitch chat during Sayle's cast), I got the impression that he at least developed some interest in Brood War and looked more into it. I certainly wouldn't count him out if he gets his knowledge base higher.
To be totally transparent, if you were watching live I made sure to say several times I never followed pro BW. I only cast the match because I was the main English stream for the whole SC2 event as well. I don't claim to have any understanding of pro BW even though I began playing in 2004 it was never melee games only customs. I couldn't tell you a single build order for any race
of course I watch some bw stuff these days if it's on, but otherwise I didn't get into esports until sc2 and that's my primary focus

Yeah, it doesn't help that the BW Terran players are not doing too well either these days. ex-STX SouLs Modesty is just killing Terrans left right and center with his godly 77% winrate in ZvT with his new Guardian/Devourer meta :p

Nothing to fret about. The cast was pretty entertaining, and its 100 times better that 12,5 minutes of radio silence, especially since the game was so-so. Thanks and looking forward to more such coincidences

I only watched the first two of those vods, but I'm not sure if you can call it "new guardian/devourer meta" when the terrans in those games were already dead to muta stack micro.

Yeah, you can say that for such a build to work, you need good Muta micro for it to be effective. It's just that usually, you don't see a Zerg commit to making Mutalisks the entire game to win and/or you see them transition into Lurkers and Hive tech to get Defilers with Dark Swarm. It's just him looking to end the game with effective harassment, forcing the Terrans to go bonkers while having to defend Mutalisks and making a significant amount of Turrets to capitalize with Guardians to end the game.
