This will be my first formal attempt of attempting of writing a writeup, I just thought I'd give it a try and have some fun doing it. Let me know what you think.
We begin on none other, Fighting Spirit; as it's entity is forever tied with Brood War. As long as Brood War exists so shall Fighting Spirit. Moving on from that super important tidbit, Mind spawns in at the 7 o'clock while his opponent Pusan, spawns to the north of him at the 11 o'clock position. Mind decided to open standard opting for the good ol' fake double push. Pusan opts to go for the two gate power-goon and sends a quick first zealot off Mind's habitat only after failing to scout cross-spawn first and then to the top right hand corner.
Despite what seems to be a very common TvP opener, specific to Korea or not, the zealot is pushed off, only resulting in 4 SCV's being pulled off and some intense marine micro and then proceeds to storm off down Mind's ramp.
As Mind begins to push out with his Fake Double as he drops his Command Center he tries to go on a covert ops mission with his initial scouting SCV sadly he only looks up to a zealot mocking him...
Soon Mind is pressuring the front door of Pusan with a pretty admirable force, 5 marines, 1 vulture and a tank.
The battle, or rather skirmish happens resulting in 5 brave marines to give their life to retarded mechanical robotics with superior range, a brave biker who had the call of duty and gave his life to put down two mines only to die in flames and his mines to be only defused from a safe distance. Leaving him only a single mine and tank on the back foot. This would be a good time to say your prayers if you are a Terran fan...
[
Then something miraculous (if you are a terran fan (of course)) happens...
The four dragons pursuing their slaughter of the Terran gets hit by two mines from exquisite control by Mind. Resulting two goons to fall and trickle of blue bloof, one with around 20hp to spare and the more fortunate Dragoon after the Horrible Mine Incident only had his shields broke.
With broken moral upon returning back to base their leader Pusan orders the production of a templar archives. His plan? Dark Templar. For you, namely Mind, could no longer evade my wraith he must have thought to himself.
All the while, Commander Mind gives a nice pat on the pack to his trustworthy tank by giving him a new paint job and fixing any scruffs after completing the Horrible Mine Incident only a few short minutes beforehand. After which point Mind decides to attempt to contain his Protoss adversary.
Both players decide to dance a bit with their armies for a short while, until...
Yup. After what seemed hours of nothing was going to happen a protoss Dragoon falls in combat. Just as the newly warped in Dark Templar that appers to be the brother or close relative of this fallen Dragoon. Uh oh... He's mad and he's charging...
But to no avail. There is only black smoke gently being released into the air... But he was the leader, he led the charge for his fellow protoss to follow him into the brink of combat... Even when Pusan's martyr fell, even when the mechanical force from Mind was advancing closer through his natural the moral given off by this brave soul for his comrade or brother, whatever he was, was enough to get his probes to be be pulled off the mineral line to get a complete surround on a tank!
Fortunately, for Mind he kept his faithful tank from the original Fake Double push earlier in the game. Showing his continued effort to reward such bravery and survivabilty he quickly surrounds the tank with three SCVs repairing all of his damage parts all the while giving him a nice glass of lemonade (unlike the White House with their recently assassinated 2 Star General **cough **cough). It would appear this incredibility lucky tank driver will live to see another fight.
Pusan after losing another several comrades is able to fend off the onslaught of the mechanical army of Mind for the time being....
While both forces attempt to re-stabilize and rebuild up their respectable armies, Pusan tries to be a bit cute as he notices Mind is in the middle of the map attempting to keep up the pressure. To try to attempt to punish this hyper-aggression he brings a shuttle carrying god-knows-what into Mind's natural...Directly flying into a turret which now crashes and burns into the ground carrying whatever it had inside of it...
Pusan at this point seemed a bit lost... attempting a reaver transition of all things off a continued-two-base-economy attempts to defend Mind's second or third (depends on what you count as a tried-attempt) attempt to effectively contain Pusan.
Despite Pusan's valiant efforts of yet again breaking the contain, Mind's reinforcements were much too great. Pusan lost another shuttle during the engagement as he attempted to flank from the rear as well a frontal assault but only to pack the reaver inside the shuttle and lost the shuttle before the reaver could be saved. As such, any attempt for counter pressure was lost and took far too much damage to recover with a sizable army to rebelled against the amazing terran known as Mind.
